Lucy's Fit Life (Contains large amounts of nut butter and coffee)

Survived the boredom of work haha. I'm so tired though and my back is pretty achey from the chiropractor still, much worse because I sat down all day. What a loooong day of work!! Ended up doing more shopping today as it was so dead at work, got jewelry to match my outfit too now haha. All I need now is a clutch and I'm good to go! Pretty happy with my outfit for this wedding. Probably the only chance I'll get to wear the dress I bought too, it only just fits and I didn't go down a size as I only just couldn't get the zipper up over my boobs. So yea, it'll be too big probably right after I wear it (hoping it won't be too big on the day lol). I'll just make sure I take lots of photos.

Food plan for tomorrow

S (pre workout) Choc protein muffin
B Hot cereal with ricotta, egg, strawberries and macadamia butter
S 2 hard boiled eggs
L Another awesome wrap- homemade coconut flour wrap with guacamole, chicken, cheese, tomato, alfalfa sprouts, cucumber, spinach
S Mini babybel cheese
D 140g chicken in lemongrass sauce, broccoli and cauliflower

Total calories 1651

Exercise 20mins walking to the gym and back, 30mins PT (chest day... at 6am. Yuck), 20mins walking to work and back (working 9-5:30 tomorrow)

Seing results during weight loss is fun....but so expensive with the clothes....I have been going to thrifts shops lately to buy clothes since I don't want to spend too much on something that I don't plan to wear that long!!! I hate it when something doesn't fit just cause of the boobs....I hate shoping for tops just cause of that!

I hate shopping for jeans/pants/skirts cuz of my belly :( And the shirts...same reasoning, hate the belly and how it looks. Can't wait until it's gone! :D

With the dress, you could see about getting it altered later so it fits again? But on the bright side at least everything else you bought you can still wear/use afterwards, even if you don't wear the dress again :) And let's face it, not being able to wear something that fit you 2 weeks ago because it is now too big is a great problem to have right now!

Is there anything like a lumbar pillow or other type of device that can be a little easier on your back while you're sitting?

I'm so fortunate to be mostly healthy at this point. My weight cost me my gallbladder but in terms of permanent problems that seems to be about it right now.

Argh it drives me nuts, I have slim hips/waist compared to my chest so I'm in between sizes- I wear a lot of AU size 10, but sometimes something just won't go up at the top on my back like this dress. It's already kind of loose on my waist, I was pretty hesitant to buy it so far away from this wedding but it's so perfect for the look I was going for I just decided to go for it. I knew I wouldn't be able to lose the whole extra inch in a few weeks that I'd need to just squeeze into the size smaller, would rather have a 'flowy' look going than overstuffed sausage haha!! Here's the dress I'm wearing: It's not super cream/white in real life, it's actually very vibrant pinks and greens. Wearing it with a gorgeous little cream blazer (which I got in a 10 so that'll keep fitting me afterward at least!!)

It's always one body part that decides to hang on to everything longer than the rest of you! It gets pretty frustrating as being in-between sizes makes shopping frustrating sometimes. I HATE shopping for jeans/pants/shorts anyway because my thighs are the other part of my body that likes to hang on to everything- I can make myself look deceptively slim wearing dresses (which I pretty much wear every day, even skirts at work) but as soon as I wear trackpants or jeans there's just no hiding!! For real though, I love my clothes getting too big haha!!

I might have to get a support pillow, at home our couch still hasn't arrived (we called them yesterday after waiting for 2 weeks and their supplier is out of stock, no ETA. ARGH!) so if I'm at home I'm either sitting up in bed, on a plastic chair or on one of our crappy dining chairs. At work I'm in a really crappy swivel chair. I don't usually get back pain though so I was really surprised when the chiro said that, I get a lot of knee/hip problems when my hips are out but nothing else, and that all started from tripping on a walk a couple of years ago (just me being unlucky and unco). It's all related though, think my hips being out for so long has started screwing with my back. I was just sore and sooky yesterday because I usually feel like I've been hit by a car after being adjusted. Feeling much better today!!

