Today I reckon I was quite good in terms of calories but also my friend texted me when I was at work the conversation went as follows...

Him: You fancy meeting up for a drive tonight?
Me: Yes that'd be great!
Him: We can go to the chippie or something.
Me: Can we not go to the chippie, is there no where else?
Him: Not in Linlithgow really no...
Me: Ok I'll buy some filled baguettes from the bakers and we can have them in the car somewhere.

So I had an egg mayo baguette and he got the tuna one (was a sort of lucky dip). I'm still trying to find the no ofcalories in one of these but I don't reckon it'll be good. Think from now on I'll start assuming they are 700 odd cals and maybe I'll only have them on an exercise day as they look huge (my friend joked that he thought I was bringing a baseball bat out my bag). The nice thing was it filled me up no end and was very tastey and it was a wholemeal one so surely couldn't have been as bad as a bag of chips.

Anyway from tomorrow I am starting a new plan which includes

6 portions of fruit & veg a day (4 of which to be veg to help boost metabolism)
Breakfast every day (no excuses)
Porridge for breakfast 3 times a week
8 hours sleep every night
Exercise no matter how lightly 6 days
3200ml of water a day
No cheese & crackers
No fizzy juice
No chocolate or sweets of any kind (instead having nuts to compensate for calories burned during exercise)

As I'm kind of stuck at the minute I figured I need to shock myself again a bit to keep loosing!

A good shock every now and then to keep you going is good. Hope you are well. Looks like you are eating well.

yay for no chippie... uh wait. what's a chippie?

hmm. what about if you actually ate a few extra calories for the next few days. Not alot but maybe 100-200 calories and then go back to ur normal routine? I've head that can help when plateauing. Or just trying a different exercise routine than ur normal?

C a chippie is a type of fast food place we have in the UK that specialises in deep fried food heh!

I checked the scales today for the July monthly challenge and I'm down to 143.5 so with any luck my new plan will help me loose a bit more before I grind to a temporary halt again.

Way to go mixing things up Crunchie. I am sure it will work and get those last few pounds shifting in no time ;)

Well I had to check my weight today to see if my new weight had stayed the same but was shocked to see it'd actually gone down by a pound again so that's me at 142.5. Yesterday was very good and I had 4 big portions of veg, maybe this plan is working a bit too well!

I was at the gym and the instructor guy offered me and my mum these little cartons of juice. As this is a brand that is advertised as being farly healthy I drank it pretty quick. On looking at the calories on the back however I found there was about 110 in that tiny wee carton. I had to do a bit extra on the treadmil to make up for it but I did manage to run 1.2miles and for my stubby legs that's quite good. I'm finding running much easier now I've lost the 17lbs.

My plan for today has had to include some nuts as I'm struggling to get the right amount of cals in otherwise.

Crunchie you are just doing amazing. Juice is a dangerous thing. Even if you don't add a lot of sugar, you're still taking the calorie content of a lot of fruit and distilling it into one cup. Man, it is tasty though.

Another pound!!! Way to go Crunchie :) And just remember, just because its 110 cals doesn't mean its not good for you. I eat two salmon fillets most weeks and they are 265 calories each!!! But they are full of healthy omega oil so I have them ;)

Keep up the great work!!

PS I should have said they are good for me ....... and I LOVE salmon!!

Oh, and when you think that a full bottle of soda is 250 calories and does *nothing* for you - that 110 for juice is still a MUCH better option!

Granted, I like to take my calories in the form of FOOD! ;)

And, um...who is HIM?
;)

Oh I'm just being miss nosey ;)

It was after reading of this:
Him: You fancy meeting up for a drive tonight?
Me: Yes that'd be great!

I didn't know if I missed the who in the Him conversation ;)

Ahhhhh him would be my pal Ozzy who I sometimes go on wildlife watching day trips with. We'd made an arrangement to meet up on Monday night but it was pissing down so we had a picnic in the car. Probably the best person at giving hugs I know!:D

He doesn't look 39 though does he?

Ummm...NO, he does not look 39! Especially coming from my 40 year old eyes ;)

And a good hug giver is a GOOD thing!
:D

Picnic in the car? Great hugs? Sounds awfully sexy!!!! ;)

Six pounds from goal, that is just truly amazing. You've done so well!!!

Oh, been there, done that Crunchie...but the guy I was dating had been officially "separated" from his wife.

Apparently not separated enough ;)
