M.L.B's Road to happiness

AWay to go MLB, you're doing really well. I wish I had to motivation to stop being lazy lol. I'd probably be doing better than I am now. A loss is a loss!

I feel so bad for buying EA 2 only to have it sit there...ugh, all my games are like that.

Bah!

Keep it up :) you'll get below 100 in no time.

AA loss is a loss loch, and you are doing great. From looking at your diary I can see that you have a lot going on around you, and if was in your shoes I would probably runaway and leave you standing there barefoot lol.... Just jk, but seriously if I was in your place I would probably not have any strength to workout, let alone watch what I eat. but you are still losing weight no matter what, and that really motivates me to keep going.

Nice loss, MLB! :hurray:

Damn - I need to step it up! Everyone on here lately has been making me look bad!

Good luck on hitting 99kg! If you keep going at this rate, you'll hit that mark easily!

ASo after 14 weeks of using EA sports active 2, I decided that I needed to change my routine up a bit. So I started Insanity today and I gotta tell you, it really kicks your ass... just after 20 minutes of the fitness test, I was out of breath, and a lot more out of breath than I ever was in all 14 weeks on EA active sports 2. I'll give a better opinion on it after I finish my first week, and see if I get better results than I did with EA sports active 2.

Just be careful, MLB!

I'm not entirely sure what 'Insanity' involves (maybe you could give a brief outline), but make sure you don't hurt yourself!

Other than that, keep kicking ass, man!

Athere are a lot of videos on youtube that could explain it a lot better than I can, but it's basically an ass kicking workout, that involves a lot of movement and short periods of rest.

Hey MLB,

I love Insanity! Getting my ass kicked has never felt so good! ;) I'm doing it with P90X and on the hardest cardio P90X day I kept having to pause the video to catch my breath and lower my heart rate, but after one week of doing Insanity, I could do the P90X all the way through and at maximum effort! It made such a drastic difference in my cardio, plus he works you out so hard you hardly even notice the time going by. Have you gotten to Pure Cardio yet? You should have seen the fear stricken look on my face when Shaun T. says, "I have to be honest with you, I'm a little nervous about this workout!" haha I was like holy crap, here we go!! That one is definitely the toughest, no breaks! Looking forward to your review, good luck!

AAfter only doing the fit test on Sunday, my legs were aching the next day, but it's probably because I didn't stretch enough. So I couldn't workout yesterday, but I got back to it today, ad will see what the results are for this week.

I thought about getting Insanity, but the way my living room is set up, I don't have any room to workout. I'll be getting a new place in 6 months so maybe then I'll give it a shot. I'm doing really well going to the gym, so maybe I'll just stick with that. I also seem to fizzle out on at home workouts. I guess while I'm doing it, I say to myself, "I could be sitting on the couch perfectly comfy and watching something way better." Then I plop myself on the couch and stop working out. It's happened so many times, I just gave up. But maybe after making progress in the gym, I'll be more apt to stick with an at home routine, who knows!

Keep up the good work!

AWell during today's workout on the treadmill, I herd a cracking sound, and it seems that the surface of the treadmill might have cracked a bit. So my treadmill is out of commission for the time being, and depending on how much it costs to fix it, I might just get a membership to the gym, and start weight lifting. At least I have Insanity to hold me over for now, but I really got used to running on the treadmill, and I really started to enjoy it.

Ahasn't been the best week for me, but I still managed to get a loss in this week. Lost 0.4kg and am down to 105.6kg... Need to get my shit together and and get my head back on track.

Hey, what do we always say, MLB? A loss is a loss!

Fantastic job! Always pat yourself on the back and be proud of any loss! You're just that much closer to your goals!

ADang, MLB, when you said you heard a crack on the treadmill I thought for a second that the crack was you! Glad to hear you aren't injured, but that does suck about the treadmill, hopefully it doesn't set you back too much to get it going again. Did you finish the week of Insanity? When I did my first week I actually saw a gain, I imagine it's because it's a big shock to your muscles and they have to repair and swell and hold water. But still, that's almost a pound you lost this week, I think you should be proud of that! Keep up with the Insanity, I bet you'll see even greater results next week :)

Yah a loss is a loss, and as long as the scales keep going down, all is good.

What Frogged said.. as long as the scales go down, it's a good thing! Whether it's 0.4kg or 4kg, it's all part of the journey. Keep at it.

Thanks crym

The crack ended up being the deck of the treadmill, so I have to see how much that will set me back. The first week of insanity was tough, muscles were acting up so I only got through 4 workouts instead of all 6, but I think my muscles are now used to the intensity of insanity, so I am hoping to finish the 2nd week completely.

ASorry Crmylyn Forgot to report my weigh in last week, but I only lost 0.1 kg so wasn't much to report. This week however I lost 1.7 kg and I am down to 103.8kg (228.8 lbs).

Unfortunately I got injured in my right foot this week, and while I can still walk, all other activities that include putting pressure on my foot, are out of the question. I am going to see my doctor on Tuesday and we will see if it's a long term injury or a short one.

So I am thinking that I will probably join a gym and start lifting weights, and use the stationary bike and elliptical that they have there for cardio.

AOnly lost 0.1 this week, but now that my foot is feeling better, I can push it hard this week.

Only??

Come on now, MLB

I know sometimes I'm a little sadfaced at a somewhat low loss, but it's a loss! It really builds up in a short amount of time (much like calories!). Before you know it, you'll be at your goal weight and then be in the dance of maintenance mode!
smile.gif

You're going in the right direction, bud. Be proud! :hurray:

Good luck with your foot, just don't overdo it! Take it slowly and give yourself time to gauge how it feels after a proper workout. It's not a race and you'll get there, just like everyone else as long as we don't give up!

Thanks for stopping by my diary MLB! Hope you had a great holiday and are getting yourself back on track like I am!