Gym was pretty horrid this morning, chest day today and I usually find that as rough as legs day. I have crazy bad DOMS this week too, I think just because I had to have that 4 days off- a lot of my lifts have gone up this week but I'm super sore now, I'd say even as bad as my first week with the trainer again. I can feel every single muscle I've worked in the last few days right now lol. Didn't help that I had to wake up so early, had gym at 6 and can't even sleep in tomorrow as I have to go back to the chiropractor at 8am and it's a bit of a drive to get there. I have gym after that when I get home too at 9:30. Because we are seeing a movie tonight I won't be going to bed that early either... *sigh*. Just hanging out for Sunday!!!! Pretty sure that will also be 1 month with the trainer complete which is cool, looking forward to taking progress pics.

Well I'm going to post tomorrows food plan now, I work till 5:30, movie at 7pm so not long after I get home and have dinner, then probably won't be home till around 9:30 and I'll be ready to sleep by then!!

Food plan for tomorrow

B 100g bacon, 2 eggs, grilled tomato in a bit of butter
S (post workout) Choc protein muffin
L Salad made from homemade Mexican chicken meatballs, spinach, tomato, capsicum, cucumber, sprouts, cheddar, guacamole (I want to bathe in this stuff)
S 2 babybel minis, homemade almond milk choc ice-cream
D Leftover chicken with cauliflower and broccoli

Total calories 1650

Exercise 20min walk to the gym and back, 30mins PT (shoulders and arms day)

That is a really pretty dress! And I think it would look great as a flowy dress too. If it gets too loose around the waist you could get a belt and use it to cinch it in just a bit (I hate belts with dresses but some like it).

I had one for a bit, but found I only went to the gym when seeing her, and too expensive to keep it going and I was ALWAYS self conscious so ended up not renewing the membership once my sessions were done.

Sounds like the trainer is going well for you! Yay :)

Thanks icy!! I think its fine a bit flowy at the waist, its still fitted around my bust so it doesn't look baggy or anything.

I love having a PT, I actually got my fitness certification a few years ago and had a PT then too for well over a year. I like someone pushing me and having a spotter too so I can lift heavier without worrying too much about my personal safety lol. They can get a bit expensive but I figure I'm investing in my body and health and to me its worth it rather than spending that same amount on clothes or something else I don't really need. I train with her 4x a week and usually go in an extra day for cardio or I go for a bike ride which is awesome being so close to the water!!

Just got back from the chiropractor, I only have the slightest curve in my spine but it's not really scoliosis.... It's more because my neck and pelvis are screwed. My neck is curving the wrong way which he said would have been caused by an old whiplash injury (I was in a car accident with my husband like 6 years ago) and one of my hips are sitting a whole cm higher than the other. So had them realigned again, then my session was over. Going back on the 9th Oct to get some stretches and exercises to do to help, will probably have to keep going back for my hips though as when they're out my knees get really bad. Oh well, it could have been a lot worse I guess.

Got gym soon, then I'll be showering and heading out with Ash to get him a suit. I really want to sleeeeeeep, had such an awesome sleep last night but could have kept sleeping when my alarm went off this morning!! Hopefully will have a big sleep in tomorrow.

Thanks Vero, me too!!

Well guys, weigh in tomorrow and my first month of PT is over! So measurements and progress pics too, woohoo!! Hoping to see 69.6kgs or less on the scale, we shall see though as it's been a pretty slow process this month. Maybe the whoosh fairy will pay me a visit! *fingers crossed* I stuck to my calorie average this week, aimed for 1900 and ended the week on 1889 so I'm happy with that! Also couldn't have worked any harder in the gym so no regrets.

This month I'm going to pay closer attention to my macros, have definitely had my carbs/fibre creep up to more than where they should be but protein even more so (I DON'T need 150g protein a day, no matter how good it tastes!!) So this month I'm going a little more keto-ish. Going to aim for 65% fat, 10% carb and 25% protein. This week I'll be going with a 1900 cal average again, even if I've lost weight I'll be needing it this week as tomorrow will be my only day off exercise. I'm doing cardio on Mon then I have PT 5 days straight as I'm going away the week after and doing 3 sessions that week- didn't want to miss any training days so I just moved the whole of the next week back a bit. So this will be an exhausting week and I'll need the energy for sure!!

