Sparrows Experiment

Well She tomorrow is MONDAY time to regroup and be determined for the week!
Today was busy beyond belief and my menu got messed up when I had to go out to lunch with some friends and their kids. I didn't have to, but you know, I didn't want to be rude. Burger King BLAH.

breakfast: 2 scoops whey, 1 c 2% milk
lunch: burger king grilled chicken salad with 1 T ranch, a few fries
dinner: large chicken salad with bell peps, balsamic dressing, 1 T ranch dressing
I've only had 1000 today but I don't care, its the weekend and I've been good all week with the cals.
This week marks 12 weeks of my diet so I'll post pics again sometime this week. Nothing earth shattering has changed but I'll do it anyway to stay accountable. My last ones I posted thought were at 10 weeks but I was off. Those were 8 weeks. sometimes its feels like I've been doing this forEVER.

Tomorrow is intervals I'm very happy to get to that.

Today has started well. I'll post the day because I know you guys all hang on pins and needles just to see it. lol. j/k. duh.

breakfast: 2 scoop whey, 1 c 1% milk
gym
snack: 1 serving oat bran hot cereal, 1 scoop protein, 2teaspoons natty butter
lunch: 1/2c black beans, 1 can tuna, 3 cups salad mixed with flax and balsamic dressing
snack: 1/2 c cottage cheese, 15 almonds, 1 low carb tort
dinner: 2 eggs, 3 c steamed cauliflower made into "mashed potatoes", 1 T smart balance butter, 1 low carb tort

10 min incline walk cool down
heart rate was 140 on the fast stuff (8.0 and 7.5 repeats) and 120 after recovery runs (6.5). 100 after the incline walk.

First time I've done my intervals with 8.0 as a regular repeat. it was challenging on that 3rd time through. the 7.5 repeats were hecka easy now. I just didn't want to overdo it and do all 6 repeats at 8.0. I think that would have been too much. maybe next week.
 
ugh my plans have been sabatoged again...wait...did I spell that right?! lol i'm a terrible speller, if you haven't noticed by now!
anyway, lunch ended up being on the run so I had to do another shake. it was overdose on that protein powder. I think I've had 5 scoops today! I wanted to puke after that. so anyway, I'm looking forward to a normal dinner. I am very low on everything here and totally rebelling the thought of going to the store to shop with my 3 kids in tow. thats a nightmare. so my protein options are tuna and whey. gross. Anyway, I felt really sick after that shake and too full. I had had 3 meals in 5 hours! Just couldn't get full...but then I got full all at once, and fell asleep. lol. ugh. Monday monday.

Today I took it easy. I overdid it or something on my tri's yesterday cause I could hardly swim so I just did less than normal and called it a day.

Breakfast: 2 scoops whey, 1 cup skim mik 330
gym: legs: leg press, squats, walking lunges, ham curl, calves
2000 swim (80 laps all strokes)
snack: 1 c oatmeal, 2 eggs (300)
lunch: 1 can tuna, 1/2 c black beans, 2 lc tortillas, various veggies
snack: 1/2 cottage cheese, 15 almonds 200
dinner: 1c diced chicken, stir fried veggies in 2 T olive oil 400
bedtime: herbal tea
1500+
I put the plus cause I enevitably always go over at night.
 
Today I strayed but I don't care. I felt I deserved it. Its been a lot of hard work lately. It was almost impossible to stay on plan so I just gave up the harder it got!

ah well. I feel disgusting. my mom came today thats why it was super hard. at least I did my workout the way I was supposed to!
 
Hey but look at it this way, your straying is with eating more food, not less, so i say damn well donw ;).

Looks like a great workout to by the way, your looking great.
 
Well the past few days have been very hard to stick to because my mom was in town. She likes to go out and eat and just have a good time shopping. not that there's anything wrong with shopping :) its just thrown me off a bit. Today she wanted to go to lunch at In and Out Burger and I told her I just really preferred to eat something at home healthier so I did that while my kids and her got in and out. I did sneak some fries, but thats ok. I can afford little bites. I have been terrible with my water the past 2 days. hardly had any.
Anyway, yesterdays cals were just about 1000 and today I'm a bit behind also but I haven't worked out. I am really kinda tired from the week of workouts but I may go swim a little today. I feel totally gross from pizza and popcorn yesterday. very puffy. I tend to get water retained very very easily.
Anyway, I'm boring myself so I'm gonna go. lol
 
ha well I hardly go to the gym without breakfast anymore. I always have a shake of 350 cals before I go, but that day I knew my workout was going to be extra intense. I've never done a mile at 7:10 pace before, and I had a half hour before I was going to the gym that day so I knew eating would be a bad bad decision. The last thing I wanted to be doing was fighting verps. lol. ew TMI, sorry :) I did fine with lots of water. normally yes, I eat.
 
Don't sweat it sparrow, with as much working out that you do, and your eating healthy like 99% of the other time, you can afford a little digression now and again. You've earned it. In other words - don't be "That Girl" - the one that is always in training and never has any fun. Everything in moderation, including training.

That rockin' bod ya got going on is justification enough - you've no need of it from anyone else.
 
wow sparrow, your diet and workout looks great. keep up the good work and don't be hard on yourself. you deserved that little break for all your hard work.
