Lucy's Fit Life (Contains large amounts of nut butter and coffee)

I know what you mean by plateau. For 3 days now I haven't loss a gram and it's driving me insane. Let's hope next week we will drop loads of weight.

A loss is still a loss!! Hope you see good results with your new plan!

Thanks Mystic, haha it's exactly what I'm telling myself!!! A loss even after a gain is still a loss!!!! If I lose even 200g next week the plateau will be broken. Arrrhghghgh bring on Friday!!! Lol

Good luck on breaking the plateau. Maybe shake your fist at the scale and threaten it with being your next boxing partner if it doesn't cooperate.

Haha that's actually a pretty significant threat now, I'm getting pretty strong with my boxing. Poor Ash is getting a little scared, apparently my left hook and uppercuts scare him. I have to keep telling him to stop backing away from me lol. I mainly box with Wade now though and he loves it, pushes me really hard too!

Aww I wish it was only a few days, I've been stuck at the same weight for close to 3 months now!!! It's the reason I decided to completely mix up my diet. I'm hoping next week I will see it's worked!!!!

My oven works, YAY!!! First thing I did was make pizza bases lol... then cinnamon protein bread, made some brownies for Ash (healthy ones- he doesn't know that though and he loves them) for him to take to work... So yea! Then this morning I decided I should get up and make something for my blog- way out of the habit as it's so hard doing anything without an oven! Made the YUMMIEST muffins (Atkins induction friendly) and had one before my HIIT boxing sesh with Wade. OMG, it was particularly rough today!!! Felt like smashing myself a bit so went really hard, then followed it up with my physio exercises/stretches (they're very gentle) and in the 40mins I burned 381 cals (according to my HRM), the majority of those in the first 15mins lol. Still got some strength training to do later, gunna get it done!!

I didn't do the greatest yesterday, had a bit of a shitty sleep the night before so come 6pm I was tired and seeking food (I swear it only ever happens when I'm tired!) Ate induction friendly stuff but way over quantities, grrr. I ended up on 36g net carb for the day (supposed to be 20 or below) and a few hundred cals over maintenance (calories aren't supposed to count for much in Atkins, I think last week proved that as 5 out of 7 days last week I was over 2000 cals a day, one day up to 3000). Anyway, it's never as bad low carb, I woke up feeling leaner (weird) and not bloated or awful at all- not to mention no fluid retention which is AWESOME. Made it a lot easier for myself to just keep going today, so that's what I'm gunna do! Induction only goes for less than another week and I can up my net carbs anyway... looking forward to it!

Also- 5th of June it's all happening!!! Wade and I sat down and planned our huge road trip to the other side of Aus- it's going to take us 13 days to get to our new home, and we picked accommodation for all the towns we are stopping in along the way. We've worked it out so there's only one day we drive 9 hours, and the rest of the time it's around 5-6 hours a day so we can sight-see a little and don't go mental in the car. EEEEEEE!!!!!

Food for today

B- 2 pieces leftover pizza (I use 1/2 of this bread recipe as a base- ) Decaf coffee with 1 tbsp. double cream
S- Cinnamon muffin: and a decaf coffee with 1 tbsp. double cream
L- 2 leftover sausages from last night, 1 coconut oil choc candy
S- 2 sticks of celery with 50g cream cheese and a sprinkle of cinnamon
D- Homemade protein roll with tinned crab, prosciutto, 1/2 avocado, mayo, tomato toasted in my sandwich press

Exercise- 10mins HIIT followed by 30mins physio (381cals burned), 30mins strength training

Total calories- 2077 Total deficit- 704 Net carbs- 20

Yay for the oven!!! that's awesome news - was about high time!

Your road trip sounds fun! I love road trips!! We are already planning one - we just don't have a date yet!

Finally the oven is on a roll again! 381 calories burned is excellent - high 5 on that.

Wow what a road trip you have planned, a new home is soooo exciting!

Hey guys, I'm planning to be regular around here again... Had a crazy couple of weeks, so much shit happening. Life sucks sometimes!! Been eating like a crazy person and not really thinking about it (as in, eating a lot... Haven't been stupid and started eating things I'm allergic to like gluten/grains lol) Bit scared to jump on the scales but it has to be done, might do it tomorrow. Just so I know where I'm starting from again *sigh*. Just wish life in general was a bit easier sometimes!!! Still been exercising which I think is funny, it's such a habit now it still gets done on bad days. Actually it makes me feel better too. Boxing is pretty therapeutic when there's people you can pretend you're hitting!!

Hey Lucy welcome back!!! :)
I had one bad week too (loads of food & not much exercise)
& got some great news too - yay! We are moving!!! So excited.

I look forward to seeing more of you here!

ps/ I have made the banana bread muffins - yum!!!

Was wondering where you been. Welcome back from your short absence.

Good job on the boxing exercise. Just make sure with the person you want to hit, it's only pretend. Punching someone is still against the law, even in Australia (I think). :)

Thanks for the support guys, but to be honest I don't think life will calm down for us until we get out of this shit heap town and away from several poisonous locals. Wade wants to leave right now but there's no way I'm leaving my husband here by himself until August, going to be hard enough leaving him for 2 months when Wade and I leave in June! Everything is stressful right now and a few awful people are making it a million times worse. Some people really need to just fall off the face of the planet, or at least rip their head out of their own asses long enough to realise that their actions and what they say affect people around them.

Errgh so stepped on the scales to 67.4kgs- ACK!!! Not what I wanted to see. I know at least a kg of that is fluid but still... Bit of a wake up call!! Got to stop putting myself behind and just get on with it already.

