So last night, my hubby grilled Tilapia again he made it with lime and cilantro sauce, and mangos. He even grilled the mangos. MMMM it was sooo yummy. we ate salad and brown rice with it. Then I had 1/2 cup of chocolate frozen yogurt with brownies. MMMM yum.

I weighed in at 162.0 this morning even though the only exercise I did was arm reps, and exercises targeting my tummy for about 20 minutes total. well and crawling around on the floor like a horse with both of my kids on my back counts for something too right? lol

I'm going to update my ticker every Friday from now on. It will make it easier to see how much I lose per week because right now I have no idea. I've only been losing for like a week or so.....At first I was just so excited I was FINALLY losing, I had to update it immediately. I'll seriously pass out if I see 161.X in the next 2 days. Please please please :drool5: I might pass up on the sour straws so it can happen faster lol
 
So this weekend was far from perfect, but it wasn't too terrible. I didn't get the sour straws, but I more than made up for it by having 2 slices of pizza at lunch!!!:piggy: It was a very weak moment. We had no food in the house so DH ran out to pick up pizza. It was soooooooooooo freaking good. YUM. I'm going to relish it, because it will be like a month before I can have it again lol.
Dark Knight was kick ass. LOVED it. We had a great time :) I had about a cup of popcorn at the movie :( At least it didn't have any butter though :blush5:

Ok, so Saturday, I did ab work and arms, no cardio (all of 20ish minutes :( ) I weighed myself and was up a pound at 163. Hopefully it's just water weight from the pizza/popcorn and will be back down tomorrow


Today--
bfast--few bites of scrambles egg, 4 oz oj
lunch--pb& jelly, handful of grapes
dinner--maui maui fish (in sauce), baked, 1/2 baked potato, salad
snack--1/2 C frozen chocolate yogurt mmmmm
--Powerade 0

Today, I did 2 miles on the elliptical in 18 minutes AND I did Windsor Pilates ab work out too :) Thank goodness for my friend because she called me at 9pm and asked me if I wanted to work out with her. Otherwise, it would not have happened. I would have just kept studying. Midterm's on Tuesday. Gotta go back to cramming. I have so much to memorize :(

Hey purple! I know you are busy with school, I just wanted to pop in and tell you congrats on all of your hard work and awesome results. My friend is going to buddy up with me and we are going to start working out on Wednesday and Friday mornings. You have been doing so great with your workout buddy that I am excited to give it a try. It will be good for me to have someone other than myself to be accountable to with my workouts.

Keep up the awesome work!
 
Funmom, I"m so glad you got a work out buddy! I hope it really works out great for you :)

Tonight, my work out buddy and I went to the gym. We did 20 minutes on the elliptical. I only went 1.35 miles in that time. Then we did 10 minutes on the stationary bike. I did the fat burning mode, then 12 minutes on the treadmill. I average 3mph at incline of 8. Then we did circuit training! We did about 12 machines. We were at the gym working out for 1.5 hrs. Walking out, we felt great! I love it!! It's so much better than taking a step class lol

I need to figure out what my target heart rate is. I averaged 150 on the bike and 172 on the elliptical.....
 
Check if those machines don't have a "cardio/training" zone program (like the fat burn one). Usually you can enter some basic data and it then gives you a heart rate to work for during that exercise.

Otherwise, Google is your friend :)

Wow, your workout sounds very similar to mine yesterday... felt awesome!
 
Hey great workout!! I'm not sure if you are aware of this, but you should be doing your weight training before you do your cardio. The first 20-30 minutes of your workout you only burn the glucose that is stored in your muscle. You can burn that up with the weight training. Then when you jump into the cardio, it's pure fat burning.
 
The way I always did it was stretching, then about 5 min of cardio and then my weight training. I would often do weight training and aerobics on separate days.

I keep reading on here to do weight training first, and that also feels intuitive to me too, and how I always do it if I need to do the same in 1 day

But my friend does it opposite, so I just went along. I told her why I do weights first and she had an explanation for her way too, so honestly I figure it's not that big of a deal. People believe in both sides and it seems like both sides have been proven lol. They both work fine for me.

