A new start for MommyOf2!!

Oooh, I tried those meatballs. Thank you SO much. They were delicious. :) The only thing I did slightly differently was instead of using bread crumbs, I used Stove Top herb stuffing. I took it and ground it down really finley (crumbs) and mixed that in. It gave it a nice lil herby taste! My FH LOVED them. Ooh I could of kept eating them too! I'm going to have to share this with a friend of mine I think. Thanks again! :D

Hi MO2 hope all is okay with you and yours and you're kickin' butt :D

Good Morning! :) Hope to see you online soon, welcome to Team Conquest! :) Glad to have you in our bandwagon! ;)

Hi all!
I'm so glad that the meatballs are a hit. Yippee! I love trying new recipes, too. Especially, healthy ones. I read a diet book that was based on the premise that you had to cook a lot of healthy, but tasty recipes in order to get thin and entirely change your eating habits. Interesting premise.

So I don't even want to talk abt. my weekend!! The girls' party was a huge success. 38 people in my back yard. Yikes! Both girls got quality time w/ their favorite friends. My hubby and I got time w/ our friends. It was nice! The food was tooooo good. I had it catered: enchiladas, rice, beans, homemade salsa, and guacamole. Oh! And we had a Hello Kitty theme and the caterer made individual cookies that she hand painted with icing. Two for each girl with their age and Hello Kity cookies for all the guests. It was cute! Everyone at the party announced that they'd never do cake again for a bday party. It was funny. We had no candles to blow out, but considering it was 86 degrees out, that's probably a good thing!
So ... I have nothing to report that is good abt. my weekend with regards to weight loss, but it's a new week and I'm back on track. Exercise will be tricky this week since I am big-time trolling around for a new job (long story and pertains to my late hours at work on Fri.) I'll keep you posted!

Your party sounds so cute! I am glad it went so well, and you had such a nice time. I love birthday parties for the little ones. My oldest daughter is turning 12 this month, and she is thinking of having a sleepover. But-- she doesnt want us to plan activities or anything. They just want to talk, and draw, and listen to music while they do their nails! Sigh....at least I still have one little one left that likes themes and party favors! :)

I don't know what I am going to do for the kids' parties yet. I need to hurry up and figure that one out since the oldest's birthday is Wednesday! We always let them pick what we are having for dinner on their birthday (this isn't going to work much longer since the 10 year old and the three year old share the same birthday!), so we are going to have brisket for the 13 year old's birthday and kind of for a valentine's dinner combined. We were planning to have pool parties. There is a place here with an indoor pool, but they have never called me back to schedule that! Since I can't get around to do much, we may just do like last year and find a place to go out to eat in the middle of all of them to celebrate and maybe let them have one or two kids over (the older ones anyway :) ).

Hi all!!
HH - all those FEb. bdays are amazing! I mentioned the combo party. It worked out really well. Jenna played w/ one friend the whole time and Lia played w/ her two friends the whole time. The rest were there because we love their parents!
Fluff - sleepovers????? Nails??? And you say that's 8 years away? Oh man. I'm not going to be ready.

So I seem to be back on track.
B: Kashi go-lean w/ skim milk; 2 cups coffee w/ 1/2 cup skim milk; 1 tbsp. creamer
Sn: Apple
L: 1 1/2 tangerine; 1/2 cup tuna w/ mayo; quakes; pretzals; skim milk

Exercise: Ran (yes RAN) 2 miles and walked one mile on the treadmill. It felt great!

Water is right on track - I've had around 64 oz. so far.

Maybe sooner! My daughter is turning 10 and she always talks about having a sleepover. When she stays over at her best friend's house, they do nails, makeovers, and all kinds of stuff.

Sounds like all had a great time , My 10 soon to be 11 tomorrow year old all she wanted was to have her and her friends go watch a movie this weekend so we took them all out to eat and then to the movies this weekend . But she dont know I am going to tke them all bowling and to lazer tag this weekend coming. I think I like your way better then having cake .

