Third Times a Charm?????

Ok this weeks motivational quote. I really like this one because it really make helps in them times when you don't feel like your making any progress and on them days/weeks that you didn't stay with your routine or diet.

JUST BECAUSE YOU FAIL, DOESN'T MAKE YOU A FAILURE. YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO FAIL, BECAUSE FAILURE IS TEH STEPPING STONE TO SUCCESS

Good luck to you all this week. May you all lose the most weight that you can....

I like the quote. Feeling like a failure is counterproductive (and may lead to bingeing), viewing failure as a learning opportunity gets me back into the saddle much more quickly.
Hope you´re done with the yardwork, take care of your skin and have fun in the gym :)

Yea, you can't let failure get the best of you. You can't let it get you down. It is a learning lesson, a lesson that you have to implement and not let it happen again.

Decent workout last night. Did 30 min run then weights working on my Biceps and Back.
I've decided to take a few weeks off on the classes and focus strictly on running and weights. So tonight I'll be working on chest and triceps.

Not a lot to say today. Did 30 min run and worked on triceps and chest with the weights.
Not a lot of motivation last night but I pushed myself to keep going

I know what you mean about having no motivation, GGH. And you're right, just gotta keep pushing. I am glad to see you're sticking with it. We can do this!!

I usually find that starting is the only hard part. If I can trick myself into doing "just five minutes" I´ll usually do an entire workout. But getting started is often HARD.

I agree LM. Typically once I get started I'm good to go for the whole workout.
Ok so last night the wife wanted me to come home early so we could go for our walk before a show she wanted to watch came on. So I skipped the run and went straight into lifting weights. Worked on shoulders and abs. Once I got home we went on a 3 mile walk. It is so awesome to walk out in the country this time of year with all the green trees and corn fields. It's a great little workout also because there are 2 large hills with have to walk within the 3 miles.

Workout was decent last night. Did my 30 min run then did weights working on back and biceps. Even thou I worked my ass off after it was over I just had this feeling that it wasn't as much as I could of done. Can't really explain why it just felt like I didn't get anything out of it.

Maybe you worked your biceps and back for all they were worth but you didn´t spend enough energy overall to feel properly exhausted? Or maybe it´s just one of those days (the kind you get every day).

Ok I'm getting a little upset. The scale is all over the place except down. Granted I can probably say it is the excuse of trading muscle for fat, but never the least I would like to see it drop. I'm hoping and staying positive that in the long run it will begin to drop.

With that being said it time for this weeks motivational quote and one that I keep in my head that really goes with my current situation:

"NO MATTER HOW MANY MISTAKES YOU MAKE OR HOW SLOW YOU PROGRESS, YOU ARE STILL WAY AHEAD OF EVERYONE WHO ISN'T TRYING" - TONY ROBBINS

Good luck to you all. I hope you all have a great week and lose many a lbs/kg/stones.

Another very true thought :)

But I´m sorry your weight isn´t budging. Since I´m a spoilsport I´ll say that gaining muscle mass is a very slow process which doesn´t actually keep most people from losing weight (unless they alwys lose it at a very slow rate anyway) for some details. Don´t really want to be mean but I don´t want you to get disappointed about your musclegain either...

Well bust my bubble.... Its ok I guess..
Anyways started a new workout routine last night. Talk about a kick in the ass. Started out with a 20 min run then did complete upper body superset workout. After two rounds of weights I had to run a second time but this time for only 10 min. That 10 min felt like forever. My body was already worn out from the weights and then run again.. ugh!!! Anyways after the second run I had to do 2 rounds of the supersets again. By the time I was done, I WAS DONE!!!! LOL
Weighed in this morning just to see.... wouldn't you know it actually said I lost... WOO WOO. About damn time. Down to 197

I've heard that sometimes you can stop losing as much if you keep doing the same workouts all the time because your body just gets used to it. That might be why the new workout has kickstarted it again. I should really pay attention to this and change mine up a bit but I like my routine haha!

Thanks LM.
Yea JB, I've heard the same thing. And I've experienced it in the past where it did help jumpstart me.
Well Last night was day 2 of the new workout where again I started by running 20 min, then did an abs and legs workout (2 supersets), then ran for another 10 min, and finished up with another 2 supersets of abs and legs. When I got home the wife and I went on a 2 mile hike.
Felt pretty good once I was done with everything. That is until this morning. When I woke up I was slow in getting out of bed and moving...

You continue to amaze me, GGH. You workoutmachine you. Great going. And congratulations on the loss!! Wooohooo!!

Thank you miss amber. You also amaze me

UGH!!!!!!
Can somebody please call KFC and order me some new legs and thighs? I think I lost mine somewhere between the gym and home. Cause mine are toast. Can't seem to move very much with out soreness. Funny thing is that they were fine after my legs and abs day on Tuesday. But as soon as I got home from my workout last night I was sore as all get out. Minus the running last night I worked upper body. And that is something I've noticed about me. Typically after working out a particular muscle, it feel pretty good the next day. Its the second day that the soreness kicks in and let me tell you, this time I'm REALLY SORE..... lol
The wife even tried to help me by putting me through some yoga stretches to maybe help out with the soreness. All I can say is.... I tried.... I'm so tight and sore it actually hurt more when I got into the stretching poses... lol

Oh well the price we pay to make our lives and bodies better.....

GOD I LOVE THIS SHIT.....

:D Second day is often worse, don´t ask me why. Light walking or swimming sometimes alleviates things because the improved circulation helps get rid of the accumulated "junk" in your muscles, making regeneration a bit faster. *Whistles* Are you... loving the pain, loving the pain... Every day, it gets better ;)

I like that one. i heard one kinda like that. I was complaining about how slow I was when I first started back walking on the track and a friend said "well you are lapping everyone who is home sitting on the couch"
