Skyler's new diary

Ok. So, I went out today and bought protein powder that is chocolate/peanut butter flavored..sounds yummy actually and this will help add some calories and make sure i am around 1250-1300. Also, got a fat metabolizer and a pedometer (so i can race Paula).

i went back some here, and couldnt find it, but, how much cardio do you do each day? your eating is fine, but I am kinda wondering about the heart pumpin and sweatin

Good morning all!!! TGIF!!!!!!!

kate - cardio - 4x a week (either running or elliptical, incorporating HIIT (your suggestion totally helped!), changing duration (40-60 min) and programs/intensity/hills regularly...plus 2 days of pilates ( which is more cardio than most think ) and try to walk as much as possible.

Just bot a pedometer too and Paula and I are havinga little friendly race ;)...as well as Dana (when she gets her butt over to the store to buy one!).

NTL - paula recommended the fat metabolizer...apparently it is a supplement that will help increase metabolism (hopefully!?). I dont question paula, i just obey ;).

Weighed in at 138 (so i lost 1 lb officially )- i'm sorry, Paula, I didn't ignore the scale - but i did think of you when i headed for it...sorry!!!! it calls my name..it is terrible. i hate them. OFFICIALLY. HATE.

Today is my off day of exercise. Last nights pilates class was awesome. I just love that place. I calculated all my calories yesterday and htought i was at 1250 w/ my dinner and then i checked sparkpeople.com (now using htat vs. fitday) and i only came up at 1100. YIKES. I'll make up for it tonight with a few cocktails :).

I am glad I bought the protein powder as I think it will definitely help increase the calories that I can't manage to get in with food...

S

EDIT: today is day 1 of pedometer, weigh 139 and day 1 of fat metabolizers...

Morning girl!!! :) Congratulations on the one pound lost. <Insert Dance of Joy Here> WOO HOOO! :D

TGIF! So you're doing fab. No more fussing about tha tscale, besides it went DOWN today. I can't wait to hear your results with the protein powder etc. I only WISH my problem was inability to fit in enough calories. :) Trade ya..haha! Keep up the fabulous work.

I'm off to buy my pedometer today..

come on dana...you know i'm gonna fuss anyways...i just cant help it!!!!

until paula comes up with that patience in a bottle to buy..i'm can't guarantee a positive attitude always...but i can try..i'll give you that much!

Awesome job! A lb lost! Whoo-hoo! You see??? Things are working for you!!! You just need to believe it when scale cannot tell you that.

You should post here your steps on pedometer every day. :)

The pedometer is very interesting to me as I've never worn one but have been curious about it. I have a desk job so it will be interesting to see what the average is (w/o thinking about) as I am going to do today and through the weekned...and then step it up (literally) to try to get to 10,000 each day...i'm curious as to what my amount truly is - surely it is NOT that high, so we'll see...and learn....and yes, i'll keep yall posted (as i kick Paula's butt!)

Sigh.. can't even get you to stop fussin.. AGHHH!!! :D Just messin with ya. Hey, I post a lot of upbeat stuff, but doesn't mean I don't still whine about how my clothes fit etc. ;)

The pedometer will be interested. I too have a desk job and am very curious to see what our steps compare at. Except unfortunately, I won't have mine until thsi afternoon!! :) Whenever I get my butt out to buy it ;)

so youve lost an official twenty pounds all together! that is fantastic! especially with all those stupid plateaus and all. YOU are one to be admired because so so many people would have thrown in the towel by now. not you! you stick to your guns and you try and try and try and to ME your pound lost is an incredible deal! a BIG deal! it keeps my own hopes up because it reminds me that if YOU can do this, so can I, and so can all of us!

perseverance, thats your beautiful quality, girl. Keep up the hard work, cause we are also counting on you!

kate, you are too sweet. funny b/c growing up my dad always said you have nothing if you dont have perserverence and determination....

dont know if you know the quote, but i carry it around with me:

by: Calvin Coolidge

"Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent."

that is the truth! :D

How true.. :) You guys are so smart!! Keep up the wonderful work Sarah..and if nothing else..remember. TGIF!
