A new start for MommyOf2!!

Oh that's quite a story! How ccute that they shared a crib, though. Very sweet. My friend has twins and they share a room ,but not a crib anymore.

I have to say, though, my husband was so lame through the middle of the night fiasco. He's usually really great, though. Has never been of much use in the middle of the night. I called him out of bed to 'help'. I asked him to strip her and check her over from head to toe for vomit while I strip the bed, start the luandry and re-do the bed. When I'm finally finished w/ all that, he's back to sleep w/ her on his chest. I pick her up and her hair is caked w/ puke and it's scattered here and there on her jammies. HELLOOOO?????? Oh well. Can't complain. He's a great husband and a great dad. momentary lapse.

LOL!! OMG, That is hilarous. I'm sorry. :D but it is really funny. Because my future-hubby Sid would completely do that! He is just not easy to wake up and if I got him to assist with something similar in the middle of the night, he'd probably taken care of teh child like your hubby did, back to sleep! :) but lol.. yeah it would of been nice to have the crusty vomit taken off of her and the jammies too. Alas.. can't have it all! :D

Hope the wee little one is feeling better today and that last night wasn't a repeat for you at all!

good mornin' MO2 :) Hope the little one was better for you last night and feeling like her "usual" self. The boys have only been sleeping in their own beds for 5 years. They still share a room - don't separate them or you'll have a war of the whines on your hands! LOL

LOL Your hubbys "momentary lapse" is my hubbys CONSTANT! hehhehe Night time is never his best time - go figure! :D

Hope you have a great day. Keep up the good work :)

afraid Id have to say that when it comes to puke, my H is one of those that also pukes if he sees it hears it smells it etc...oh brother! So I dont even bother asking for late night help on that one. Us Moms...up to our elbows in puke and poo, and why do we do it? well for love of course, but mostly because so many husband's just...wont. It's why I so admire us females. NOT some rich powerful man, but spit up on, pooped on, vomit cleaning mommies! WE make the world go round, yep! (kudos to those men who do this too!!! I know yall are out there:D)

/rant off :D

Is it me, or can I not seem to catch a break? The baby is much better although has a tiny bit of recurring diarrhea. Thanks for the kind words and sympathy! So this a.m. i go through my regular Wednesday routine: we drop my 4 y.o. off early at preschool, arrive at the gym on the early side, so I took the 2 y.o. to the vending machine to buy her a pop tart and purchase an extra kidwatch card to kill time. I was in my FAVORITE class: Kickboxing, and they call me out. It's the preschool - my daughter has wood chip stuck in her hand I need to come immediately. I didn't even get through the warm-up. I had to take the 2y.o. to my parents' house, get the 4 y.0., drive to the doc, wait 90 minutes, for a NOTHING procedure. I easily could've done it. The school totally overreacted, but I should've just tried to take care of it. Grr! Then I had to get gas - was running on fumes - had to drop by the school to get the most prized Hello Kitty doll (aren't I nice??), picked up the 2 y.o., and decided we should all go out for lunch. I just couldn't bring myself to then come home and cook. Bad news? I ate waaaaaay too much including potato chips. It was a moment of weakness. I'm disappointed in myself, but geez - the whole thing just stunk.

OK - no more pity party. I'm just going to disregard this day. I'm going to try to make it back to the gym this afternoon if I can find someone to watch the girls.

Well, even though I don't want to take away from us all-wonderful mommies, I must admit that my hubby does get up to help clean up. I usually ask him to do the bedding while I clean off the kid (the kid seems to have less on him! lol). Isn't he wonderful?

So sorry to hear how things have been going for you MO2. (Sorry, but that is just start to stick!) I hope everything gets better soon.

What a day girlfriend! Geez, it stressed me out just reading it. haha. You are a super mom for real! I would have eaten what I wanted too after having to rip and run like crazy all day. You probably burned it off anyway. Go supermommyof2! hehe

OK - it didn't stop there! 4 y.o. started projectile vomiting right before dinner. Yikes! I guess we definitely have been hit w/a bug. Hubby did an outstanding job of cleaning her up and then lay in bed w/ both girls while I spent more than an hours cleaning and cleaning and cleaning. Ugh! I'm not feeling so bad abt. missing my KB class today!!! WHAT NEXT????? I shouldn't even ask.

So my weight loss support network has turned into life support. Thanks everyone!!!!!

I hope tomorrow brings better things for you. Sounds like you could use a good nights sleep as well.. Hope the little ones get better soon! Im praying for ya....you deserve a cheat day after all that....hehe...but stay strong...you sound like a wonderful mommy!

Whoah! I know I shouldn't be laughing, but I can just imagine your poor baby getting sick as you are just getting ready for dinner after the day you had. The look on your face must have been priceless. Hubby came in with an outstanding performance. Good for him. You poor thing, both of you! My goodness, you really do have a bug at your house. I really hope tomorrow is a better day and the puking stops. I couldnt even imagine having a day like that. Nope, couldn't do it. You are a very strong woman! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. hehe

Good Morning!!

Bravo to you for surviving yesterday! :( You gu ys truly have gotten wacked with some little flu bug! So sorry. I certainly hope that things have improved today. Congrats on your hubby being such good help. Now I will also keep my fingers crossed that neither of you catch this stinker of a bug! :(

Also.. dont' fret over missing the gym, you can burn a heck of a lot of calories cleaning house!!!

