Take 2

Thanks Kasey and Sam. I didn't make it to the gym, I had a huge assignment I had to get done. I couldn't go last night or tonight because my husband's out of town and I don't have anyone to watch the kids. I'm going Thurs night for sure. Yesterday I tried doing Turbo Jam in my living room before class. There's a house being built next to us on our cul de sac and we have these big windows near the ceiling. we don't have blinds on them because they're up so high and no one can see through them unless they're on a ladder..... I was standing there in my sports bra and underwear ready to work out when I look out and there's a construction worker looking at me on a ladder [he was doing window stuff on the two story they're building]. AAAAHHH. LOL LOL. So I went running and didn't go in my living room again until I was showered and dressed.

Today I'm watching my sister's 6 month old all day. Combine that with my 1 and 3 year old, I don't know if it will happen. I am going to try and do Turbo Jam after my daughter's Preschool orientation after 6 but there's no sense in trying to do it w/ all the kids here haha.

I'll stop on other diaries later. I have to take care of the kiddos, it's gonna be a fun day!:waving:

Oh and I forgot, the scale said 162.6 this morning. I'm hoping a little of that is still water weight. I'm going to drink tons and hope it's down some more tomorrow. I think it will be....

Good lord, watching all those youngsters, you are a saint. My friend has 3 kids under the age of 7, and it is hard for me to go visit for very long sometimes :)

Good job on getting in the exercise when you can. Your certainly chugging right along ;)

-Sam

Hahaha! LOL about the construction worker! I hate it when stuff like that happens!

Try work in some play time exercise with the kiddos!!

thanks! Yeah the construction worker sucked, but i"m over it haha. Still sucks because I'm sure he's working there daily.....

I didn't get to any formal exercise yesterday AGAIN. It probably would have helped me de-stress but after a full day of kids, I couldn't do it. I put mine down as early as possible, curled up, and watched a movie until my hubby came home after 11pm. I'm so glad he's back, I missed him. I even had a Burger King sandwich yesterday for dinner. I ate half of it and had a few fries. I was still ok for my cal allowance for the day, but I still shouldn't do it.

Scale said 162.0 again today yay!! I'm getting back on track today and am thanking my lucky stars I didn't gain in my few days "off" Now I am refocusing and I'm setting my sights to be in the 50's shortly!

I worked out Fri night--25 min on elliptical, 15 bike, 20 circuit training. Nothing Saturday, and just went swimming today.

Hubby and I are starting the South Beach Diet. We're very excited! :) We just got the book and will start it in a few days after we read up on it a bit.

Time for monthly pictures!

:nopity: You worked out Friday night, I worked out Saturday morning... what happened to us???

Truthfully though, I'm loving this. Your Pictures show a DEFINITE improvement!!! You sure you guys NEED the South Beach Diet? Just make SURE it's healthy and enough cals (etc, preach preach) then all is good :).

But seriously, the phrase that popped into my head when I saw the photos was "She's taking shape!"

Thanks Anke. That's a good phrase to come into mind hehe.

I used to think we didn't need anything special, but the weight is coming off so slowly....it's so discouraging. In fact, the bulk of my seven lbs came from a few days where I ate NO carbs during lunch time. So we're gonna give it a go and I'm excited

Scale said 161.4 today. Yippee:hurray:

I know it seems slow on the scale but there is a distinct difference in your pics. I can really see a difference!! You look great! Keep up the good work!!

Hang in there girly :)

The weight is coming off slow but in all actuality that is good. Remember losing weight is a process, and the longer you keep up these new found good habits, the better off you will be ;)

Funny how you mentioned the no carbs for lunch. I sometimes try to do that with dinner. I eat more carbs during breakfast and lunch, then try to taper them down at dinner time. It works for me, most of the time...

Hey there I LOVE the new pics. Legs and stomach are quite a bit smaller. Just keep doing what your doing. I'm glad that the weight is coming off again.

Have a good day :)

Ok, I just have a second. I'll be back later today

160.6!!!!!!!

