Take 2

Don't worry, sometimes we start panicking just before another exciting challenge starts, it's natural. Just get started on the new plan now! :)

Just try to get in more fruits and veggies. I know it's hard. Sometimes my day's worth of food looks a lot like yours and I'm like WTF did I eat today? On those days I just make sure my cals are at what they are supposed to be and move on. Fruits/veggies/water is what i need. Glad to hear you found some visible definition in your arm. That is always motivating. I look in the mirror a lot, it is one of the things that keeps me going. Knowing and seeing the little differences as they come. I can already tell my love handles are shrinking up some because of how Nazi I've been with this little core routine I try to do every other day... That and the running I'm sure.

Take it easy,
Sam:)

Thanks Anke and Sam. I look at myself in the mirror a lot these days too. Just tonight I was checking out my arm definition in the mirror (again haha) and dh just rolled his eyes. I like sucking in my belly and flattening it out and see what I will look like someday....it keeps me going too:) I love how my shoulders are coming along too. The under part of my arms is the last to get with it. They are looking very flabby!

I went to the gym tonight. 1.3 miles in 20 minutes on the elliptical. I did the last minute in reverse. Man that works a whole set of different muscles in my legs! Then I did 15 on the bike & the weight machines--arms and legs. Today was better eating wise, but still not perfect.
My interview is tomorrow at 2. I'm so nervous, I can't think straight. I just can't wait until it's over

That sounded like a good workout... man how I miss exercise... yet I despise it at the same time. Puzzling.

Good luck for your interview, you'll do great!!

woohoo!! I got the internship, they offered it to me right there. It's going to be interesting, a lot of legal stuff to learn!! I'm excited :) They showed me around and introduced me to everyone!

I forgot to say, my weight went back down to my ticker. must have just been water weight :) It's not going down any more, but I guess that's just how my body works. It stays the same for a few weeks, then it drops off in chunks in one week :)

Thanks Beckie!!! I definitely feel less stressed :)

I went to the gym tonight. I did only 1 mile on the elliptical, then I did 2.5 on a bike, 50 crunches and some arm exercises with free weights. Not as much as normal, but the gym was dead. There was no energy in there, and the few people that were there were all sitting around! I'm still glad I went. I was going to go tomorrow, but my membership expired (yesterday, but they were nice and let me in today). I have to go to a specific Y 35 minutes away to renew because it's a student membership. What a pain, but I"ll be in that area Sunday, so I'll renew then and figure out some other exercise to do tomorrow. Maybe a bike ride?

Great job on dropping a few!! It's always fun to see the scale numbers go down after it's been sitting still for awhile. Biking is always fun. It's sooo hot down here in La, but as soon as the first sign of fall gets here, I plan on doing some bike riding outside. Changing up things is always a good thing. Hope you're having a good weekend. :) Keep up the great work!

thanks PR! I hope you have a great weekend too :)

So my weekend was lots of fun....but very very very crappy. I ate so much junk :( I'm not happy with myself at all. I'm very fortunate that the scale is the same. Even though I ate the junk, it wasnt over 1700 cals in junk. But 1700 cals is a lot for me....

Anyway I start my internship next week. I will be working a full 9 hour day, and I have a long commute there, and a 3 hour night class right after work, so I'll be eating on the go for all 3 meals very often. I got some Slimfast Low Carb shakes. They're $6.50 for 4 (but still cheaper than a fast food meal!) I drank my first one, and I feel so full, like I over-ate big time. I think these will be great for on my way to class after working! I"m so glad I found something and I plan on avoiding french fries at all costs, even when busy! :)

Sounds like you are well prepared, good luck for this week!

Well done on the internship!! Congratulations!!!

Still holding at 159.4 [well I kinda went up a pound for a few days, but I'm sure it was just sodium].
The only thing I'm worried about is TOM is not here yet and I'm petrified she'll be full blown during my first day of work :(

No gym the last few days. Since I renewed my student membership, the Y says I can only work out at the Y that's 35 minutes away (if there's no traffic). So obviously my arse isn't driving over an hour both ways just to go work out. I'm too busy for that. So the hubby and I are getting a family membership so we can work out at the Y close to us. We're just waiting until I get my badge from my internship so we can get the joining fee waived for being a government employee (worth the wait to save $100!). I'm looking forward to swim laps a couple times a week, and doing my normal elliptical/weights 2-3 times a week as well. In the meantime, I think I'm just going to relax, eat well/healthy, and take a week off from working out

ugh, my membership's expiring in a few weeks... and I havent even been going the last (almost) 2 months! I'm a little confused as to whether or not I should get a new membership.

Clever me says that I first need to prove I can do do regular exercise again to myself... so ye :/

I've been gone for so long. I've been terrible exercise-wise because I had an awful respiratory bug/sinus infection for a couple weeks. I still get coughing fits! Last night I had to down tons of Dayquil, and throat lozenges to stop having coughing fits every 10 minutes in class :(

We obviously haven't rejoined the gym yet. No sense if we can't work out! Both my kids & DH were sick too. I still managed to lose a pound though. Even though it's coming off so slowly, I'm excited to be even closer to the 140's. We'll rejoin in a few days & resume working out

My internship/classes are going great :)

thank you PR :)

Scale was at 157.6 today!!! Yippee!

Hubby & I are going to the gym and doing laps today after work. I bought goggles and a swim cap. I've never swam laps before, should be an interesting experience :) I guess I will start out freestyle, swim laps, time it and try to increase my speed. I'll need to work on other swim strokes, but freestyle is the only one I can do without looking like a floppy fish. I'm going to google it and see what a beginner lap swimmer should do. I can't wait!

Congrats on the new weigh in low!!! That is terrific you and hubby are going to go do laps. Having a workout partner like that would be terrific. Your doing great :)

Ok seriously. I have been gone forever :( I am at 157.2. Haven't worked out in a really really long time. It's sad that I wanted to be at my goal weight by Halloween! No way that's gonna happen. I need to get back into it. I just decided right now that I"m going for a run around the block tonight.

I discovered this drink to make at home that tastes just like the frappachinos you buy at Starbucks. Ooooh man. Bad freaking idea. It's like a zillion calories because it has condensed milk in it! Yikes. That will be my downfall.

Ok, I'm off to run and I'm absolutely serious. I'm back now, at least for the exercise daily.

With the crazy summer I lost track of some people but you were one of the first people to give me support when I started this forum so I wanted to swing by and say hello :) Hope things are goin well, drop me a line next time you log on if you have time. ~Lisa

Thank you Lisa :) It's so nice to come by here after being away again and seeing this message!!!! Thanks again. I'll swing by your journal and see how you're doing :)

Ok, so I'm still holding around 158/157. I saw as low as 156 but that was only 1 day :ack2:

Grad school+my internship + my 2 young kids=no exercise lately :( I am using excuses, I could do more exercise, I'm just sooo tired. I would really like to keep losing weight, but I guess I"m too lazy! I'm eating decently though.

I decided today as a way to get my lazy bum to exercise that WHEN I lose another 15 pounds, I can get my tummy tuck & breast reduction (depending on the time of the school year) :) I've wanted a BR since I was 16. I'm not in a hurry, it will put too much pressure on me and then I'll probably stop all together. But as long as I'm losing or holding, I will be happy. Hopefully I'll have the 15 lbs gone by Feb, but I won't be upset, as long as I don't gain!!!
