Hello BeeG

Don't despair - but the first thing you need to do is throw away the caramello koala - unwrap it first and wipe it on the inside of your bin - that way you won't be tempted to retrieve it later ... (which may be the case if in its wrapper!) :)

Would a piece of Extra chewing gum help - or a quick walk outside?

You'll be fine - picture the new you to help you focus ... :)

Kind regards

Taffy

Thanks,
I threw it in the public bin out side the office so now unless I want to look like a total pig I cant retrieve. I think it must be TOM feeling teary chewing my little heart away. I think I need to get up and move around abit.
Thanks Taffy...I knew someone would know to not let me eat it :)

well done beeG.....i'm proud of you!
I would have suggested just imagining how far you have already come and where you are heading...how amazing you are for caring for yourself so much and how much better you already feel and look. but you had already got rid of it .....hope your day gets better for you

Hello All,

I have to admit that I fell off the wagon and it was a terrible fall... I hope i am not going to be reprimanded by all in here.. i am feeling bad enough... I am going back on the wagon today and I am sure I can... I am sure some of you would start to scold me.. i know its for my own good... Dun worry i am going to be back on the program today and going to lose the extra kgs that I gained over the last few days... Please give me some encouragement....

hey babyegg.

put it behind you. you have done it, beat yourself up and know where you should be. so smile :) and be excited that it only lasted as long as it did. could have been worse, at least you didnt abandon us all together. lol.

take care and focus on the home stretch. i am so envious that you are on that home stretch. the past is the past. it is today that we can change.

Lose on friend.

Hi there Taffy

Hey thank you so much for putting me onto were the before and after photos are, you are right!, its very inspirational!, was wondering did anyone or has anyone experienced loose saggy skin from the dramatic weightloss?? and after u get through the inital hard period (week or so) does the low energy and detox feeling disappear? thanks so much again for the awesomely fast reply! ange x

i too fell off the wagon babyegg and could just slap myself silly for it. i went away for the weekend and made bad choices. am frantically chewing gum to keep the nibbles at bay and now have terrible wind pains.

bluegum - i am simply repeating what everyone else said - good luck and please do let us know how you get on. my father had terrible reoccuring kidney stones and an ultrasound quite high showed a shadow around the bottom of his heart. he had an aneurism (sp?) on his aorta that was about to burst and he would have died instantly. he is happy and healthy and has never had a kidney stone since. you will be just fine and we are all pulling for you. take care.

is wind pains not necessarily associated with wind a common side effect on this program?

Hi everyone!! Welcome to the newbies and WOW there's so many close to the RF. How exciting and inspiring!

I had my 13th Wedding Anniversary yesterday. We usually go out to a fancy restaraunt and splurge (read the left hand side of the menu instead of the right!! We decided to wait until after refeed and have a delayed celebration including a nice bottle of red, MMMMMMMMMM!

Had my 12 week weigh in today. I was 70.9kg this am at home and 72.2kg on clinic scales. I'll go by mine!! I go back in two weeks as I can order my refeed at 69kg. WOOHOOOO!

Just want to add a big thankyou to those who have done or are doing RF. I must admit, I am a little worried about regaining the weight. Your posts are very reassuring.

When people ask for info on what I am doing, I give them this forum as it's a real people doing real life thing. Very inspiring. Thanks everyone!

hello Hot Mama, I am new to Cohens and just joined the forum last night. NOt sure of what I am doing as yet on here. Your starting weight is the same as mine and I started 5 days ago and have lost 3.5 is this on a par with your weight loss? Would like to know what is an average expected weight loss.

Also how do you get the ticker to the forum page?

hey carina
if you just click on someone elses ticker, i think you can create your own from there. it takes you to the website.
then you go to your forum profile and update you signature from memory. just copy and paste the url from the ticker website once you have finished.

anyone correct me if i am wrong??!!

hopethis helps.

Hey Fatcat and Carina! I am 173cm tall and I started Cohens on 24/11/07. I have averaged about 6kg loss each 4weeks. That is with a few naughty foods along the way (only a little bit!) Your mind starts to wonder how much you could have lost with zero deviations, but I won't go there, I am proud of what I have achieved. This is the best program out there!

Have a happy Cohen's Day!

About the Chai - sorry I've been off-line and missed my chance earlier to put in my bit! Nerada make really yummy organic chai teabags (although they are a bit hard to find). The ingredients are black tea, ginger, cinnamon, cardomon, cloves. I think in small amounts these are all ok for us to cook with (correct me if I'm wrong), in which cas I think the tea's probably OK too. Maybe some brands have other stuff that's not OK. Someone mentioned vanilla, which were not supposed to have.
Anyway chai is a yummy treat if you like it so it would be worth finding out for sure. I drank it while on the program and still reached goal weight with an average of 1.5kg per week loss.

Hey everyone!!!

Looking for some support and guidance. I fell of the wagon today. Well, it actually started yesterday, after days of restaurant and social eating because of Valentines and Memorial Weekend. I finally couldn't stand it and had about 3 cups of popcorn (not the healthy kind). I stayed on course for the rest of the day. Then again today, I made dinner and it looked soooo good. I had 2 bowls, then an ice cream. I don't know why, but all of a sudden I'm starving more than usual. This is really upsetting me because the last time I did Cohen's I only lasted two weeks and then it took me three months to muster the strength to go back. Now, I've hit my two weeks and I'm up to my same old habits. It seems like after two weeks, I'm starving. Like I see most people post about how the first few days are the toughest. I'm the opposite, easy start, two weeks in I am soo hungry I could eat a horse. Coincidentally, as I think back to the last time I quit, it was right around that time of the month when I got really hungry. I don't want to go back to my old eating habits. I want to continue doing Cohen's.

I see everyone doing so well, I am so jealous of those who have iron willpower. LOL. If there are any of you who have fallen off the wagon previously and were able to get back on and keep going, any words of wisdom would really help.

Thanks!!!

Thanks heyfatty... yes I am happy that I realised the BIG mistake and going to make sure I have the next few month deviation free... so that I can complete the program fast enough...
Jayce, thanks for that encouragement... I am going to lose the few kgs that I put on the past few days and than last few kgs and hopefully go into refeed soon...I guess it would take me a few months.... Lets work hard!!!! JIAYOU!!!!
