Pain Free day today :D

Breakfast
1/2 grapefruit
1 piece whole wheat toast
green tea
water

I was up until 4 am last night,...painting a tree in my basement. Why do you ask? OK lemme tell you,.... we recently moved to this house and I am preparing the bottom floor for a licensed family day care...Any-hooo,...we had this supporting beam in the middle of the basement and I had this bright idea to finish it like a column and turn it into a tree, and call it Apple Tree Daycare. Fairly simple idea, ...oh, and then I thought, how about a cute lil table around the base of the tree for the kids to read and have a quiet place to sit. How cute, right? Yeah,..ok, by the time I factor in the time to dry walling a curved structure, oh and the plastering, dont forget the sanding, the faux painting I have done (did the branches on the overhead beam and ceiling last night) I havent even got to how I am going to make a table around the tree, many idea brewing though......I think this tree has taken longer than the rest of the basement. However, I absolutley love it!!!!!!!!!! Husband came downstairs this morning , (and he is not one to show great excitement), said "Cool, I really really really like it, good job honey". Finally, finally I get my flooring this weekend,....and do all the finishing touches over the next week or two and I am in business!!!!! Y00000000-hooooo. ( This was all weight loss related right) *lol*

Lunch
Big ole bowl of vegatable soup....I was surpised to learn for the large bowl that I have its only 200 cal...(has a lil bit of pasta in it) very filling....much nicer than slim fast,..and keeps everything working properly
water

Snack
mini chocolate chip muffin (homemade)

Dinner
2 pieces of veggie pizza
water
red wine

lil opps today...but I think I am still under 1300

Yes it was weight loss related because I'm sure burned lots of calories as you were working till 4 in the morning and just think the faster you're in business the sooner you'll be chasing lots of kids around and again think of all those calories

Do you?.....so do I,..I love to decorate, (perhaps in another life I will be a designer for trading places,..ok, think higher and bigger Jenn) :D . This house is brand spanking new so my hubby band me from all paint brushes :( .....So when the basemnt was done he said go for it,....I think I have let every creative outlet free on the basement,...when its all said and done I will post a pic. Its coming together nicely. Creativity keeps you out of the fridge,..so again a diet related post!

I can't wait to see the picture of the your apple tree basement. :)
It is all weight loss related! Especially since you burned some mega calories doing all that work. You rock!
Glad you are feeling better!

Thank you ladies,......Ah yes I have tried the one stoke painting ...did some glass plates one year....it very beautiful if done well. I am more of a big project girl...ie "big trees"...several gazillion strokes :) . As we speak my floor is goin in. Also since the basement will be done,...the snow is gone, everything working in the tummy, (cant think of any other excuses) its back to the gym regularly. I am missing it,...what I love most is NOBODY calls me "mommy" every 2 minutes, the phone doesnt ring, I dont have to mend anything, cook anything, clean anything, resolve world issues (she took my doll, where is my hair brush) for a whole hour and a half :)

The tree sounds like it'll be really cool! I'm sure the kids will love it!! Definitley burnt some calories doing that!!

Oh my god, you only have 8 pounds left! I'm so happy for you and incredibly jealous!!! congratulations, you can definitely do it!

Ha oh how I wish only had 8 left to my goal... but its 8 pounds till I am half way there....I have four goals of 25..., but for me this weight loss is going to be a life long thing to keep it off....I think back to when I started and really ...it has been pretty painless,...and the payoff has been so rewarding and I love coming her to vent, laugh and read other peoples journals.

Well cooked a big family brunch today and had a nice visit with the ladies while the men worked on the floor

ummmmmm lemme see food wise
lil bit of this and that....and probably too many calories...I have decided this weekend was a diet write off,..needed a diet break, but all the same didnt go crazy, but probably no weight loss.

Going to the gym...yeah me. Floor is finished.........I LOVE IT

Wow,..i did loss 1.5 lbs this week...probably due to illness. I went to the gym last night....it was harder than before but I can get back to where I was quickly and actually it felt great...a good sweat cleanses you mentally and physically. So before I found out I have hypothyroidism and could not lose an an ounce I actually entertained the thought of by-pass surgeory,...but as of today my BMI is too LOW ( BMI under 35) ...I no longer qualify...ha ha ha. NOt that I would do it,...but its nice to know that I am "too small" for it now. Just one of things to make you smile. I am actually winning this battle,...and I think alot of it has to do with being here and being able to talk freely about weight issues etc,...

Breakfast
cherrios
low fat soy milk....(apple good tip but dont much care for the taste,...perhaps its one of those things you have to get used to)
water
small cup of coffee (trying to ween myself)

Lunch
vegatable soup
water

Ok where did I read that you should work out on an empty stomach and then eat after you work out...I guess everything is NOT for everyone....felt a lil "lah-lah" after the work out...think I will have dinner before I go

Dinner
garden salad...
one meat ball and sauce
1/3 cup rice
apple

Today was a good day...I feel back with it

That's really great Jen. I totaly get were your comming from with the too small for bypass thing!! I think my big thing will be when i'm too small for the "clothes for the larger woman" stores!!

Soy milk does take a bit of getting used to especially if you have it with cereal and stuff. I've used it for so long now that i think cows milk tastes weird on cereal and in tea etc!! Might not be as noticeable in your slim fast shake (i always disliked the flavor of those anyway!!)

You can get vanilla flavored ones, but i don't think they are as good calorie wise.