I'm updating my ticker yippeee!!!!

edit--I did 20 min on elliptical, and about 15 min circuit training yesterday. I only went 1.25 of a mile. I was sooo tired, I barely made it, but I'm glad I pushed myself. Tonight after my class, DH and I are taking the kids out for a bike ride.

I have my final on Thurs and an interview for my first internship next week. I'm so nervous about the interview.
My DD just started preschool again yesterday, so maybe I'll start going to the gym then [they have a daycare I could drop my 1 year old off while I work out]. I'm excited about this fall. I'll be working as an intern twice a week and have only one class tues nights. It will be sooo nice to not have 20 hours of homework crap to do from taking 12 grad credit hours haha. It'll be like a vacation to just go to work and not school AND tons of homework. Then again, that's what I thought before I got my first job after graduating from undergrad. we'll see

thank you Sam, Amanda, and Ugot. I'm excited. It seems like when I get frustrated, the weight starts falling off in chunks, then I go back to barely losing for a month, then more chunks of weight coming off. Now that I know how my body works, I guess I need to be more patient

Well done on the new low!!

Good luck for your final and strength for your interview! I'm sure you'll do great!

went to the gym today by myself. I worked out my arms, then I did 20 min on the elliptical, then did 15 sit ups and a couple minutes of cycling on my back to get my ab muscles. I'm going tomorrow too. DH might come w/ me and we'll see how the kids do in the gym daycare. I have a feeling we won't get to work out because they'll be crying for us. we won't know unless we try it though. It will be fun to work out w/ my hubby though. I'm pretty excited for that. If Ihave someone w/ me, I go longer, but when I go alone, I let myself do the bare minimum.

we went to the Macaroni Grill today. I had just water and ate 2 slices of bread. MMMMMMM yum. I had salmon. The kids each had a kid's meal, and that comes w/ fudge and ice cream at the end, so DH and I each had 1/2 a serving of the kid's dessert. we were smart[ish?} haha and decided to go around 2 so we could skip dinner but still indulge and not feel hungry. I think my cals are okish, maybe a little over, because I didn't even eat half of my dish and had only Kashi Go Lean Crunch this morning. Hopefully going to the gym even on our day off will cancel some of that out. I want to get this weight off, especially now that people are really noticing and I can wear my "skinny" jeans again.

Congrats on the smart eating out. That is a feat within itself. Good job on going to the gym, and having the hubby come too is a great idea. Looks like you've made your way into the 150's so congrats on that! Keep up the good work, your awesome :)

-Sam

Thanks Sam! We didn't end up going to the gym Sunday. I had a terrible migraine :( I was feeling better today, but had to wait for the UPS guy, so my gym buddy had to go to the gym without me. I ended up doing about 20 min of TurboJam. Then I got bored and stopped :( oh well. Tonight, I was sitting here at the computer and I can totally see definition in my outer arm. It's sweet. I'm getting ripped!!! Now hopefully the fat will go away and I won't get any more muscle in my arm haha

oh and we decided to do the Southbeach, but to start in phase 2. hopefully that will work. We haven't gone grocery shopping yet, but I"m doing it tomorrow.

Can I just say...yesterday was no good! I almost went to Burger King for breakfast, then I changed my mind and backed out of the drive thru! I guess that's a victory. I really wanted a croissant sandwich....I still do, but I'm not caving after my day yesterday.

Bfast--Kix Cereal
Lunch--mac n cheese (not even 1/2 C), roast, peas
dinner--1slice of pizza, nachos (about 6 tortilla chips with cheese, ground turkey)
dessert--about 1/2 c plain m&m's

how horrible! the healthiest thing I had was ground turkey :( I doubt it was over 1300 calories, but it's still not good. I was holding onto water weight today and weighed in at 161 :( I need to drink to flush it out

exercise-
I was a total slacker, didn't go to the gym. I did 50 crunches, and about 10 min of free weights

DH went grocery shopping last night, but all I've eaten so far is a handful of M&M's. Why did I ask him to buy those?!?!? I"m going to make some coffee, clean, and eat a proper breakfast, and no more M&M's!!! what a way to start SB diet :(
