Someone asked me if I lost weight today, and I got a little flustered and said no, but I had been working out more. Not sure why that was my reaction? Anyways, this is the 2nd person to notice haha so that was nice.

Honestly, this process is a little like watching grass grow, and I can't really see any changes myself yet, hopefully I will in a few more weeks.
 
:) At some point the grass needs mowing and you´ll know it´s grown. Until then: try to distract yourself.
 
Love to hear you're getting some positive comments; just another thing you can add to your motivation tools. Hope you get plenty more :)
 
Hi Julie. I used to be embarrassed when someone asked me if I had lost weight I think because I felt shame at how big I had been. I just wanted to hide away, lose the weight & come back slim. If you smile & say "a little" most people don't continue on. It is a slog at times but is worth it. You can do this hon, xo C

That's a good suggestion Cate, and I can relate to feeling that way... it's almost like well if you notice me now you definitely noticed me before.

Food: 1250ish
Breakfast: Half bagel with tofu cream cheese

Lunch :Vegetable chow fun

Dinner: Vegetable chow fun

Exercise: 50 min elliptical, 475 cal.
I was pretty slow today just felt drained but glad I finished!
Think I was tired/ lack of healthier food. Made some tofu scramble for tomorrow :)
 
I think you did great. Elliptical is hard and you did it for 50 min (good to recognise all our wins and you won today)
Get a great sleep and start fresh tomorrow. :)

Yesterday was a great day, blitzed my previous speed on the elliptical at the gym, 504/ 48 min, 570 in 58 total. Averaged 10.5 cal per minute. I think when I started a couple months ago I was at 9. When I was in pretty good shape a few years ago, I was able to 13.5, so I know I can continue to improve!

Food:
B: mall bowl of broccoli, tofu, tomato sauce

L: brown rice, kale, lettuce , guacomole, tofu, beans
Popsicle

D: same

D: a very delicious sandwich: cheeze, "ham", lettuce, earth b, mustard

I really wanted another but I resisted. Usually I'm more full after dinner. If I keep being hungry, I might up my calories to 1400 ish per day.

Exercise: 50 min elliptical (450/45)

Haven't seen any change on scale, it even went up slightly but I really don't care at all- I know I'm doing everything right. Just waitin' it out :)
 
Mmm. Italian ice. I haven't had one of those in forever. They're so good! Don't worry about the scale. It will catch up eventually! :)

Yesterday ate about 1550, and today ate 1500 with no exercise to speak of. I'm not upset exactly but going forward I do need to do better on weekends- they have been a stumbling block for me in the past.

I took my measurements yesterday (waist etc) so I am going to start monitoring that, maybe monthly.

Also, I have a mini checkup at the end of august to check my cholesterol and a few other things, kind of excited to see if there is improvement from last year.
 
Whew this week has not been good so far eating/ exercise wise. Actually pretty terrible. Woke up Monday so stressed about work...and ate continuously then till now due to stress. No exercise. I need to get a handle on work stress because it is about to get pretty bad with a lot of late nights and long days til december.

Tomorrow I will regroup!

This past week was pretty bad food and exercise wise :(. Ate wayyyy past being full. I can see/ feel the extra fat I've gained. I am not going to weigh in for the next 2 weeks because I think it will be demotivating but as of now I am back on track.
 
Being back on track is the main thing. Everyone gets derailed, but the main thing is to keep moving forward xoxo
 
agreed. I get derailed sometimes for weeks on end, but always get back on. The big thing for me is to never say "I'll start Monday". As soon as I realize I'm derailed, I start back up instantly.
