Today I stopped in on a friend's birthday party after class. I declined chicken bbq pizza, brownies, and birthday cake :hurray: I'm still in shock that I did that. I always thought people who did that were crazy lol and here I am doing the same. I still kinda regret not eating a brownie. OMG Yum I want one so bad....I want donuts and ice cream and cake. ahhhhh. I mean I really really want some. Tomorrow when I step on the scale, I'll be so happy I skipped it. It's just hard after seeing it. wow I'm an addict suffering from a trigger aren't I? :piggy:

My friend and I did windsor pilates core ab work out, and a nice arm work out with weights. That ab work out is a killer, we're doing it again.

we're doing a tape in the morning tomorrow, and our 2 miles tomorrow night. I'll get some good sleep and eat a nice healthy filling breakfast to help my energy :)

oh and the biggest news is that my size 14 jeans were falling off me. I literally had to hold onto them as I walked around school. I've been wearing work out clothes every day, so I didn't notice. I think I'm pretty much down a pant size, and now my 12's fit. I do have 1 pair of 14's that fit ok, but they are still very loose, but not have to hold them up loose.
Now is the weight going to start coming off? Please? haha

Summer class at the graduate level is a killer. Midterm is in 11 days, in between a project and some reasearch I have to do....Ugh. cant' wait until it's over. The good news is we get to skip a killer paper that people have to write when they take it in the normal semester

Congrats! That's how you measure progress, not by scale numbers. They can be a nice indicator, but they're not very accurate. Look at the weight fluctuations everyone sees... clearly not a good measure. Pants falling off? That's telling you unequivocally that you are accomplishing your goals! Good for you! Keep it up!
 
thanks!! I know you're both right. It was hard for me at first. I obviously had the wrong mentality--that the scale had to show it too.

But.....I got on the scale this am. another .4 dropped. Since the beginning of the week, it's been a steady drop. I think it's finally starting to go down and I'm not doing anything differently. It just took a long time. Now I'm excited and can't wait to keep going. And I'm so glad I didn't give in to the sweets cravings last night:drool5: Of course I already updated my ticker haha. I was going to do it weekly but I"m just so excited it's coming off I need immediate gratification :sifone:

and my abs are killing me from yesterday. It's horrible. It wraps all the way around my lower back, and starts in my low tummy all the way up to my belly button, and on the sides. ouch
 
Awesome with the resisting sweets, AND the .4 lb drop. It's better than nothing right?! Yea the weight should start to come off now slowly but surely. Just keep rockin and busting out those amazing workouts!!

165. It's not the 164I'm so happy about, but I'm just happy that I lost 2 lbs in a week because I"m, hoping it's a sign it's going to start dropping off now.

I just got on the scale after eating LUNCH and BREAKFAST and drinking a ton of H20. It said 164.6. Soooo, I bet I will definitely see 163 on the scale tomorrow morning. what motivation to have another great day. Yay. I can't wait until I'm out of the 60's. Hopefully by Aug 1st, and maybe earlier, I will be into the 50's and that's so exciting to me. Slower than I thought, but at least it is coming off

Yesterday, I did Turbo Jam and PX90. I did half of Turbo Jam and 3/4 of PX90. I just got bored doing them. I really need my work out buddy to keep me going. we're going jogging tonight though.

I ate great yesterday again, haven't had any slip ups at all.

Today--
Bfast--Kashi Heart to Heart cereal w/ Milk
Lunch--homemade salad w/ a hard boiled egg, sliced ham

will update as I eat more

162.8. Even better than I thought :sifone: The only exercise I did last night was a quick trip--probably only half a mile or a little less. Plus, I had a reduced fat Hebrew Nationals Hot dog and a full serving of Mac N Cheese yesterday for dinner. How funny that the first time I cheat in a few weeks, I drop to my lowest. LOL. I was dreading my weigh in.

I"m starting to get pretty stressed out about my summer class. it's only week 2 and we have midterms on Tues, and projects etc due. I''m not a stress eater, so I'm not worried about that. I'm worried about not getting in the exercise....Hopefully I can keep that up. Thank goodness hubby is on board. He's curbed so many cravings for desserts. This weekend, we're going to go see Dark Knight, and I am planning on eating Sour straws MMMMM and maybe even a slice of pizza? At least the sour straws.....

Great job with the weight loss! You should be so proud of yourself! You are totally kicking my butt in the exercise department. I have been feeling hot and unmotivated lately, but every time I read your journal I feel obligated to work out b/c you are doing so great.

Congrats on the weight loss! Your moving right along. What kind of class are you taking this summer? Sour straws sound yummy. They remind me of my childhood working at the snackbar for little league, especially the blue ones :)

I bet Dark Knight will be good. I've always had a mad mad crush on Heath, god rest his soul :cry: I don't know if him in all his Joker paint will do it for me though... At least Christian Bale's in it too, he's pretty easy on the eyes as well... I need to for sure see Dark Knight but I also want to see Mamma Mia as well - I triple love Meryl Streep and everything she's in usually.... decisions decisions :)

Anke--sour straws . It's sour flavored licorice covered in sugar. MMM yum. I'm pretty sure they're fat free too lol

Sam--I'm so excited to watch Christian Bale. He's so HOT. You have good taste in boys :) I"m taking applied research methods, or something like that. It's applying statistics/research methods to practice as a counselor.

Funmom, I know, it's hard to keep up the exercise. I have to tell myself "SUCK IT UP" for some reason that works. I just make myself. I'm not as committed when my work out buddy isn't there. Maybe finding one might help you?


So I'm still doing the sour straws this weekend, but the pizza is definitely OFF. Last night, I had a wendy's grilled chicken sandwich and french fries :ack2::ack2: Fortunately, I had a low cal day, so I think I was ok with cals, but it's still not good. I feel a slippery slope of my old habits coming in with the mac n cheese the other night

for yesterday--

bfast--Kashi Heart to Heart cereal and 1 milk
lunch--romaine lettuce [1 c] with 3 slices of thin ham
snack--yogurt
dinner--wendy's grilled chicken sand, 25ish french fries, lite lemonade

Exercise--21 min on the elliptical. I averaged 45, but the last minute, I kept it at 65. Kicked my butt. The last minute was really slow to cool down

Wow that is super fantastic!! Measurements are key!!! When the weight doesn't go down, you can expect the inches to be falling off.
