A new start for MommyOf2!!

Hi all! Thanks for the kind words.
HH - or should I say MO3?? I just wasn't feeling particularly creative when I chose that name. I guess it says so much to explain why I can and can't do certain things. We definitely connected during that first challenge over all our daughters, didn't we? weird that we were thinking so much alike, though.
Yes- our date was awesome! Last night we put the girls to bed early and watch "Walk The Line" - wow! What a great movie!!!!! I highly recommend. I have to say - it made me a bit amorous - much to my hubby's delight (blush!)

OK , so here's the food for yesterday ...

B: two poached eggs w/ 2 corn tortillas; coffee w/ skim milk
Sn: 1/2 lo cal p/b sandwich on wheat w/ pretzals and 2 slices apple; diet coke
L: 1 fish taco and a smoothie w/ fat burner boost
D: Spinach ravioli; diet root beer; 1/2 birthday cookie (we had to get rid of them from last week's party!!)

What? No Kashi cereal? :)

I think it is even more weird that I chose a name almost the same as yours and we joined around the exact same time and then were put together for the first challenge. It must have been meant to be! :D Although, if I had kept that name, it might have gotten a little confusing! :p

Spicy, spicy! whoo hoo! A date with the hubby. I've been wanting to see that movie. Sounds like a good one.

You working on becoming a MO3? hehe. Sounds like you "might" want another, how cute! Are twins really more common in women over 35? I just read that somewhere in here.

Hope you are having a good day today! I'll be back to check on you later.

I've heard that the movie is good, but you are the first to recommend it for an amorous touch! Will have to check it out when it comes out on DVD.

Oh yes, Scrappy! It had quite an effect on me. You'll see if you watch the movie. We did rent it - but our video store gets things a bit early. (I hope they're legal!) But I seem to be the typical woman in my 30's in that I'm a bit insatiable these days. (Blushing again!)

And, yes, JB, twins get increasingly more likely each year after age 35. It happened to a friend of mine on her 3rd (which became 3rd and 4th). It was quite a shock - no twins on either side of their family. It's incentive enough not to have a 3rd - lol!

HH - I agree - that would've been weird and they probably wouldn't have put us in the same challenge group if we'd had such similar names which would've meant that we wouldn't have had such a great start to our beautiful cyber friendship!!!

OK - here's my food today:

B: Kashi cereal; coffee w/ skim milk & 2 tsp. creamer.
L: 1/3 cup tuna w/ a bit of mayo; 11 quakes; apple
Sn: 6 oz. milk w/ protein additive
Sn: 2 clementines
D: Turkey meatballs (baked) w/ angel hair pasta; diet root beer

Oh - at the park, I took 2 smallish bites of my daughter's Pop Tart. Wasn't worth it at all!

Exercise - I didn't make it to the gym, but I did go for a looooong walk w/ my girls. 4 y.o. on her bike (she's fast!) w/ me chasing her w/ 2 y.o. in her toy car that I was pushing. I was out of breath several times and ran for a lot of it. I should've gone to the gym, but my girls needed some focused attention. I'm back on track tomorrow - I plan to run for 30 min. and do 1 hr. of step and sculpt which I haven't been back to since my hernia. I'm a bit nervous!!! I have been scared of the abs. I hope my tummy makes it!! Wish me luck.

Mornin' MO2 :D Hmmmmm Maybe I'll try that movie out with hubby.... hehehehe He'd probably look at me and ask what in the world I wanted! LOL
Glad you enjoyed your date - those are few and far between here

Keep up the great work. I'll try to pop in again after work tonight :D

Morning M02! I hoep you've had a good day today.. :) sounds like you go tplenty of exercise chasing after the kids today. Its great you got some mommy & girls time, how sweet! :) I am sure they appreciated it!!

Good morning everyone! Happy Tuesday - I'll post more later. Now I'm off to the gym, followed by the park, followed by naps at home, followed by my book group tonight. What a day!

sounds to me like you got a heckuva workout with the kids! Let us know how the step and sculpt went. Never heard of that, and it sounds tough! Can u give more info>?

 I guess it is a good thing I didn't keep Mommy of 3 then! We had a wonderful group on that challenge, and I am very glad we were all in it together. Have you noticed if NCBride and Jesslyn have still been around lately or did we lose them after that challenge?

Glad the kids are doing better. Hope you had a good day! :D

P.S. I see the Kashi is back!

Hi all!
Well, I made it to the gym and had a GREAT workout!! I ran on the treadmill (only had time for .6 mile), though. It took me for-friggin-ever to get my girls out the door. I did an hour of Step and Sculpt. Skinny Kate - Step and Sculpt is weights, exercise ball, step, bands. We do squats, biceps, abs, thighs, etc. It's tough. She gets out heart rate up and keeps it up while we're doing the different exercises. It's a good class. I prefer the faster paced serious cardio work-outs, but I know that this is good for me.

The good news is that I weighed myself and I'm down 3 lbs. to 161. I'm not changing my signature yet, but it sure was fun being soooooo close to 160!!

Food for today ...

B: The usual
Sn: Golden Grahams (bad, I know!!)
L: 1/2 Cup tuna w/ a tiny bit of mayo; 11 quakes; apple; 6 oz. milk w/ protein additive.

For dinner, I plan on turkey meatballs w/ a bit of angel hair pasta. After I'm going to my book group. I don't know what temptations there will be, but I'll save a few calories just in case.

Don't you just love it when it takes so much longer than it should to get the kids out the door in the morning? I just love the "but Mom, I can't find my shoes." "Well, where did you put them when you took them off last night?" "Right here, but now they are not there anymore." or "I don't know." Kids! But we love them, so I guess we gotta keep them, huh?

Your food is looking really good, even with the golden grahams. (I need to remember to look at your diary in the mornings so maybe I will remember that I have some kashi cereal in the stupid cabinet! I don't know why I keep forgetting that!) Your exercise is looking great too! :D Congratulations on the three pounds!

Please forgive me if I'm not able to get around to a lot of journals today. I have a sick dog. My poor baby! She didn't eat her brkfst. which worried us. When I returned home, I called her, she collapsed, and urinated as she finally stood up. I'm so worried! I have an app't at the vet and a sitter coming to stay w/ the girls. I don't know if I'm going to be able to get all 90 lb. of her into the car. I'm so worried! My husband is beside himself at work worrying abt. her. She's our baby and she's only 7.5 years old. I just can't imagine how sick she must be.

I'll keep you all posted! Sorry to go so off topic w/ my dog!!!