This week I'm aiming for around a 700-800cal deficit every day. It looks like I'll be ending today on 1753cals and a deficit of 737cals, so happy with that!!!!! Really want to manage a week of not going over maintenance cals. I know I can do it!! I'm still eating pretty low carb- less than 30g net carbs per day. Not because I try, that's just how I end up with the way I eat and I feel better that way to be honest. Food was all over the place today but I'll start tracking what I'm eating again tomorrow.

Welcome back! I hear you about poisonous people - they are a waste of space on this earth if you ask me. Good luck with your situation.

Well done getting back on track and you will lose that weight in no time!

Hey Lucy, I know exactly how it feels like living in a place like that. Don't worry time will pass! Hang in there.
We were supposed to stay until 2014 - just got the good news last week that we are out of here this June!!! I was literally jumping for joy!!
Good luck with tracking your food!

Seriously having trouble getting my head back in the game!!! Bad day today, ended around 1700 cals over maintenance. I know I can undo that damage in the next couple days, it's just frustrating that I let myself go backwards instead of making progress. Probably worth mentioning TOM is about due which would explain today, not the last 2-3 weeks though. Grrr. So it's in writing, here's tomorrows plan:

B- Breakfast pudding- 35g golden flax, 1 serve vanilla protein, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1 tbsp coconut oil, sweetener. 1 decaf coffee with 1 tbsp double cream
S- Leftover sausage, 1 decaf coffee with 1 tbsp double cream
L- Leftover cauliflower mash cooked into patties with 2 eggs Actual 280g snapper and salad as below without chicken
S- 2 hard boiled eggs Actual Leftover cauliflower mash
D- Salad with chicken, feta, tomato, cucumber, lettuce and homemade dressing Actual 1 serve of homemade crustless quiche

Exercise- 30mins swimming, 30mins physio

Total cals- 1676 Total deficit- 1028

Going to stick to it!!!!! Want to have 5 perfect days for the rest of the week!!!!!!!! Oh, we have a pretty good chance of being hit almost directly by a cyclone on Tue/Wed next week too, just in time for weigh in... Supposed to be somewhere between a Cat 3-5... Models for it are all over the place though so will know more in the next few days when the tropical low develops more. I WILL NOT stress eat about it!! Lol

Hey, you food is looking pretty yummy I must say!

I hope the weather won't be too bad - stay safe. We had plenty storms here today & freezing rain - I couldn't use the exit to our complex today - it was flooded! I can't wait for spring!!

I hope you can make the 5 perfect days - fingers crossed!!!

PS/ i m still all over your food blog - thinking about trying a few new things! (Your recipes are better than Maria's) :p

I can't wait till we are out of here!!! Though the place we are moving to is a tropical climate also, so they still have nasty storms too lol. I don't mind storms/rain, it's the destructive winds/ bushfires that are really bad. Oh, and flooding is an issue here as we are so far from everything... only 1 road into the town, when that floods and trucks can't use it the supermarkets run out of food. Happens a fair bit actually!!

I love Maria's recipes! Haha so thanks for saying so, means a lot!!!!!!

Just checked on the weather update, looking at a potential category 3-4 hitting the town almost directly on Tue night... it's still changing every few hours as they get a better lock on the tropical low so will probably be more accurate tomorrow (I think a cyclone is a hurricane everywhere else in the world). So the town is a little frantic right now, if it does hit us directly we could be looking at up to a week without power/water and no way for the supermarkets to be stocked as we will be flooded in... also if there's possibility of a king tide we will be evacuated as we are really close to the beach, good times. Stocked up on water and tinned food- may end up living on tuna, protein shakes and my least fave nut butters next week lol. All the mine sites are closing down and flying people home, us locals just have to knuckle down... Houses here are supposedly build to withstand category 5 systems here as we get such active cyclones seasons each year. Though in the almost 2 years we've been here only had a cat 2 hit us, and that was the first cyclone in several years to impact the town directly. We'll see what happens...

Been for my swim (298cals burned on my HRM), it's CRAZY hot outside right now. Blah. Had a shower then hung out some washing, just about died in the 5mins it took me!!! So glad for air con!!!

Anyhoo, doing really well today so far. Probably because I'm not hungry at all from yesterday! Supposed to be going out for dinner tonight for a going away thing for someone, I'm eating beforehand though as it's so late! For me anyway, 7:30pm. I normally eat dinner 4-5pm hahaha! If we ever go out for dinner we go at 6... Last time I went to a dinner that late we didn't actually get our meals till 9, so yea not going to risk it. Lunch is changing up a bit, Wade wanted to go out for lunch but changed his mind, instead he's buying me a piece of fish. So fish n salad for lunch! NOM!

Food plan for tomorrow

B- Chocolate overnight pudding- 35g golden flax meal, 1 serve choc protein, 1 tbsp coconut oil, 1 tbs unsweetened cocoa powder, 1 tbsp natvia. Decaf coffee with 1 tbsp double cream
S- 2 hard boiled eggs, decaf coffee with 1 tbsp double cream
L- 2 eggs, 1/2 avocado, 2 beef chevups, cooked in butter
S- 30g cheddar, 30g black olives
D- Roast beef and broccoli

Exercise- Day 1 of my 5 day split- leg day!

Total cals: 1594 Total deficit: 861
Deficit average for the month: 927.5

Great job on a perfect day. Once you've got the first day down you will fly through the rest. Just remind yourself why you are doing this!! You can do it!
