162.6 is a great number for weigh in day. You definitely have a real shot to hit that mark by September 12.

Sounds like a great workout with your brother, though it's a shame your heart exploded. Can you get a new one? :D

Really happy with myself today again. I went out for dinner with family, but made really great choices and not only did I stay under calories, I had enough calories left that I could have a snack in the evening. Since I went for supper and knew I wouldn't get home terribly early I was gonna not force myself to get in my 10,000 steps, but I decided that in the places I could do some extra walking (getting to my car, parking far away at a friend's place when I went to look after her cats, taking the far staircase to my apartment) I would. I did forget to park far away when I had to stop in at my shop, due to the fact that the reason I was stopping at my shop was to get the phone number for the groomer I hired on Tuesday to tell her that we were letting her go (so now I have to search for a new one AGAIN! Arg!) so had too much on my mind.
Got home at around 9:15 got my snack ready and plunked down on my couch to relax the evening away when I was like, I can't say I'm back on track when I'm not even halfway to getting my steps done today! I forced myself up off the couch, tossed on my workout gear (still in full makeup and beautifully straightened hair), and rushed down to the gym. I only got to the gym after 9:30 and we are not supposed to be in there after 10 so the noise doesn't bother the residents that live near by. Luckily walking on the treadmill (I didn't have the energy to run) is quite quiet because it took my 45 mins (with some of the walking at a speed of 4.0) to make up my steps and miles. But I did it and am very happy with myself.

Not a great day today. I had to work today till 2, then I SHOULD have gone to ride as I know I have issues with being at home for long periods of time not doing anything and eating too much, but I was feeling really tired so didn't.
I started having just a light snack (half a serving of my popcorn snack), then was like, I think I could do the full serving. Got up to get the rest of the serving and started craving a quesadilla. I have just been craving them so bad. So I had one, which by itself is over 600 cals... theeeen I had another one. Then I think I still had the other half of my popcorn snack.
I then felt super full but it was only like 4:30. I should have gone and gotten my steps in but I was lazy. I did suggest bowling to my friend as it would be more active then a movie or something. So at 8 me and a few friends went bowling, and I did get a pop. I was hoping that would be it for calories, but then they wanted to go for appetizers afterwards (and I had come in the same car as a friend so couldn't just leave) and I ate far too much. I'm not sure what my cals were for it, but I just added 1500 cals for the evening.

This places my cals for today around 3300, which is really bad, AND tomorrow I am having a BBQ/picnic with family and my mom is super excited for us to try this cake she's making. I will just try to be really disciplined before I go, and make smart choices while there.

Today is another day Mystic! We can do it. I still had my Sunday night's "treats" plate, even though I had already gone over my cals for the day. Today we're back into it full swing! :D xo Cate
 
Last really bad day today. It's gonna be incredibly hard to fight back the cravings and re-get back on track but I know I can do it. A big thing will be to keep myself occupied, and I will be back riding my horse again and will be making sure I get in all my steps so I should stay pretty busy. However work may slow down a touch being that it's the start of school and people's time and money are being spent on their kids, not their dogs.

I have NO idea what my calories were today.
I started off waking up early and have maybe 3 servings of that popcorn which is about 780 cals, right out of the gate.
I then went to the mall to get my mom a present since the bbq was sorta for her bday. I decided I wasn't hungry enough for lunch but would get a yogun fruz which is about 170 cals,
I then ate that and immediately proceeded to the food court and got a big slice of pizza, 2 big breadsticks, and a coke (though I really only had a couple small sips of the coke, and ate 3/4 of the pizza) which is about 975.
I then went to my mom's for the bbq (well we had it at the lake where I bought my new house as I could get a day pass to go) and had a can of pepsi, 2 hot dogs with ketchup and mustard, a couple chips, and a salad which is about 1080
Then went back to my mom's and had a large slice of cake, wild guess of 450

For a grand total of... 3455
In all honesty, I thought it might be worse. It's not GOOD obviously, but it's more closely related calorie wise to my 'usual bad' eating habits, even though it felt like I was gorging myself all day for worse than usual.

All my totals combined for the week, divided by the number of days means that I ate an average of 2253 cals a day which is probably close to maintenance, so though it has been a disappointing week, it could have been worse. And I've still had a good desire to post in my diary here, which usually when I fall off the wagon I don't have any desire to keep posting here so crossing fingers the fire is still lit.

