Olympics: The Final Weekend of the 2010 Winter Olympics is approaching, but who will win the Gold?

A short biography on this Phenomenal Olympic Athlete

It was an easy win yesterday for the Men's US hockey team, reeling in 5 goals alone in the first period against Finland. After Kiprosoff let in 4 out of 7 shots on goal, the coach decided to pull him out of the game. But, their relief goalie couldn't save them either.

They were pretty much doomed after the first 15 minutes of the first period, but the Finns played on as a strong American team blew them out of the water. There was no support on defense for the Finnish team, and the goaltending was an atrocity. At one point both Kiprosoff and a defensemen blatantly handed the puck to a player on the US team, and the horn was blown for another goal against them.

An easy win for the Americans puts them in place for a chance at the gold medal. For a coach that came into the games with a new strategy emphasizing youth instead of experience, it has really paid off.

Most fans are counting on a game between Canada and the US in the finals, much like the women's team. But can the men's Canadian Olympic team pull off a win after they already were defeated by the youthful Americans?

It will definitely be a tough battle between these two countries. Two countries that train and play all year long, but also whose love for the game couldn't be any stronger. Well, unless you are a Canadian hockey fan. And, you can bet that most the fans in the stands will be flashing their brightest reds, and cheering "Go Canada" until their voices are gone.