To help with the extra fat needs I made an awesome fatty snack- made a baked cheesecake recipe into 12 mini cheesecakes in patty pans. I used this recipe: and used erythritol to sweeten it. Smells really good, hope they get really firm in the fridge overnight. I'll be keeping them in the freezer too.

Food plan for tomorrow

B Hot cereal with 1/2 cup ricotta, egg, blueberries and ABC spread
S Homemade protein gingerbread with a tsp of butter
L Homemade coconut flour wrap with curried egg and salad
S Homemade almond milk peanut butter ice-cream
D 1/4 homemade pizza (base= almond meal, psyllium husks and eggs, toppings = garlic cream cheese with spinach, fresh tomato, onion, bacon, capsicum, mozzarella)

Total calories 1858 F64% C10% P23%

Exercise Absolutely none. My only rest day for the whole week, got to enjoy it as much as I can!

Well guys, another disappointing weigh in... 69.9kgs. So I only lost 100g once again... GRRR!!! At least it finally has a 6 in front of it!! I went back and had a look at my food for last week, way too much protein every day and half the days were almost double the fibre I want. So going to make sure to keep fibre grams below 30 and protein at a much lower level, also going to cut the fruit out this week. Lets see if this helps me get this weight down a little faster!! Aaand if I have another pitiful loss this week... I'll be changing things in my diet more dramatically. I'll go a week without anything with erythritol in it and only use stevia (so none of my yummy baked goods unless they're savoury!) I've had a deficit of at least 4000cals at the end of each week so it has to be something I'm eating that's stalling me.

Measurements did go down and there is a noticeable change in pics, I just know it can happen faster than it is. Aiming for 68kgs in 4 weeks, so 500g a week. Lets go!

Food plan for tomorrow

S (pre-workout) Protein gingerbread
B 2 eggs, 100g bacon, grilled tomato all cooked in a bit of butter
S 2 hard boiled eggs
L Wrap with guacamole, cheese, chicken and salad
S Homemade cheesecake cup
D Leftover 1/4 pizza

Total calories 1882 F61% C10% P26%

Exercise 40min bike ride and the 20min walk to work and back (I work 9-5 tomorrow)

Ain't even gunna lie. Today was a bit of a food fail! Ate 3600 cals. I'll be able to break even again by tomorrow but it's going to be a rough week getting my 1900 cal average! Though it can be done, I've worked out a food plan for the week which I should be able to stick to. Added up and got the average of my deficit too, should be well over 600cals. Hopefully I'll lose a half kg! Sick of only losing a couple hundred grams or less!

No excuse for all the food today either, I was studying and food worked out as a good way to procrastinate. Also waaay behind on the study from all the procrastinating, my head just wasn't in it at ALL today. Argh. This week was just so busy and I know next week will be too, I have PT 5 days, work 3 days, 2 classes, an exam plus my 2 other online units and a rent inspection to clean for on Thu. I also have an assignment due the week we go away so will have to get that done possibly on Sunday next week. All I want to do is sleeeep.

Back from this mornings bike ride!! Todays stats on my HRM:

Duration 52:53
HR avg 141bpm
HR max 168bpm
Calories 397

Went a bit further than I normally do because it was such a nice morning!! Didn't eat before I left though, I was so insanely full so I just went. Ate both my pre-workout and my breakfast when I got back.

Husband starts back at work today, was so nice having him at home for so long! Guess it was going to end sometime. Guess I should be glad he has a job after all the drama with it when he got here!! I'm working today too anyway so it really isn't going to affect me much, he'll be home just after me.

I'll put tomorrows food plan in, if I come back later it'll be to check out other peoples journals.