Lol! I love these stories of kiddy birthday parties. :) My niece turns 11 tomorrow and she's got plans this weekend and her mom to have her three best friends from school over. Her mom is takin them bowling and then to applebees for dinner. I think they will spend the night too. She's done tons of sleepovers, but she also was raised with an in-home daycare so..thats a whole other world. :)

OK - I finished off the day well. I had sloppy joe's w/ turkey meat on wheat buns and unsweetened iced tea.

I'm looking forward to another good day tomorrow! Thanks to everyone for stopping in!

Happy heart day!!! :D Hope you get to enjoy it with your honey ;) Keep up the great work - ummmm hide Barbie today ;) hehehehe

Looks like no exercise today for me. *sob* My 2 yr. old woke us up at 1 a.m. having vomited all over her bed. I thought maybe it was just an upset stomach, but this a.m. she filled a diaper w/ diarrhea so it looks like a tummy virus has invaded our house. Great! Funny thing is, she's usually the one who catches all the colds and my 4 yr. old is the one who catches the tummy stuff. I guess the rest of us are doomed. It's just a matter of time.

Oh, don't you just love it when that happens! That is one thing that makes me glad that two of mine are getting older. They usually make it to the bathroom on time. No more surprises in the bed!

Oh no! I am so sorry your little one is sick. I hope she feels better soon! Hope no one else gets it. Just keep everyone washing their hands.

I remember one time I was running late to pick up my son from school, and my little one was sick at home. She was sleeping upstairs, and I picked her up so I could carry her to the car. As I was carrying her down the stairs, all of a sudden - blechhhh -- she threw up all over me, all over her, and all over the stairs! There was no way we could go anywhere like that. I had to call the school and tell them what happened, and that I would be there to pick up my son as quick as I could.

Hypo Hippo is right. Eventually they do reach an age where they actually can make it to the bathroom in time. Until then, believe me when I say all us moms can relate!

Take best of care! :) Don't fret the exercise - you got a lot on your hands right now.

*sigh* Actually, my 4 year old already makes it to the potty, but not at night. The 2 year old has just hardly ever thrown up and didn't even seem to know that she'd done so. Weird!

Well, I did end up taking them to the park for a little Valentine exchange party. I figured it was ok since she didn't have a fever and hadn't thrown up since the middle of the night. I resisted all the goodies - yay!

B: Kashi Go Lean Cereal w/ skim milk; two cups coffee w/ skim milk and 1 tbsp. creamer
Sn: apple
L: Turkey sandwich on wheat w/ dijon mustard and lettuce; baked ruffles; iced tea (artificially sweetened); leftoever bday cookie (bad)
D: Will be leftoever enchiladas and rice.

As I mentioned, no exercise today, but water is going well.

MO2, sorry the wee one is sick. Its such a bummer to see them sick, especially when they are smaller. On the bright side, she didn't do what the boys did - and you can thank your lucky stars!!! LOL When the boys were just shy of two, one of them had had diarreha in their diaper. SInce they shared a crib it was "whats mine is yours". Yup, they PLAYED in it!!! All over them, the crib, the wall, and (don't ask me how, 'cause I have no idea) the door across the room!!! yuck, gag, puke!!!! That room stunk SOOO bad! First i had to clean THEM up then I had to tackle that sh*&pit!!! Man, it was gross!!! LOL

okay, hope you weren't eatin' or nothin' :p :D Keep up the good work and hope tyke is feelin' better tonight.

Oh that's quite a story! How ccute that they shared a crib, though. Very sweet. My friend has twins and they share a room ,but not a crib anymore.

I have to say, though, my husband was so lame through the middle of the night fiasco. He's usually really great, though. Has never been of much use in the middle of the night. I called him out of bed to 'help'. I asked him to strip her and check her over from head to toe for vomit while I strip the bed, start the luandry and re-do the bed. When I'm finally finished w/ all that, he's back to sleep w/ her on his chest. I pick her up and her hair is caked w/ puke and it's scattered here and there on her jammies. HELLOOOO?????? Oh well. Can't complain. He's a great husband and a great dad. momentary lapse.
