Wittbound's Diary

AHHHHHH!

Just got back from running my 2-mile, and according to my ipod I ran it in 15:50!!!! Totally unexpected. Oh and it was kinda raining, So I wore a jacket. Big mistake. It was hot and annoying, and I hated it. lol

But now I need to go eat something. All I've had today was my yogurt!

Thanks man! And yes....I do love yogurt. It never gets old.

My mom made beef stew, and I had one bowl of that. I don't know how many calories that is, but I only ate about 5 chunks of the beef. I honestly like the veggies better.

I have no idea what I'm going to have for dinner. I hope I can figure you something out soon!

ugh...im an idiot.

My boyfriend had some people over last night, and I....drank. 6 shots. Thats like 2 meals-worth of calories.

And now I have a partial headache, and I can't fall back asleep. It's only 8 in the morning!

Goooosh...Im gonna be so pissed if I've gained.

Hey don't feel so bad. I had 6 1.5L bottles of white wine in 5 days last week. Definately paid for it.

Hey Kristi, I have a question. What is the brand of bagels you get, and how many calories are in each??? I'm very interested.

Well, I usually get Kroger brand, just like the store brand. They are about 230 calories per bagel. :) Not too bad! And with the 1/3 less fat cream cheese they are abut 300 calories.

Hey there Kristi,

Congrats on the 2 mile time. I decided I'm going to start running 2 miles everytime i go to the gym and try to get my time to what I want, 1st goal is 18 minutes or so... We shall see.

6 shots, huh? I don't do shots too much anymore, just because they are usually an guaranteed hangover for me the next day... I mostly stick with some red wine or some beer or something. I did have some homemade margaritas at a bbq last night, and they were way good. We had some older folks making them though, so they weren't as strong as us younger folks would have liked, lol... still good tho.

Congrats on the new shoes too. I used to wear Nikes when I ran but I have pretty flat feet and Nike shoes typically are built for someone with an arch, imo. I mostly stick to a specific kind of Asics now, with the gel stuff. Whatever works I say. Now that I've had a pair of running shoes fit my feet this good, I can never go back... That ipod chip thing sounds so cool. I would love to track my runs online, when I run outside...

Happy 4th,
Sam

The chip is awesome. When you set it to track distance it tells you every .5 miles how far you've run, and then at the end it tells you when you have 400 meters, 300, etc. So for my last 100 I basically was sprinting. I really like having it. I just hope it's accurate. The only thing I don't like is that it doesnt stop recording after you hit your goal distance, so when it sends your info to the website it will include the amount of time after your done where you walk, stand, whatever. For me it was about a minute and a half before I hit stop, and that really slowed down my "average mile time" a lot.

Oh well...I guess I'll just have to stuck it up, and turn my ipod off as soon as I'm done....then collapse.

And Sam, the guy at Finish Line said that Nikes are definitely made for people with skinnier, high-arched feet. You were right. Asics are better running shoes, any way. My brother ran cross country for 8 years, won a state and national championship, and never wore anything but Asics. So who knows? :)

Thats my new shoe! :)

But any way...today got better. Started out terribly, but my boyfriend pulled through. He called at 8:15ish and said he was coming over to get me. So I went over to his house, and he took care of me basically. He knew how much trouble I'd get in if my mom heard me throwing up in the morning, so that's why he wanted me to come over. His parents are out of town, so it worked out perfectly. Once I was "better" we slept until about noon.

I didn't work out today. :( Although I weighed myself tonight, and I was at 134, so I didn't gain weight. Yay!

But now I am tired, and my bed is entirely too comfortable for me to continue typing in this journal. Night everyone!

Ergh.

I was bad today. I hope I haven't ruined what I've worked so hard for.

One day will never ruin what you worked so hard for, I sometimes think I have had a bad day and I calculate my calories and I haven't even gone over maintenance!

If your still feeling a bit guilty you could always do some exercise in your home (if its too late to go out). Like dancing to music or doing crunches or push ups or even try out some yoga or pilates poses??

And you can always make up for it tomorrow! Just dont feel guilty, it's good for your body if you mix it up sometimes.

Alright, so as it turns out...you were right. I did not ruin everything. I'm at 134 this morning. Thank god I went running yesterday. haha

Not sure what's in store for today, but I've decided I want to try and get down to 132 a week from now. That's 2ish pounds by Sunday morning.

I had a bowl of raisin bran for cereal, and I've got a potato in the oven for lunch. I'm also going to have a sandwich, and maybe some watermelon.

It's pretty hot out today, so I think I'm going to wait until about 7 to run.

Just starting out running... Want to do a cancer marathon in the spring... Any tips on how to keep my calves from cramping... I stretch for 5 before but they still cramp about 3 minutes in.. about the same time my lungs explode... lol... How many minutes should I be jogging in the beginning???

watermelon is the ultimate summer food!

The funny thing is that I used to HATE watermelon. Guess it's grown on me?

So today has been...okay. Cereal for breakfast, then my lunch wasn't so great. Pepper jack cheese melted over saltines, a BBQ pork sandwich, and a baked potato. Let's add up those calories.

Around 700? For lunch alone....

Time to step it up.

I stole a jump rope from Eric's house. Mwahaha. Now, I have no excuse not to do my "quick feet" workout. I just have to buy a ladder, now, and wow! those things are expensive. Like $50 a piece. I tried chalking it out, but the pavement hurts my feet and wears down my shoes. Any suggestions?

Kristi,

It happens to all of us from time to time (the food stuff). The important thing is to keep going (which i'm sure you'll do).

The jump rope is definitely cool to have, it gets that heart pumping for sure. For the ladder, i'm not sure. (I'm assuming you want an agility ladder?) Maybe small branches or long sticks and spreading them out by whatever distance you want (on the dirt or grass of course), or maybe yarn... or maybe you shouldn't take my advice. haha Good luck finding something though!

Yes, it is an agility ladder, and I talked to my mom about it. She said that she'd buy it for me. :) Yay!

Now I'm REALLY going to have to do my quick feet workout.

I'm having a hard time getting motivated to workout today. I had practice this morning, and we did a couple of sprints. By the end of them I was practically drenched, so I know I'm going to struggle with a run in this heat. Oh well though, right?

I'm planning out my lunch because I feel like that helps me to not snack on other things. I've already got the calories figured out, so why would I want to throw it off?

-Turkey Sandwich with pepperjack cheese, onions, banana peppers, onions, and light mayo on light wheat bread.
-Green pepper slices with 1 tbs of light ranch
-1 full water bottle of water

I bought a water bottle at WalMart the other day. Is it weird that I'm excited to use it? That's when you know you've turned into a health freak. haha

I had a nutrigrain bar before practice, and I'm going to say that I burned the 140 calories off during practice, so I'm not counting it...

After I had another nutrigrain bar, and my yogurt, which adds up to about 300 calories.

I'll be back to write about my lunch and my run.
