I finally got to the gym and I'm so glad I did. I was worried since I had a big protein shake before hand but it went fine. I was low on cals AGAIN today. Man, its just really hard to fit everything into my day. I'll continue to work on it.

This work out was cake. I am very excited at my level of fitness right now. I think I mentioned my best mile time ever is 7:38 and now I'm doing 7:29 paced as part of my workout! My heart rate was 141 after the 8.0 mile. I wanted to go faster but my tread was very loud and annoying.

The bad part about workouts later in the day for me is I always tend to just gravitate towards "whatever" to eat after them. Even if I have a plan I tend to eat off it. I had an egg white omelette (sp?) and some toast. Had I eaten a whole egg one I probably would have made my cals today. oh I had red wine later too but I have no idea cal count for that. I got more energy as the day went on, especially after the gym. Yet here I sit after laying down for 3 hrs trying to sleep. its midnight and sleep will not come.

Today was my long run and I tried super hard to make my 9 miles but I was tired today (whats new) not like physically tired so much, just mentally. Doing 9 miles on a treadmill is BORING. my gosh. I got to like 8.6 and called it quits. just tooooo tired plus I was kinda swerving all over the tread cause I was kinda dehydrated too. dumb dumb dumb

Yesterday I had a great eating day. I made 1600 cals, well actually 1700 cause I was starving right before bed so I had a glass of milk. thats so weird cause that NEVER happens. I woke up with a feeling like I was going to throw up. I was that hungry! jeesh.

I got a bunch of cute clothes yesterday for our trip and my daughter came with. Shes my personal fashion consultant ;) I ended up with some things I might not normally wear due to her good taste. For 7 she's pretty up with it.

Anyway.. blah blah.
I need to get ready and pack and all that. I'm just downing some well deserved grub after that workout.

break: 2 scoop whey, 1 c milk
snack: 1 cup oatmeal, 4 egg whites, 1 egg, 1 sausage link
lunch: 1 large tortilla with chicken, black beans, ff sr cream, salsa and lettuce
snack: 2 scoop whey, 1 cup milk

Vacation was a bust. I hate when it doesn't end up the way you think it should. Everything seemed to be just wrong. ah well.

tomorrow me and my hubby are going to bike the "17 mile drive" in Monterey and do a bon fire on the beach at night. That should be fun....I hope :(

I stuck very close to plan on my time in Tahoe. Only one cheat with a monster waffle ice cream cone that I shared and that was after another big bike ride and hiking, oh yeah and today with a hoagie for lunch. Only ran and lifted once and only for 30 min running, and 30 min lifting. That elevation is terrible-but, good training all the same. Did lots of other recreational stuff to stay active though.

Sad to say, but i'm looking forward to getting back to "real life". Can't win em all!
 
Yeah our last day of "aloneness" went awesome. totally redeemed the other garbage. We took our time getting to the coast and then had a picnic at the wharf and biked the 17mi drive. It was a gorgeous day. Once you go from monterey to Carmel there is no return trip unless you wanna go 17 miles back the way you came. no thank you. so we found a truck route eventually and got back after 4 hours biking. whewee. I'm not sore today or anything but that was quite the workout. We had a really nice time and Stingo is right. All in all it was nice just to escape from "life" for a bit.

I weighed the damage when I got back. 132 :)
I can handle that.

I'll probably be back to running tomorrow. I miss it.
 
Well I'm pretty demotivated this week. I have a billion things (really, I counted!) I need to get caught up on and by the time I'm done doing them I either have no desire, or no time to go to the gym. In my training plan this is a slower week anyway. The mileage and intensity drops a ton just for the week then picks up again so if I were to slack, this is a good week to do it. I have also been way off eating plan. I haven't counted or cared. I'm probably hovering around 1100-1200 which surely isn't ideal. I am still battling an intestinal thing and I may go to the dr soon. Its very strange.

My plan is to run tomorrow so hopefully I'll get to. I still feel very strong. I can tell my muscle in my legs has already gone down in only a week. My legs fit into skinny jeans again. I think I constantly retain water due to my intensity in workouts. Thats my theory anyway; cause I'm way less "puffy" when I don't workout than when I do it daily. However, I do feel more "loose" which is no fun.
Anyway, I'm pretty much a bore these days so I'll pop on when I have something exciting to say. lol
 
I worked out yesterday and was weak weak weak. I only did 30 min of HIIT and I usually do an hour of it with a 10 min slow job in between the two sessions. I could hardly make the 30 min. Then I did a light full body workout and I swear almost all my weights were cut in HALF. I don't know whats wrong with me! I woke up today ok but the minute I had my shake I was back in the bathroom (sorry TMI in this post, i know). I had soccer games all day with 2 of my kids and upon getting home and finally eating something (2pm) It was back to the toidy. I ended up just going to sleep. Its the only time I don't feel totally sick and weak. I feel like I can hardly function. Everything wipes me out. I will most definitely be going to the dr on Monday if I have another day of this tomorrow. that will make 10 days of this. Whats weird is my appetiete isn't gone. I get hungry and WANT to eat but then I just end up feeling extremely sick so its making me not want to eat for that very reason. I can function fine as long as I don't! not good.

Doing much better. Still have minor issues but I was able to do my interval run today without a hitch, even if it was a little slower than normal, and I've actually been back to (almost) full functioning. I'm really low on cals today. mostly cause I'm being very careful with myself and I helped at my daughters school which covered a snack.
