Awesome job man..

Quick question, hows the skin now? Read a few of the earlier posts where you expressed concern about your excess skin. Just wondering how its going with that?

Having similar worries is all :)

Congrats again.

the skin is good, I tookl the entire summer to build up muscle in my abdominals / legs the only place where I do have extra skin is in my stomach its kind of hard to tell unless I really grab on to it lolssss... anyone who is going to lose weight at such a rapid pace will have extra skin, I was just lucky enough to be in my 20's when I lost all the weight I could imagine that there would be more excess skin if this happened when i was older... but in general I do not have much of it it tightened...

how much weight did you lose? How is your skin aroudn your stomach?

and thanks!

Glad to hear its not really causing you any problems.

Ive lost 131lbs so far, im only 23 so thats def on my side. My stomach is the worst area, its hard to tell the extent cause I have a bit more to lose, but its there!! Also my thighs, but not as concerned!!

Well I guess i'll have to see how things go, fingers crossed eh?

Cheers for the reply, and congrats again!!

woah congrats man, thats a ton of weight glad to see you made a drastic difference in your life that takes some kind of change .... you had 50 lbs on me!!! haha!!

I would get down to that weight you want to get down to, and begin the weight training from there....

best of luck and congrats!!!

well I figured I would post to my journal/weightloss before thing lol? Well I have been doing my normal routine which consists of playing hockey 5-6x a week and working out about 3-4x a week..... the thing that has been really odd is that I weighed myself today and I weigh 181lbs? Not that I am freaking out about it because I still look the same and feel the same...

My gym routine has changed that might be my reason? I am doing 3 mile runs - > 15 min elipticals and I follow the rest with nothing but plyometrix exercises for a good 30 mins or so... I believe I am making more muscle with the calories I am consuming... atleast I hope!!!

Break starts December 14th - > January 26th ... this will give me more than a month to lose 11ish lbs, yes call me crazy but the smaller I am in net the more I move faster and the more stress it takes off of my knees... I can tell the weight difference drasticly, yes sounds dumb it is....... but I will try to lose about 10-11 lbs here over break.....

Some pics of the gf and I over thanks giving, we went out ice skating downtown theres a small ice rink right in the middle of downtown pittsburgh.

11 pounds???? I know... you want cat like reflexes and SPEED! Frickin' goalies are CRAZY! Speaking of that... anyone ever tell you you look like a clown wearing those "silly" looking skates?? :D :D Hope all is continuing to go well for ya man!

11 lbs is a little far fetched, ill be happy with 5-7... Im up to 180lbs, duno how it happened lol? Im not even sure to be honest with you... problem is I have been playing hockey alot more and trying to conserve energy to play without working out cardio wise so much.

I feel like I could prolly jump over a 5 story building lol, my legs have gotten so much bigger due to doing plyo and weight lifting....the only problem is its kind of slowing me down a bit, so I am going to try a "cutting" phase here and try to lose some body fat.......

1 more final to go and I am done till jan 26th!!!!!

Maybe the "creep up" on the scale is due to all the added leg muscle?? (or the team partying??? Gotta love team cohesion and comradary!!*I can't spell worth a damn*) That's what I would have to say anyway. :D Good luck on the last final, and enjoy the time off. I know you had mentioned being extremely tired a few weeks back... take advantage and recoup!

yes thats what I am thinking, in the summer time I could play for hours on end, but now my crease movements and butterfly slide is so much better tan before... I cant play as long as I used to be able to... I am still in excellent shape, I just feel stronger than I have in the past..... maybe I am just being a weird goalie, thats prolly what it is.

haha, yes.... travel hockey and having fun with your team mates all the experience and stupid crap you will do while traveling and in practices makes everything worth it. Im sure you also have your fair share of stories.

I think it's all the latter man!! Frickin' goalies! :D The whole play as long thing, maybe it's a matter of performance, or the caliber of play you are throwing out. Think baseball... pitchers throw 100 "game" pitches, and they are down for three days!!! Back in HS, they probably threw every other game! Just a thought...

OH MY GAAWD!! I could go on forever with all the "good time" stories!! I will never forget those times/events! A few from the ice, but mostly from practices, buses, trains, planes, hotels!!! Think of the funniest thing you "guys" ever did... we did the same shit 10 years before you!! You just may have perfected it!! After the OML, we sit in the "loft", which is a sports bar inside the rink I play at, and reminise about not too many games, but almost always about jokes, nicknames, sisters of other players ;), all that stuff. Someone should write a book called "Tails from A Lockerroom" and have athletes and former athletes tell stories about things they heard, or saw in a lockerroom, or while traveling as a team!! I'm sure every washed up has been could write their own entire book!! I know I could! I'm not jealous of you at all, just really appreciative of what you are going through. "GOOD TIMES"... HAVE THEM!!

Well things are going great, I just got all my grades back and I have a 3.1.. which is awesome! Damn business teacher shes like 60 years old and screwed me with a C in her class errrrrr!!!!

I have been working out constantly back to my old cutting routine, for the past week I have been hitting anywhere from 4-6 mile days I ran 32 miles last week over the 6 days I worked out, out of the week... I lost 3 lbs already I am down to 178ish I need to get back to that 173-175 before the season starts up again january 17th!!

I have been living such a different life I need the pics to really appreciate what it felt like to live such a irresponsible lifestyle.

First off... great pictures. Second... what a great way to sum things up! That it is a Lifestyle.. that that lifestyle IS a CHOICE.... and the idea of living an "IRRESPONSIBLE" life is what lead to your "weight issues" in the past... powerful! I know that I could sum up my old habbits using the same word!

an
d my little brother and I playing mini hockey haha!!

What a great example you have set for "little Bro"!!

Congrats, and thanks for continuing to inspire.
