Before and after -125lbs... from 300lbs - > 175lbs.

yah, losing weight feels great but right now Im feeling colder than ever...

It really does suck when its single digits outside and you do not have as much body fat as you did before.. lol.... Im feeling cold all the time :(

OMG, me too!! My mother is always teasing me about no longer having any natural 'insulation'. I was like.."I have enough mom, trust me." But I'm still cold! I wear five layers to bed alone.

It's crazy when the windchill is -30. I really, really need to reconsider my living standards. Maybe I'll consider college in a warm state. Like...Florida or Cali.

Is today a mess in the 'Burgh or what? It took me an hour and a half to get downtown from West Mifflin. Why don't they cancel work like they used to cancel school when I was little?

Some current recent Pics here... I guess ill use this thread as a Diary. Mods feel free to move this thread to WL Diary if you can....

Well for the first time in a really long time I will finally be able to go swimming this summer. I think that was one of my biggest fears as being overweight. Having to take my shirt off and go swimming and having everyone look at me in discust. Im at 172lbs consistantly which is great. I put on 2lbs of muscle mass in the past 3 weeks. This is just from doing more weights than I normally have.

I have went from 5 miles running per day to 3.5 miles per day but really quick miles. Normally takes me a good 22-23 minutes to run that. After I have been doing nothing but crunches/abdominal exercises, plyometrix and high weight low reps in alot of leg exercise machines..

Overall from going to my original size to the size I am now everything is different. My overall life is just entirely different. I feel like when you are massively overweight people treat you entirely different, people who are obese are treated as irrespondible. I see so many people from highschool they dont even recognize me its pretty funny. People ask me how I did it how I lost all this weight I tell all of them the same thing Diet combined with exercise 1.25 gallons of water etc... same response "thats boring, that takes to long blah blah."

To be honest I went into this just trying to keep the puck out of the net lol. I am a goalie if I did not mention that before. I will hopefully be transfering to the university of pittsburgh next semester where I am hoping to be able to play d1 hockey... Hoping. But well see.

Hey man,

I know we've crossed paths in other threads before, never really got a chance to just tell you how great you look. That's just amazing and I can't really add anything that's "original" other than congrats.

Out of curiosity, how tall are you? Seems we have similar stats (starting weight/goal weight). I too am having self-issues with the loose skin, and was just wondering, yours does not look bad at ALL from the last picture. Has it been tightening up since you originally posted your concerns about it? Are you using cocoa butter?

Again, congrats, I hope to be able to slap my before / afters up real soon just like you have. Things are still a mess at 188.

haha so you see why people ask about if I have aids lol?

I am 5'11 but Im down to 172-173ish consistantly....

I had alot of lose skin when I initially got down to 170 range... but ever since I have been trying to work my stomach and back muscle... basicly doing alot of crunches and others... Dead Lifts really help..... it seems like if you put on some muscle mass and do alot more cardio your skin will form better... then again I am 22yo.

I am 5'11" myself, and only 28, so there is hope for me yet! Nah, you don't look like you have aids, more like just a fit runner. I swear, people say the dumbest shit. I am slightly bigger in the chest than you, so I might have a few extra pounds of muscle there. I think I might try to get down to 170 still, and see how my skin reacts.

My goal is to look fairly decent for the beach by fourth of july weekend. Maybe, 3 more months for the remaining 15-18 lbs (I figure at 6 lbs a month I lose), then 2-3 more months for skin to bounce back some. I've been using coccoa butter... they say it works.

oh your 28! I think youll be okay then... the way that worked for me is to lose the weight then try to build the muscle...

Best of luck to you!

Thanks bro... I've been working my muscles while losing the weight, obviously nothing enough to gain muscle mass but to at least maintain the lean muscle mass I currently have. That is why this is taking me so long (so far, 15 months...)

Oh Man this is something awesome, would like if you could share your experience and eoutine

I went in at the beginning eating 1500 calories per day consisting of vegtables, salad, chicken.... alot of protein I cut all the fat out of my diet I was very very very strict when it came to snacking. I drank 1-1.25 gallons of water per day.

at first I hit the olitptical for 30 mins a day and slowly moved to running from 2 miles per day then to 3 then to 5 miles per day.

its posts like this that make it just as exciting for us at the beginning as it is gonna be at the end!!

thanks heaps mate

thanks!
Damn, in only one year, that's insane good! Well done, that's really inspiring!

thanks again!

Holy crap, you look absolutely awesome! It's just amazing what you've done with yourself, hon. I'm proud of you. You really do look outstanding.

It's great to hear that you're not only consistant at the same weight, but have also gained muscle. Which, btw, I can totally tell. You're pretty ripped there, my friend.

I can honestly imagine how different you feel from then to now. I bet you feel like a completely different person. It's as if now, after all your weight loss, you can just laugh out loud at nothing but the thought of being alive.

We really do feel like different people, and I can tell you for certain, I couldn't imagine being the size I was four years ago at this point in my life. I can't fathom it, to be honest with you, it hurts my cranium too much to think about.

Great job!! You look amazing. Congratulations, hon!!

thanks alot for the input I really appreciate it.

Man, I can definitely tell a difference from your original post to your updates. Much more muscular! I'm glad to hear about not having big problems with loose skin after doing some weight training, that's something that has always worried me.
