A new start for MommyOf2!!

Hey buddy sorry to hear things are so crazy. I love Pampered Chef parties although I always spend way too much money. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you're weekend stays quiet and you're able to relax. (((hugs)))

MO2 Hope you have a great Friday and good weekend... Not sure on the brand of diapers though. ;) My nephew is now 7, getting so old!! Lol.

Hi all!
The Pampered Chef party was great! I love that stuff. I got bday presents for BOTH of my sisters whose bdays are in March and April. Yay! I ate the salad which was weight watchers approved (and yummy) and I tasted the chocolate cake. Aside from some strawberries (plain), that's all I ate! I was quite proud, considering that my frustration could've had me pigging out. I have to say, you all help motivate me at times like that and, as always, I'm grateful for the moral support.

HH - you are so funny! They always do pregnancy tests on me before procedures. When I had my foot operated on, they did one: I didn't have the heart to tell them that we hadn't managed to figure out HOW to "do it" with my foot in a cast. (We tried, it was just too awkward!) So it'd been 8 months!!!! But I let them do the test nonetheless. I don't know why I think that's so funny now. lol!

I know, I know. I need to do something abt. birth control. My husband and I are not ready to do anything permanent even though we are certain we don't want more children. I don't want to go on the pill for many reasons: weight gain, I've read that it can permanently change a woman's sex drive, etc. I'm considering an IUD. My OB/GYN says that most female docs use that as their B/C of choice. Right now, I'm counting the days, but my luck could run out one of these days, you know?

The cleaning crew is working as I type. Please let them remove the odor!!!!!

Thanks for checking in on me!!

hey MO2!

May I ask why yall dont wanna go for permanent on the kids thing? Im just wondering, because for me it's the best route! No more worries, and that alone makes it worth it. Then again, I have four kids, and am already mentally preparing for being a grandma. The only thing that grossed me out was the smell of my own body being cauterized when they burned shut the tubes. That was disconcerting! That, and it was done right after they took my youngest out, so it wasnt anything 'extra'. Dont answer if it is too personal. I was just wondering.

Hey M02, I just wanted to tell you I can relate to the b/c issue! I have major reservations about going on the pill, because of some health issues I had about 2 yrs ago (they thought I had a stroke! OMG and I was only 25!). Anyhow.. so myself and FH are really unsure of that, plus weight gain etc. Not exactly fun! I have heard really good things about IUDs though. I would strongly suggest looking into that when you're ready to make a decision. :) Personally we are on the "counting" method right now too. And if it hapens, it happens.. They always say you're never really ready anyhow! :)

Oh do let us know how the cleaning crew did! :) Reminds me, I need to shampoo my living room carpets, but my shampooer broke..aagh, maybe I ought to hire someone to come into our house! lol! Good luck!! :D

Yeah, I tried counting the days too. That's how we got the third one! I apparently wasn't too good at counting! That was back when my TOM wasn't regular.

That part about not figuring out how with your foot in cast is funny! :D I may not have a cast on, but I know how you feel!

If you can't bring yourself to do something permanent for you, try to talk your hubby into looking into him doing something. My hubby had it done and it wasn't as bad as for women. It is an out-patient procedure instead of actual surgery, and he was fine by the next day.

It will definitely be my husband who does it if and when we do something. I've done enough in the reproduction department for this family!! (Not that he wasn't wonderful about it all!) I don't know why we just can't seem to bring ourselves to go the permanent route. I'm sure if we had more than just 2. *sigh* I have this feeling that I might freak out as I get closer to 40 and decide I want one more. I'd say there's 20% chance. Someone promise to remind me how much I hate those sleep issues in the early months!

OK - HH - your counting days story gave me the shivers!!!!! I'm calling about the IUD on Tuesday first thing!!

Regarding the odor, it's gone, gone, gone!! And our sofa has never looked so clean - ever! Quite exciting. Now if I could just keep my daughters from making forts out of the cushions until they're completely dry, we'll be in business. LOL!

***************
Food today was good! No exercise, but I never exercise on Fri. Tomorrow I'm hitting my Cycle Class and I'm running on the treadmill. Can't wait!

