Take 2

You know yourself best, so do whatever you need. You are on track and your workouts are great! Don't worry about not getting a full workout in. If you look at my journal from 2 weeks ago during my TOM, I didn't drag my bloated butt onto the treadmill for an entire week, but I was able to get right back into it after I quit feeling crappy.

Don't move your ticker up, I am sure it's just water weight, everything will seem better next week!:seeya:

thanks funmom. It's killing me because my scale's battery ran out. I need to get a new one asap. Oh well, it's for the best because it's still tom.

This weekend went fine eating wise. On Fri., I ate really low cals because I knew I'd pig out at my in law's house, and I did, but I'm sure my cals were fine. we had chicken casserole and strawberry salad, and pineapple cake. Yum. Then we went swimming in their pool.

Saturday was a bust exercise wise. I was in so much pain. TOM is terrible for me. But I still ate great. Today was good eating wise too, not enough veggies and fruits, but the cals were good. I did stretching, 45 sit ups, leg lifts, arm exercises with weights in the afternoon, then I just got back from an hour bike ride with the family--and I was towing the kids behind me in the bike trailer, so that definitely adds to the difficulty level

Tomorrow, I"m doing Turbo Jam in the morning, and either a bike ride or jog at night. we just stocked up on fruits and veggies, so we're ready to go with healthy foods. I can't wait to do my Turbo Jam tomorrow. I can't believe that just came out of my mouth lol

I just tried on a pair of jeans I was wearing all the time before I got pregnant with my 2nd baby. Yeah....I need to lose about 6 inches before I can button them. But I will get into them again. I will. How depressing though. I didn't even need to do anything to lose the weight after my first baby

Tomorrow, my friend's coming over again and bringing a different work out video. Then it's jogging or biking like normal in the evening. I'm going to increase my veggies and fruits tomorrow

Awesome, your food is sounding really healthy (even with the cookies!) and you're getting in some good exercise. Keep it up!

Oh, and my muscles are a little better today, time to go back to the gym!

Sounds like you have been doing really well. It's so nice that you have a friend who will exercise with you, I bet that really helps with the motivation if you have someone counting on you to work out. You have been eating really well too, good job!

I was going through clothes about a month ago and looked at all my old pre-pregnancy jeans and almost cried. They looked so tiny! I was like damn! and I thought I needed to lose weight than!? It was sad.

My friend came over and brought a Tony Horton XP90 video. It is amazing. I might buy the entire set, it's over 120 but I think worth it.
I am so sore right now. And she's coming over again tomorrow. this weight is going to melt off me! She's such a sweetie, she keeps me going. I should be paying her, she's like a personal trainer. I'm taking a break from the evening exercise. I'm too sore and don't want to push it too much

Well doen, and yeah, your friend sounds like a star... Maybe, as a treat for some short term loss goal you can book her and yourself into a spa for something... a massage or whatever... I'd like THAT from a friend! :p

Wow purple! you are doing awesome with your workouts! I am so impressed. I am going to have to step up my workouts to keep up with you. I think I will go on amazon or craigs list and see if I can get Turbo Jam used, you have inspired me to give it a try.

Your doing great! Your workouts sound awesome. I love it when I feel sore... as weird as that sounds lol. I feel like I got an awesome workout when I feel sore. Surprisingly when I started running after having the baby I was almost sure I was going to be sore since I hadnt ran in 9months. I never got sore once! Whenever I run the bleachers though I get sore. The first time I ran them my thighs were very VERY sore for 4 days and I LOVED IT! lol... This week we ran the bleachers and only my calves are sore.

Your doing awesome keep up the great work!

Thank you to everyone for stopping by! I can't even tell you how much it helps.

Feeling sore is good! I kinda like it too. Funmom, the Turbo Jam is great. It's really kinda fun and dance like. You barely feel like you're working out

My friend and I are going running tonight to change things up Then my hubby and her hubby are going running after us--. Yay. we have to wait until night because it's 112 degrees out, and we have to take turns because we have to take turns watching kids....

