OUT OF ACTION FOR A COUPLE DAYS!!!!!!

Yesterday I was helping my daughter with a sewing project she is working on for her new puppy she is getting and with crawling around on the floor my sciatic (don't know if I spelled that right) nerve shot a serious pain in my lower back. Still hurts like crazy today and I'm having a hard time just moving around. So no gym for me until it calms down. Hopefully not to long.....

That blow GGH! Take care of it. Give it the rest it needs and when that spasming calms down try to walk around to loosen it up. I hope it's a short spell of pain. I have had the same problem and so I sympathize a lot!

Oh I too have experienced that pain. It was about 8 years ago, I was stubborn about getting in to a yoga twist position that my body did not like! Anti-inflammatory medication helped a bit. But you do have to let it heal! Hope you feel better soon!

thank you all for your concerns.

Well got back into the gym today after taking a week off from the pain in my back. Still feeling a bit sore but its to the point I can work through it. Much better now considering the first couple days I could barely get out of bed and being able to sit down or stand up was a chore. Good news is that I didn't gain anything during that off week, but I didn't lose anything either. lol

Was able to get through my workout with no real pain or trouble, just a little bothersome.

20 min run
3 sets 45 sec each planks
3 sets 20 reps crunches
3 sets 20 reps oblique crunches each side
3 sets 20 reps elevated crunches
30 min elliptical

Glad it´s going the right way and much respect for not gaining any weight despite your troubles!

thanks LM. Means a lot to me.
Feeling beat the hell up today legs and back especially.

20 min run

3 sets 10 reps body squats with 18 lb ball

3 sets 10 reps torso twist machine at 110 lbs
3 sets 10 reps vertical leg lifts.

Wasn't my best day. Still got to the gym but wasn't able to complete a whole workout. To start with when I woke up this morning my ankle was hurting but it was high so I figured I would at least try. I was also running a little late adding to that I had to stop for gas. So once I got to the gym I was already about 15 min later than usual. Started my run and all was going pretty good. When I hit my 20 min mark I decided since I'm running late I might as well just make this a cardio day so I continued to run, finishing at 30 min. That's when the trouble started. My ankle was fine, I had no problem with that. It was the rest of my legs that were a problem. As I was cooling down I could feel my legs tightening up. By the time I had finished cooling down my legs had tightened up so much they felt like stones. I figured that once I got onto the elliptical they will loosen up. So I got on the elliptical and about 3 min in I just couldn't take it any longer. My legs just didn't want to get the job done. So instead of suffering through it I stopped and called it a day.

At least I got my run in. That counts doesn't it?...lol

It certainly does! You got to the gym and did what you could even though you weren´t feeling it and that´s great. Stopping because your body is shutting down is the common sense thing to do. I hope it got better afterward?

End of the Month weigh in and weight loss update. This month wasn't as good as last month but still had a decent loss. Especially with the fact that I had taken a week off for my back pain and then last week I lost two days because I wasn't feeling good. So for the month of February my total lost was 7 lbs. Which brings me to 195 lbs. WOO WOO. Hoping for a better March.

Today was Cardio Day
30 mine run
30 min elliptical