Good luck.. We're all thinking of you today..hoping it is much smoother! :)

Sorry to hear that your daughter is not feeling well. Seems to be that time of year. Hope she feels better soon, and that everyone else stays clear of the bug! :)

Oh goodness gracious what a day you had. My personal opinion you survived it like a trooper :) Don't worry about the KB Class that couldn't be helped and as far as the chips you more than deserved them. We'll be your life support anytime.

OK - morning after and we're all still standing. Hubby and I have been a tad bit crabby though. LOL! We just kept shaking our heads in disbelief over the day we had.

Now our problem is getting rid of the smell of vomit. It is overwhelming even after I scrubbed w/ cleanser, hot water, and a scrub brush. I ordered a cleaning service to steam clean the sofa, chair and carpet vicinity. I hope that helps!

I just can't believe the week I've had! Fri - work catastrophe keeping me there till 8:30 p.m.; Sat - bday party for 38 people; Mon night/Tues a.m. - round 1 projectile vomitting; Wed a.m. - wood chip fiasco; Wed p.m. - Round 2 projectile vomitting.

Is it me, or does this seem like a lot for one family to get through?? We have no plans this weekend. Here's hoping that things stay calm - and that no one else gets sick!!!

Thanks everyone for the support - I hope to get back to the business of losing these last 19 lbs.

MO2, girl you'll be back on track in no time. You really are surviving well. I know it seems like a lot..but to me that's just typical family stuff! :) Of course.. I am a wee bit accustomed to that, I helped my sister run her in-home day-care for four years, 12 small children all 5 and under! So having kids vomit on me, pee on me, run through their diapers with dairrhea.. old hat! :D And somehow I don't have any of my own still. lol. but I have 10 beautiful nieces and nephews! I live vicarously through my sisters! :) So be happy you only have two at once.. lol not 12!!! :D

And I'll give you a story that might comfort you too.. My sister years ago when my nephew was only a few months old, asked me to attend a friend's wedding because her husband had to work. So I was delighted to come and help her out with my sweet baby nephew. I was quite the "mother hen" and loved kids. So I held him a majority of the time, so my sister could socialize, as I didn't know these people. At the reception, my poor nephew had an accident and had diarrhea run, straight through all his clothes, all over my dress!!! A sheer, light lavender dress! I was a bit taken back by this.. and my sister didn't want to leave!!! She went and re-dress my nephew, and proceed to inform me to try and rinse it off in the ladies room. Which I managed to remove a majority of it.. but I mean c'mon!! But no..we proceed to stay, much to my horror. I continued to hold my wee little nephew.. who then proceeded after this instant to pee through his diaper all over my dress.. We then decided it was time to depart the reception!!! :) But still.. I love the little bugger..

MO2 I am so sorry you and your family got dumped on by this "bug" :( That really sucks. You dealt with it like a pro, though and I wouldn't worry about having eaten chips and such since you have been so good the rest of the time and most certainly burned it. Keeping my fingers crossed for you that the bug moves on quickly. Try to have a good night :)

New Leaf - what kind of diapers were those?? I will know to avoid! LOL

Well, it's a new day and here's what food looks like:

B: 1.5 c. coffee w/ .5 c. skim milk; 2 tsp. creamer; kashi go lean cereal
L: 2 Tbsp. white rice; vegies and meat (beef); pocket biscuit
Sn: Smoothie (n/f yogurt, strawberrires, banana, OJ)
D: 2 enchiladas; 1/2 c. rice; iced tea (unsweetened)

Bad news .... after dinner I'm going to a Pampered Chef's party. I'm really going to try to control myself, though.

No exercise and only 32 oz. water so far.

I'm just feeling so funky. Partly, I am just starting my period. I always feel like crap the first day: emotional, edgy, tired, crampy. I'm grateful to not be pregnant, but feeling yucky. LOL! (I know - go on b/c - everyone keeps telling me!!!) I will at some point.

Thanks everyone, for stopping by!

Have fun tonight at the party. After putting up with the sick kids, you deserve to have a night out.

I'm with you on the diapers. Avoid that kind. Although I think that sometimes you have accidents with any diapers you use!

Ok, now this may be a little personal, but in the same sentence you say you are grateful not to be pregnant but then that you need to go on b/c? Ummm... do you know what happens when you are not on b/c? Lol! :D

Which reminds me of a story from when I was in the hospital after I broke my leg. When I was waiting to be taken in for the surgery, the nurse asked me if I was pregnant. I said no. She asked if I had been sterilized. I said no. She said that they were probably going to have to do a pregnancy test because they usually do on women who could possibly be pregnant. I was in a lot of pain at the time, hadn't had any pain med for a while and was annoyed that I was still waiting for surgery. I said "Lady, there isn't much of a possibility that I am pregnant." She said why not? I said because my hubby had a vasectomy. She said "oh, why didn't you say so?" I said "because you didn't ask!"

I hope you get to relax this weekend! I'm sure the vomit smell will subside, that is rather potent though. Poor thing. The cleaning by the pros should take care of it. I hope your family gets healthy real quick.

How did the pampered chef go?

Hi MO2 :) Hope you enjoyed the party. You deserved it. Hope today goes well for you and all are feeling better (and that it doesn't strike again). Keep up the good work :)
