Ha! your posts are so funny! I thought of doing slim fast (again) too. I lost a good 10 pds once on slim fast, maybe that will be the kick i need to help me get going!

Ah, thanks for the warning about Greek food. I've only had it once or twice and I've never had a "Greek food expert" to guide me through the menu. Only ate the salad and spinach pie.

Mental note: For figure's sake, avoid Greek food, especially that sauce that starts with t and has a z in the middle! ;)

Glad you are back on track! (And hopefully, back on the roads!)

Monday,..new week,..finally feels like back to normal routine,..I have my slim fast....OK BACK ON TRACK. I did manange to lose 1.5 lbs. so things are not going as badly as I thought.

1/2 plain yogurt
1 piece whole grain toast
green tea...yep I joined you all on this one....its certainly not coffee :(

made it to the gym again..lots of water....ya baybee...back on my way again!!!!!!!

glass of red wine with hubby in evening.

You're doing awesome Jennifer. What kind of slim fast are you drinking? I used to like the Chocolate Royal, but it's kind of pricey.
 
fuunkymonk..dont think I could even try the vanilla s/f, yuck!!

Yep the chocolate royal for me too....for me slim fast works because I find if I eat in the morning....i am hungry all day long,..and I know that skipping breaky is not good...so I use the slim fast....and after a week of using it ...I dont have the same hunger or cravings...I find the more I eliminate from my diet, the less cravings I have,...and can stick to the salads/veggies/fruit and low fat protien,..ie chicken breast as they seem like treats compared to drinking a meal.
I usually only have it for breakfast, unless I know I am going out for dinner and want to be extra careful that day and save a few calories....weekends I find it useful as I cook big breakies and lunches for the family this helps me avoid the calories. It maybe expensive,..but I figure it is about equal to the cost of the meals you eat...if not better.

Hey Jennifer, sounds like you did pretty good considering the celebration. It's so hard to turn down treats in situations like that. And sushi isn't bad at all. Ever notice that most Japanese people are super skinny? Yeah, it's because of the sushi! I loooove veggie sushi. The good thing about it is that it's healthy and it's filling. And tasty! Anyway, happy birthday to your daughter! You're doing great!

I am wanting protien and salty things today.....feeling like picking and snacking....that time of month...I am putting it down to that. I think I will go do something useful like rearrange the garage to keep myself busy,...ok maybe not...clean the toaster sounds easier.

Hey Jenn, one cookie isn't too bad. I mean, you definitely have to control it, but look how awesome you did for the rest of the day!
 
Jen good for you for eating only one cookie, you should be patting yourself on the back! Your entitled to a cookie once in a while!
 
I have to agree, one cookie is not to bad. If it was me I probably would have ate two or more. You know you have to taste a couple, just to make sure! lol. Anyway you are doing soo great you need to indulge once in a while. You go girl!!
 
Oh thanks ladies...Newbride knows of my inbalance of "right and wrong" in dieting...I am a bit of a binger....and well my thought procress has been if I cant control it then it has to go completely,...thus when I eat one...I really feel like I am falling back into my old habits...one didnt hurt so lets eat the whole batch.

i hear ya! I think that was my issue when I did slim-fast, I got tired of drinking my meals. Its great though to loose some weight fast.

Snow then ice storm last night.
The van is covered in a sheet of 1/2 inch ice (I mean the entire van!!!!!),..our cul de sac is a sheet of ice,....thus will not be venturing out to the gym. Didnt go yeterday either as we had family day of rmy oldest birthday. I know its the gym that really helps me in loosing the weight....but I will still keep pluggin at it, until this crazy weather settles down. Food wise I am ok,...but to honest before I really didnt eat much more except for snacking at night, I am just really wanting to get going again..

I had an epiphany last night as I tucked my youngest two kids into bed,..Their weights are 35 and 45 lbs. I have lost 40lbs,...so basically I have lost the size of one of them and have the other one still to loose. I am loosing as much as my youngest two weigh off of my body. It finally hit me what I am doing here,...size wise,..and I am imaging if I had to carry these two around all the time....what a physical burden it would be. Not sure what emotion this is evoking....none the less it it motivating me to keep going!!