Quite happy with my day today.
Worked a bit of a lighter day, finishing up a bit early. I was feeling really tired so I did not go ride my horse.
I got home and really wanted to find a new recipe to try to make for suppers and such. I found one to try (though it was very similar to something else I already make with really just one change), then walked to the grocery store to pick up some things I needed/wanted. It's a decent walk and it's got a big uphill climb due to the over the road pedestrian bridge.
Walked home and started to make my food (had to bake the chicken first, then put it with the other ingredients and bake the whole thing). Once it was done and I had eaten (and waited a bit) I went down to the gym to get my steps in.
I walked for 5 mins to warm up, then decided that I would run a full 10 mins, then one min walk, then another 10 mins run. I ran 3 sets of that, then cooled out with about 12 more mins walking. I actually got over my steps and mileage.
I then had some grapes for snack to finish off the day. Really had no cravings at all, that's when I can really tell that I'm fairly on track and determined, I don't get near the cravings. They should have been bad today due to the eating I did the last week.

One of the real pains when you have a bad food day is that the scale likes to mock you for it and show more damage than you actually did: IE, the more food you eat (particularly carbs) the more water your body holds onto, and you can "gain" like 7 pounds in one day. Obviously you don't actually gain that much weight, but even when you know what's going on, it's still a pain.

Another good day today.
The last couple days I have been thinking about painting the front area in my grooming salon. Today I had some free time at work so went out and got paint and started painting. Got the first coat done on the feature wall! Unfortunately it's a pretty dark color going on top of a pretty light color so will need at least 3 coats! And unfortunately (and fortunately for business sake haha) I'm pretty busy the whole rest of the week, then camping on the weekend so not sure when I will get those other 2 coats done! And then I still have the other 3 wall to do (in a different color that will hopefully only need two coats!).
Rode my horse for the first time since the horse show. Partly I was giving him time off for his leg that got caught in the fence before the horse show, and partly I was being lazy. A lighter ride today to get back in the swing of things.
My mom was looking after my niece today so we all went to Dairy Queen for supper. Thankfully I was able to look up the calories of what I could get and was able to nicely fit it into my day (I even upped the cals a bit just in case). Had the grilled chicken that comes with a small side of fries, then had a water instead of pop.
I didn't run quite as hard today, stuck to 5 min run, 1 min walk rotation. Was pretty happy with it. Thought I had gotten everything completed that fitbit wants me to, went back to my apartment and relaxed. I suddenly checked my fitbit and realized that I still needed to get in 2 more flights of stairs! For some reason I thought I had gone at least a couple flights over what I needed, not sure why I thought that! So I had to get back up and go get those last 2 flights done (ended up doing 3 flights).

I keep on truckin on this wagon ride.
Another good day today. I thought work would be really busy, but it ended up being much easier than I had thought so I actually got some painting done in my shop today. My feature wall is finished, I just probably need to roll my desk one more time to finish off with the purple color. I'm not totally sure I like my grey paint. It didn't look blue in the store but it's looking blue on my walls, and unfortunately I put just a bit on the walls next to my purple and thought it looked good so when I had to go to the paint store to get some stuff I ordered another gallon as I knew we would need more. Now that it's on there and I did one window frame in the trim color it's looking really blue again. Not sure what I'll do. I think I'd be happier picking out a new color, just sad I ordered the second gallon.
I painted till after 5:30 so I didn't go to the barn. Had a yummy super of chicken and noodles with pasta sauce and cheese.
Went to the gym and did 10 run/1 walk, with an extra minute of sprinting at the end. Then finished off my day with some grapes and watermelon.

A couple of extra notes.
I don't understand why people put the incline so high on the treamill, then hang onto the front of the treadmill the whole time! It completely defeats the purpose of you have the incline so high! Why not make it a medium incline and actually use your legs to do the work, so you actually get the benefit from walking on an incline! Going up stairs or doing any hillwork I try to make sure that I'm not pushing my hands down on my legs to get up, my hands stay off my legs so I'm actually doing the work not faking it!

Secondly, though my fitbit is very motivating to get up and do some exercise, it also makes me limit things that I do.
A. I don't use the bike or rower to get in cardio because it won't register properly on my fitbit so I won't get the steps I 'need' for the day unless I go on the treadmill for 45+ mins as well.
B. After I do have to go on the treadmill for 45+ mins, I don't have the energy or sometimes the time to do anything else, like lift weights, which I really want to do. I don't want to spend an hour and a half plus at the gym 4 times a week and 45+ mins the other days of the week. I want to do an hour or less and get it done and over with. I should try my Ri30 or 30DS videos again and see what kind of steps they get me as at least they incorporate both cardio and weights.
