Seated Spinal Rotation

Exercise Mat Abs Abs: Side Back Back: Lower Core Hamstrings

This is an advanced exercise that should not be done if you have any type of back injury.

Instructions

  1. Sit on an exercise mat or on the floor with your legs in a "V." You should be sitting very tall with your arms reaching out to the sides.

  2. Exhale and turn toward the left, letting your gaze follow your left hand.

  3. Continue exhaling at reach your right hand past your left foot so that your little finger touches your little toe. Avoid letting your buttocks lift off of the mat. Inhale and slowly return to the start position. Repeat this movement to the right side. Repeat 2-4 times per side.