That is a great idea Anke, I will surprise her, or maybe her and her hubby with a nice spa gift

OK, time for the pictures.

These were June 2nd

And Today July 2nd
Can you see any difference? DH said my back seems more curvy/defined. So even though the scale isn't budging, I'm hoping my body is looking better and it's going to start coming off soon. I couldn't find the same grey shirt as last month, but the pink one is the same brand/size lol

Thank you Kasey:D

So I just got back from a 2 mile jog/speed walk with my friend. we only jogged 2 street lights because I was going to keel over after walking the first mile. But it took us 25 minutes to walk 2 miles, and that was with stretching before AND after. So we were going fast. I thought I was going to die, but she was there pushing me and cheering me on. She's such a saint, and is is such good shape. She didn't even breathe heavy, and I was panting and my lungs were hurting. UGH I"m so out of shape and was bright as a red lobster when we finished lol. DH started laughing at me [in a good way, then took my picture] I"m so sore from the last 2 days, then today.....But she's coming over tomorrow and we're doing abs and arms. Hopefully they'll be feeling better. Right now everything just hurts. But I am so ready to drop this weight and start looking sexier for my husband  Can't wait to work out again tomorrow, even if it really hurts

I thought the 2 mile walk would be easy since dh and I have been biking 2-4 miles no problem, but I guess not....well I guess when we do go biking we need to push harder to get a better work out

Wow great job with all of your working out! You are doing awesome. Don't worry about the scale right now, you are building muscle and muscle burns fat even when you are resting. Just keep building muscle and the weight will start to come off.

Thanks :waving: It's really starting to irritate me though. I mean I'm doing all this and not losing anything. what am I doing wrong? I want to lose weight so bad. I measure out all my food, haven't had any major slip ups. I mean I know I"m not perfect, but I"ve never gone over an excess amt of cals. I just keep hearing about everyone dropping 10 lbs just from not having soda. I haven't had any soda in 4 weeks. I'm cutting out everything and still nothing's happening :ack2:

Today I did a 35 minute workout with my friend--low impact because I"m horribly sore but I was sweating and felt the burn. we did a "walking workout" in my living room with 3 lb weights. Tonight, DH and I are taking the kids for a minimum of a 4 mile bike ride.

Food--
Breakfast--1 C Special K Cereal
-1/2 C Milk
-I had coffee today but had a smaller cup and put in 2 tbs of creamer

Lunch--Grilled chicken and black beans in a whole wheat tortilla wrap--no cheese, no sour cream or anything, just those ingredients
-1/2 Cup yogurt

Dinner--1/2 C whole wheat spaghetti noodles
-2 TBS spaghetti sauce w/ ground turkey
-1 C salad
-2 tbs red. cal ranch

Snack--
handful of Sunflower seeds
5 baby carrots
--water to drink all day--usually that's all I have, but today I also had 10 OZ of Green Tea, sweetened with 1 teas. of honey

Don't let the scale get to you.... SERIOUSLY. I know how frustrated you are because I went through the exact same thing (I'm sure I've told you this before). Honestly just keep doing what your doing and the weight will eventually fall off. I didn't start losing weight steadily till June and I started working out in March. Thats why taking measurements really helps a lot. TRUST ME the weight WILL come off... you are doing so well.

Also, watch those evil sunflower seeds. Though good for you, VERY VERY high in calories. If you really had a handful (We'll go with a nice pocket size in your palm) thats about 300-400 calories. :willy_nilly:

Do you keep a fitday account? It has helped me alot! What I found out after reading labels also, is that even though all wheat things, like pasta and tortilla shells, are better for you, they are not lower in calories. They do make a low fat tortilla shell that takes those calories from 170 to 89. And you can't even tell the difference in taste! I have not been able to find any kind of pasta that doesn't blow up my diet for the day. So be sure to check your labels and don't assume that because it is healthy it is good for your diet right now.