So I"m basically not too concerned with it. If I were working out on my own, I'd def do weights first :)

and yes, it did feel awesome Anke!! I'm slightly sore today woohoo!

scale said 164.0 this morning. Darn TOM :( I know it's just water weight, but it still sucks after seeing 162.0 for a few days, and thinking I"d have a chance to be into the 50's this week :(

Wow, my whole body is aching today!!! I thought I was a little sore yesterday, but now it's really kicked in! My abs are sooo sore from belly dancing! Still haven't worked up the courage to run... going to gym today....

Ye, I also warm up with 5mins cardio before I do weights...

scale said 164.6 today :toetap05: TOM is not officially here yet, but will be soon. Hopefully if I keep busting my butt Ill see 161/160 by the times she leaves

Yesterday I had. Not the best day, but it's what I ate. we need to get groceries
bfast--honey nut cheerios[out of other healthier cereals]
lunch--pb and jelly on whole wheat
dinner--2egg omlette w/ ham/cheddar cheese, oj
snack--6 oz yogurt

I didn't work out at all yesterday. I'm not sore, I just got stuck in class for way too long and was feeling lazy. I plan on hitting the gym tonight and doing a quick 20 min/ 2 miles on the elliptical and calling it a day. 'm kinda hoping to work out on my own today. Otherwise she'll make me stay for over an hour lol.....I'm not in the mood to work out. But I am in the mood to eat lots of chocolate. The cravings were so strong last night. Fortunately we don't have anything like that in the house, so I didn't cave. :hurray: I'm sure I can keep it up

That was me yesterday!! I did a tae bo tape on tuesday and on wednesday I worked out. Yesterday I was SOOO SORE and I just said screw it. I took two advil and walked instead. I'm STILL sore today, though I did workout. Tomorrow I shall workout as well.
 
it's hard, but I do the same thing, I just stretch out really well and try to work past it. I hope your muscles are feeling better tomorrow Amanda

Ok, so tonight, we went to the gym. we did 30 min on the elliptical. I was aiming to keep my HR at 155, so I didn't go as far. I can't remember how long it was, but it was shy of 2 miles, but over 1.5. Then this volunteer trainer guy came over and started giving us tips.....for over 60 minutes!!!!!!!! we did abs, arms, sides etc. He also showed us some positions to hold if we're watching tv etc....He told us when he usually works, and told us to come back when he worked and he'd come help us out again. Then we did 10 more min on the treadmill. I did an incline again.

wow. I feel good. I'm so glad we got in that good work out because I had a piece of chocolate cake tonight. I don't even feel bad because It was damn good, I only had 1, and now my craving is finally over and I can stop obsessing about it hopefully until the next TOM lol
I feel so fat and bloated. can't wait until it's over

Sounds like you're doing really great with your workouts! You are lucky to have such a great workout buddy. Mine bailed on me the second time we were supposed to workout. We are going to try to get together again on Wednesday, we'll see.

Well done on the restrained chocolate allowance....

I finished off 12 chocolate brownie cookies... equalling to 1100 cals, eek!!!! All on Saturday!

Well, I'm going to be busting my ass this week to be SURE I see a new low after TOM!!!

I'm determined! Thanks for the inspiration!
 
that really sucks about your work out buddy funmom. Hopefully it won't keep happening. Did you get to work out anyway?

Anke--that's ok. I didn't have a great day yesterday either and I was using TOM to justify all of it. I had 2 bon bons, MMMMM then another piece of cake and frozen vanilla yogurt split with hot fudge sauce. All yesterday. And I had 2 pieces of pizza for dinner. Yikes.....To top it all off, no exercise Sat., or Sun., other than swimming on Sunday.

Needless to say, I'm hitting the gym tonight. Good luck getting your new low. I'm busting my ass right along with ya lol
 
Wow looks like we all had our share of splurging on the weekend. I don't feel so bad. It's kinda like everyone gained maybe one lb back and we are all just slightly where we were midway through last week.
 
Hope you have a nice trip to the gym tonite. It becomes more fun when your learn about new exercises you can do there. That was very nice of the trainer to give you some free advice, I know it can be very helpful.
