Thanks for those encouraging words ladies, you are all so gracious. I am really beginning to see and feel the weight loss. Went to get new glasses today...and the person fitting me for glasses said "these frames look nice with your high cheek bones"..I thought "what cheek bones?" I forgot I had cheek bones! Also while at mall a woman shopping in the mall came over to me to compliment me on how nicely my outfit was "put together". I have no idea of her motive, I am assuming just an act of kindness, but it really made me smile inside. I havent had a compliment like that from a stranger in ages!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Thanks ladies,.. New bride, I do take a muli vit and a calcium supplement (its like a lil chewy chocolate, yum, when I remember) ...and my slim fast is taken with milk...that should be enough calcium?....Right? On the fit day website I seem to get be getting my RDA through food alone (with exception of iron) but I figure that the multi vit will compensate for what I miss. Please advise if you think there is room for improvement. Thanks

Compliments? whats that? I think I got a few of those in high school, and maybe once or twice while dating, but not again since i got married. Good for you Jennifer, I'm glad you are starting to feel the weight loss...that must feel great!!! I'm glad to see you ate some yogurt the other day!

...today is my birthday!!!!!
A few couples are going out and I dont know where (like how do I dress for that) ...I will wear an evening gown and we will end up bowling!!!! HAHAHA
So needless to say the rest of the food diary will say naughty, empty calories, and way too delicious until the 26th. So I wont be writing anything down. The goal is not to gain. Leaving for parents early in the AM so no internet...so everyone......

My birthday was lots of fun...five couples went to a comedy club, then out for dinner, and then went out dancing...home late and left early to go to my parents for x-mas. It was a lovely weekend, my two oldest kids still at grandmas for the week. I indulged, had a few shortbread, chocolates, sausage for breakfast (skipped the waffles and syrup). Turkey dinner was so yummy...oh ya had a few drinks, blah blah. I said to myself enjoy, relax, (calming the fear that the diet was all over)...home tonight feeling hungry. However no goodies in our house, I am glad, I want to get right back to the diet, the gym as New Years feels like a fresh start. Weigh in day tomorrow. Gonna read a few extra pounds but that will just make me work harder at the gym this week.

Hoping everyone is feeling ambitious for the New year...we have a few days to get that motivation going!!!!!!!
 
Glad to hear you had a great time Jennifer! Don't let gaining a few pds over the holiday put a cramp in your diet, your doing great and I know you will continue to!
 
Thanks so much new bride....Down a lil on the scale 1.3lb.,..however I did check my weight on my birthday and I was down about 3lbs from last weigh in so I did put two back on today...but your right, I wont let it cramp my style. I saw some pics of me at Christmas,...and I actually didnt cringe with horror!!!!

UGH! I wish i could look at a pic of me without absolute horror. A weight loss is a loss and good for you!! You've gotta keep at it, you are a wonderful "role model" to alot of us!! I did have a great time at Christmas Jennifer, thanks for asking! We got 18 inches of snow!!

Ok its the only excuse I can think of.

You're doing great Jen! I'm really proud of you, my weight hasn't started to shift yet but it can't be too far away.

With the my oldest two kids away I am not really cooking...I need New years to be over (also my 12th anniversary) get back on schedule and back to the gym. Got my contacts today...however have far too much planning and cooking and cleaning for our party tomorrow night! Running around all night with like a chicken with their head cut off worth about 500 calories.....Dont ya think?

Glass of red wine...yep going to be real glad when all the festivities are over...

Jennifer, you sound like your doing a terrific job! Don't get discouraged, its a hard time of year to be dieting! My diet starts tommorrow, so now I can start walking the walk not just talking the talk!! Keep up the good work Jen, your my inspiration!
 
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE.....
Even though I said this was the day I totally get back into it...even though I am not "out" of it...I mean get the gym thing and the mental motivation going again. However we go to get my kids today (which means further socailizing with friends and family)...I miss my kids sooooooo much,...,my lil one keeps asking for her sisters. I phoned my girls last night, they were having a New Years party with all their cousins at grandmas, all I got was a "Hiya mom, happy anniversary, Happy New year...we love you ...byeeeeeeee" before the phone clunked down. Yep they are having fun.

So I did get on the scale this am even though its not official weigh in day and I was down the few pounds I gained over Christmas, maybe a bit more...So I guess I am being better than I thought,..I guess its the no gym thing that is on my mind. Next week no excuses,..so get on my case if you dont see me writing down "went to gym" in my journal...and I mean it...get on my case!!!!