B: Kashi Go Lean; 1.5 C. coffee; .5 C. skim milk; 1 tbsp. creamer
L: Turkey sandwich on whole wheat w/ dijon mustard and lettuce; baked ruffles; diet coke (bad, I know)
Sn: 2 hershey kisses
D: 1/2 chicken pizza; unsweetened tea.

I'll probably have a bowl of cheerios before going to bed.

I completely know what you mean. If there is any chance at all that you might want another later, don't do anything permanent. There are times when I want another baby so bad I can't stand it. Last March I got a dog, since I couldn't have a baby. I think it is just knowing that I can't have any more or something, even though that sounds weird. I mean, we have three, I don't need anymore! Well, I guess techically I could have another one! Lol! :D

Congratulations on getting the vomit smell out of your furniture!

Hey there! Just wanted to check in on ya! Funny you was talking about preg. tests.. I had to have one the other day for the pre-op.. and remind ya that I've been dealing with infertility for 8 years now.. I thought that was crazy! Anyway just wanted to let ya know I am thinking of ya! Have a great weekend!

Hi MO2! Just poppin in real quick :) Have a great weekend and keep up all the good work :D

Hi all! Just b ack from a great work-out at the gym. Fun! I didn't get to run prior to my cycle class as I'd planned. I didn't manage to get out of here in time. Oh well! My class was excellent.

HH - I so don't want to feel that way - that I want another baby so bad. I know if I had a third I'd feel obligated to have a fourht and with my luck I'd have twins. Aren't they more common in women over 35? Ugh!

Chris- great hearing from ya! A good friend dealt with infert. after having no problem conceiving her son. She tried to conceive for 6 or 7 years, gave up, decided to buy a big fancy house since she could work f/t and got pregnant 2 mos. later. So amazing! She's thrilled, but sad that she can't afford to work p/t or stay home. I was the opposite. I had trouble ttc #1 and none w/ #2.

I got my tubes tied at the same time I delivered my third baby. My doctor didn't want me to do it because I was 30, and he thought I might change my mind. But I was sure, three babies (and three C-sections) was my limit.

I have never really regretted it, but I wouldn't recommend for anyone who even remotely thinks they may want another child. And yes, watch that counting the days thing -- just like HH's story -- that is exactly how my third child came to be. But what a blessing she is!! :) Funny thing is, before I ever had children, I was told I had less than a 50-50 chance of ever getting pregnant , then ended up getting a tubal so I would stop getting pregnant. lol. Life is funny sometimes.

Glad to hear the cleaning crew did the trick with the odor situation! You are doing great. Keep up the great work!! :)

Hi all! Here's my food for yesterday ...

B: kashi cereal w/ skim milk; coffee w/ skim milk and 1 tbsp. creamer
L: Turkey sandwich on whole wheat w/ lettuce and mustard; baked ruffles; 1/2 apple; cookie (bad, I know)
D: Caesar salad; 2 slices mushroom and proscuitto pizza.

Not great, but I avoided a lot of temptations. We got a sitter and had a nice date last night. I saw Brokeback Mtn. What a great movie! Very sad. OK - I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

You know what? I still have that Kashi cereal that I bought when we were on the "green team" together! :D I keep forgetting it is in there for some reason. Everytime I see what you had for breakfast, I think about it and then forget it is in there again for some reason.

I'm glad you got to have a date night. It has been so long since we had one. And what are you talking about? Your food for yesterday wasn't bad!

I want to see the movie too. Also your food sounds scrumptious. I wish I could get my H to go on a date! We need to for sure! But not until I get out of my slump. Im stagnated.:(

I have been meaning to tell you something for a long time, but I just seem to keep forgetting. Man, I have such a bad short-term memory! When I first signed up for this forum, I used Mommy of 3! Isn't that ironic? Then I thought that I shouldn't since it wasn't a weight loss related name (don't know why I thought that), so I registered with this name and never activated the other. That would have been so funny if I had used it! :D

hi MO2 :) I agree w/ HH - what do ya mean? Your food wasn't bad at all. Glad you got to have a date night. You deserve a break :) Hope your weekend went well. Keep up the great work :D

Hey M02 just checkin in on ya teammate! Honestly your food looked fine! :) Unless you ate that pizza all by yourself, I think you're ok!! :D

Glad you were able to have a nice date night out. Hmm.. FH and I haven't done that in a long time. And uhm we have no kids, nothing to really stop us. huh.. ;)
