Ughhh I caved, guys. I had a Guinness. It's St Patrick's day and we were having corned beef for dinner and I had become annoyed/anxious/angry late in the day and our warm temp suddenly dropped to freezing with 30 mph winds and after walking just six minutes in it I wanted to cry and instead of crying I had a beer.

I'm being dramatic. I wanted a beer so I drank one. Now I am going to drink some water and digest my corned beef.

Look at the bright side. You had "A" beer. You didn't drink a 6 pack. You didn't spend your day out drinking (a coworker of mine who isn't even Irish takes this day off every year to drink all day... sad). Drink plenty of water and start your no alcohol count over again. :)

Mandy, I've never understood the binge drinking surrounding this holiday! It's really insane. Sunday was parade day in Boston, I'm sure the bars were packed. I partook in the shenanigans one year (2011) but that was my first and last St Patrick's Day adventures. I didn't even wear green today.

One Guinness, hardly the end of the world - I think the alcohol is something like 3.2% ABV? Not a problem, just don't do it again!

LJ, as far as beers go it's definitely a decent one to cheat with. I think it's 4.2%, 125 calories or so. I refrained from drinking any Bailey's, so it definitely could have been worse!

I was tired last night and didn't even do any stretching. That's a bad idea, I really gotta take care of that hip. It's getting so close to outdoor running season! I don't have time for preventable/fixable issues!

Thanks, LaMa! I did spend some time stretching and icing tonight. I'll try to make sure I do the same tomorrow.

Take care of that hip! Though I am the master of not fixing fixable issues. I should wear a night guard every night because I grind my teeth, but I don't, and now have nubs for teeth!
