Lucy's Fit Life (Contains large amounts of nut butter and coffee)

Stress eating sucks. I do that lots I find. And the needing something to snack on if watching movies or TV in general. SO BAD! Luckily I have found air popped popcorn really isn't so bad on the calorie side, and I have gotten used to the taste again with no salt/butter added so it's a great snack for me :) Really should do more of the veggie sticks or fruit which I try (apples and peanut butter...YUM!) but still it's nice as a treat.

I find I use binging a bit as a form of procrastination too which is ridiculous, I still have to study even if I eat huge amounts of food before hand. Human emotions are weird.

Just got back from legs day, oh wow. I'm so wobbly, haha!! New PR on my squat!!! Did half the session just squatting- 15x 20kgs, 8x 40kgs, 3 sets of 6x 50kg, then one set of 15x 20kgs without standing all the way up (more of a squat pulse). Just felt really strong (I'm guessing from the huge amount of food yesterday, haha!) Then did 3x 15 80kg leg press (HATE doing these light at volume!! ARGH) super-set with 3x 10 of something called frog squats from 'Zuu'. I looked it up, here's a video. I did the advanced version but my squat down was much more ATG. Holy cow, I have the most destroyed quads after that. I didn't think it would be so hard after she showed me!!! Finished with Romanian deadlifts and kettlebell swings. Then I waddled home like a penguin.

Stuff to do today... Get through 2 more online classes, get at least an hour of chem study in, grocery shopping tonight.

Hey you, i need to catch up on your diary sometime. Are you studying chemistry? My husband is doing it too. He is doing a nutrition degree!! I can't believe he ate exclusively fast food when I met him!!!Now he wouldn't even touch it! ha!

Loving your exercize! I really wish i could get into it - once i m in it - it s not a chore anymore!!
My husband it putting together some military style workout this weekend - Curious & dreading it at the same time haha!

Lucy your menus are amazing. They are so detailed and the food sounds amazing!

Sometimes sore muscles feel so good. It is like you know you have something to be proud about! :hurray:

Justina- I'm doing my bachelors degree in health science (nutrition). I have a love/hate relationship with chemistry, its so interesting but there's so much to learn and remember a lot of it doesn't make much sense still!

JadeLynn- I LOVE my workouts. It's a good kind of pain for sure!!!

Todays back workout wasn't as awesome as last week, managed my new max weight deadlifting (70kg) but couldn't go up to 80kgs and after trying, could only manage the one set at 70kg and had to drop it down. Still was a good session!! My butt is killing me from yesterday, weird that's always where I feel leg day first! Legs don't normally start hurting till 2 or 3 days later.

I didn't have any yogurt left for breakfast (forgot to make some after grocery shopping last night) so I thought I'd just do what I used to with ricotta- 1/2 cup coconut milk (instead of ricotta) with an egg, cooked into that faux-oatmeal. It tasted great, however about 2 hours later (after my chiropractor appointment thankfully!) I started to feel pretty damn ill. Got home and dry reached a few times, ate a dry piece of protein toast (which helped), then napped for half an hour. Feeling better now, but after much googling apparently it's a pretty normal reaction to having coconut milk as a main focus of a dish (or on it's own!) rather than in a sauce with other solids. Won't be doing that again for a while!! Still feeling a bit bleaugh, might need to think about cooking lunch soon to get it fully sorted.

Hey you, your degree sounds great! Just like my husband! He has the same kind of relationship with Chemistry! HA! I love this degree - but since I already have one (in Business *yawn*) it's my turn to work, and his to study. He still tells me new & interesting stuff after his nutrition class! Good luck!!
I joined the gym!!!!!!!!!! Your workouts are inspiring - so my husband is putting together a routine for me at home....i just have to wait...
Chocolate breakfast cookies - I am taking them to work now - spreading the good news!!! I lost weight while eating them every day! They are SO good!

So... I'm back and hanging my head in shame. Been pretty bad with the food the last fortnight, was sick with a stomach bug for most of last week too so have done way less exercise than usual the last week also.

Way too scared to step on the scale, might brave them in a week when some of this fluid is gone. It's not going to be pretty.

Not beating myself up anymore, I'm not going to let myself feel guilty. Tomorrow will be a clean slate. Regardless of what I am when I weigh in I'm aiming for 68kgs by the start of Feb, I have a friend coming to visit then and would like to be slightly smaller than I was last time I was home. So that's my goal for now- all I'm going to focus on. Trying not to think about how far I have to go afterward.

This weeks goal is to eat 2000cals (or less) every day and exercise every day. That's it!

Good for you! That is a great attitude and what we all need to do. Feeling guilty gets you nowhere, and often hurts your motivation to keep going. Put the past behind you and make today better than yesterday.

You really shouldn't beat yourself up, because with the amount of boxing you've done you could do some real damage.

Seriously, welcome back and good luck keeping the calories low this week.

You are doing fantastic and being sick always throws a person off their game. Once you feel better I know you'll be right back where you want to be! Great job on all the working out too! I need to get back on that train!