Food plan for tomorrow

S (pre workout) Strawberry protein muffin
B 2 eggs grilled in butter, 1/2 avocado
L (before uni) Salad with 2 chicken meatballs, cheese, tomato, cucumber, spinach, guacamole
S (after uni) Homemade peanut butter almond milk ice-cream
D Leftover 1/4 pizza

Total calories 1666 F65%, C10%, P23%

Exercise 20mins walk to the gym and back, 30mins PT (leg day... got 2 of these this week, urgh. Doing next weeks one on Saturday!), 20mins walk to uni and back

Good job on the bike ride. From the heart rate numbers it looks like your did a nice job pushing yourself (or just had to deal with a lot of hills).

I haven't been on a regular bicycle (been on exercise bikes) since last year's theft, and having dropped so much weight, I wonder how much the experience would change. With the weather now getting nice, maybe it's time to buy another one.

Weather getting nice? Tis getting cold for winter! I haven't had a bike in years, and haven't been on one in longer...but maybe next summer I will look into that. Think my work is a little too far to bike to but maybe...

Lucy: Good job on the eating and workouts! Sucks about hubby going back to work, but it's a good thing right?

On a side note...what HRM do you use?

Hi Lucy , just checking in :)

Hiya Cloudy!! :seeya: Hopefully will get the chance to drop in on your journal today too, didn't get to anyone at all yesterday!

MrVee I ride along a path that goes all the way along the water, it's awesome!! There's a few long steep bridges I have to ride over and a few slow rising hills, mainly I just like going a bit faster than a casual pace. I don't even notice how hard I've pushed myself until I have to hop off my bike to go over a bit of a gravel path (they're doing a heap of roadworks at the part I turn in to get on the beach path) and my legs fight me to walk haha.

I LOVE riding my bike compared to a stationary one in the gym- sure, in the gym I can bump up the intensity and can burn the same amount in a smaller period of time, but it's nowhere near as enjoyable! Weather here has been amazing too, it's gotten up to 34C a few days (and it's only spring!) The mornings are still nice and cool though!

The food looks good as usuall
and the work out wow

Thanks Vero! I love my bike rides!!

Icy- haha it's just warming up here in Aus! Had a few hot days already actually, the mornings are sooo gorgeous though (I get up and go at 6am).

I got a bike 3 years ago when I was living near the Perth CBD and going to Tafe but didn't want to take the train... I hadn't ridden a bike since I was probably 10 or 11 and just decided to get one and go for it!! Made me wonder why I ever stopped riding a bike (well, probably when I was younger it would've been the whole having to wear a helmet thing which doesn't bother me at all anymore). Got the new bike a few weeks ago and again it's been a couple of years since I've been on one, loving it again. They're so much fun!!

This is the HRM I have: I got the flowlink cable too, makes my life easier. You just plug the cable into your computer, rest the HRM on it face down and it uploads all the data to your computer. I had a FT7 before that () which was pretty good too, it stopped working on me after about 6 months though as I think I got it a bit too wet a few times. Oops. That one was pretty good too, but the new one has way more features.

I was playing around with Fitday and decided to set my goal to be reached by the end of March- instead of going by weeks I'll be going month to month, so because this month ends on a Thu I'm going to move my weigh ins for this month starting next week... will give me time to recover from my shitty eating on Sunday lol. Gives me a few extra days every month too- aiming for 2kgs a month which should be achievable if I can figure out what is causing me to stall. Hoping the increase in fat/ decrease in protein will work for me. I really should cut back on the erythritol a bit, have some ideas of how to do that over the next couple of weeks.

Well... on for today. I have gym soon (I woke up soooooo early this morning, like 5:30. Yuck. Don't have PT till 7:30) Then I have uni smack bang in the middle of the day at 11:30-2:30, it's just a revision session for this test we have to do this week. So will spend the evening and probably tomorrow studying until I'm brave enough to just do it lol. Going out for lunch with Wade tomorrow, also have to clean for a rent inspection on Thurs... Turning out to be a busy little week. Can't wait to fly home next week, my sister is having her baby this Thursday (if she hasn't had it before then, she's booked in to be induced on Thu) so I'll be an auntie! Can't wait for baby cuddles!! And to see my family. It doesn't feel like that long since I've seen them but only because this year is going so fast, I haven't seen them since May so that's about 5 months.

Anyhoo... will be back later to post tomorrows food.
