M.L.B's Road to happiness

AThanks Jen and laurince, have to keep my head in the game but I am already feeling that this week isn't going to be my finest.

For the past 2 days I started getting some pain during my workouts, and stopped so I wouldn't make things worse, so I don't think I'll have a good week.

Try to keep a positive outlook if you can, MLB

I honestly know how hard it can be some days to do that, but try your best.

Sometimes your body can surprise you. There have been weeks (just recently actually) where it seemed like such a daunting task to achieve any kind of result other than a gain, but sometimes all you need to do is stay focused and trust the process

Also, listening to your body is important when it comes to pain. Try decreasing the intensity of your workout sessions slightly until your body feels better. I had to do that with my treadmill because my feet would sometimes feel like they were being poked with nails as I ran.. not a good feeling.

So what I did is increased the incline, but decreased the overall speed. I kept my durations the same, but overtime, my feet began to feel better and I still got a good sweat going and a decent amount of calories burned in the same amount of time

At any rate, it's not a race! You'll get to where you want to be in time as long as you keep going strong like you are, MLB

AYou're doing great work buddy! Im proud of you :) Dont worry about one cheat day.. Slowly but surely tot he goal!

AHang in there, MLB. We're hitting a rough patch and we need to dig ourselves out.

Just keep coming back, and keep reminding yourself why you're doing this :).

AI really appreciate all the help you guys are giving me, it's one of the things that is helping me get through this rough patch.

I lost another 1kg this week and am down to 111.9kg (246.6 lbs). Getting really close now to double digits, that will give me a big boost in energy for the next couple of months.

Hey MLB, sorry to hear about the rough patch. But well done with the 1kg loss, and yeah double digits in sights gets exciting, you can do it mate! This forum is great in that regard with all the support you get around here. :)

AHad a great week with a big loss, lost 2kg (4.4 lbs) and I am now 109.9kg (242 lbs). only 10 kg left to get to double digits.

AYah crymlyn, I am still on the same routine, except that now on EA sports active 2 instead of medium, I am on hard now, so it adds a little more to my workouts.

Wow!

Way to go, MLB! I'm jealous!

I gotta kick it up now. I haven't seen a loss like that on my own chart in such a long time :)

Good job, man! You got me inspired to really tackle this treadmill tonight and tomorrow!

AI don't know why but only recently have I really started to feel the change from all the weight I have lost so far. my clothes were feeling loose before but now my overall feeling is a lot better.

Nice, MLB.

Maybe it has something to do with the change in weather? It happened really fast this year, almost like an instant jump from summer to winter. When things started feeling cooler in September, I think several of us hit a bit of a plateau and struggled. After letting our bodies adjust, I think we're back in stride and feeling better regarding our routines.

I'm definitely feeling more positive about my weight loss now than I was several weeks ago.

Glad you're feeling good! Keep going strong and don't lose that focus!

Athis week I only lost 0.6 kg but after last weeks 2kg loss, I'm not really complaining... so I am now down to 109.3kg (240.9 lbs).

Thanks Frogged and Crymlyn for the support, about the workouts on hard, they aren't really that much Harder they just take more time to complete, but I am only done with phase 1 of 3, so maybe I will feel it in the next 2 phases.

A loss is a loss, as we always say! You're that much closer to your goal!

Excellent job and congrats, MLB! :hurray:

ATell your friend that he won't gain any muscle (maybe strength) from EA sports active 2, he has to start going to the gym and lifting weights. Sports active 2 is good for burning fat and maybe some other stuff, but the only way to gain muscle is by resistance training.

AAfter last weeks 0.6 loss, I am back on track this week though with a 1.4 loss, so that brings me down to 107.9kg (237.8 lbs)

AHad a great week and am now down to 106kg (233.6 lbs), another 1.9kg loss. I can't believe that I am only 6kg away from getting below 100kg.

Going to take Friday and Saturday off this week to let my body rest, and than starting Sunday I am going to kick it into overdrive, and try to reach 99kg by the new year.
