sorry guys, my computer at home is busted right now (or the internet connection is) so i am mia until they fix it in the evenings or weekends...

so, lets see..went out friday night and had too much wine...calories still came in at 1200 as i forgot to eat dinner..yup, not the most healthy of days.

saturday, i went out to eat with the family but it was good b/c i had pilates in the am, walked the dogs, etc..drank lots of water and ended up at about 1300 calories

sunday was the laziest day that i can remember!! literally, that bad. i just couldnt leave my house..i cleaned the entire place though, includng the back yard (yuck!) and ended up watching a movie and doing NOTHING. oh well....

back to the drawing board today....pedometer is on (had to get a new one as i washed it yesterday!! - oops!) so a slow start but i'm off to race paula!!

we'll keep you posted..

Morning girl!! Sorry about the washing of the pedometer.. I hear it helps to take those off prior to doing laundry!! ;)

Anyhow you're really doing great! You can always chock up the wine to a cheat night. ;) Keep it up!! Left my own pedometer at home today, so you really are just challening Paula!! :)

hmm, guess i should have known to not wash it, but good thing i only bot the $4 one!! he he he
 
Oh no mine didn't go in the wash, its currently sitting on my coffee table. I just was SO tired this morning had no mind to pick it up!

NTL: I only paid $12 for mine.. but there was one at Target for $6 too I think! Is that pic of your horse? cute!
 
Skyler, you're lucky your pedometer will stay on that well!! Mine was always falling off, so I had to put a safety strap on it. lol. I must admit, I really have enjoyed using my pedometer. Its great to actually see how we are doing activity wise during the day. What was surprising to me though, was how often I thought I walked more than I actually did. I remember the first time I wore it grocery shopping, and was shocked how few steps I actually took!

Ps. Love the name Neigh for the horse. How cute! My daughter was allowed to name one of her grandparents baby horses and she chose the name Cocolaylee. What kind of name is that??? lol. Guess thats what happens when a five year old is in charge of naming!! :)
 
Yeah they don't need to be expensive at all....
And it is crazy to see how little steps we actually take. I have three kids and I figured I took a lot of steps but actually I only averaged about 3000 a day! :(
Cocolaylee? That actually sounds like a blend of my kids' names. My son's name is Courtland but we call him CoCo sometimes and my daughter's name is Shailee... Cocolaylee... that's cute! ;)

yeah, i'm realizing (which i pretty much knew already with a desk job) that i dont move nearly as much as i should or need to - it is kind of depressing - i wish i was always moving...how easy would that be?!?!!! grrrrrr.

we'll see how it goes..

11 weeks til June weddings....

WOW. I remember getting engaged (april 2005) like it was yesterday and now I have 11 weeks...YIKES!!!!!!

My plan for the next 11 weeks...NO EXCUSES...

monday/tuesday/wednesday/sunday - cardio - running or elliptical for 45-60 minutes and alternate intensity, incorporate HIIT, and change programs
tuesday/thursday/saturday - circuit weight training with band/swiss ball
thursday/saturday - pilates
friday - OFF

*take my calcium and multivitamins daily
*take the fat metabolizers (ripped fuel - 4 daily)
*water intake from 64 oz/day to 96 oz/day
*take 10,000 steps daily
*eat 1250-1300 calories
*walk the dogs!! 20 minutes at minimum / day
*arm exercises daily /pushups/miniweight balls

anybody else have any insight to kickstart my metabolism into high gear, i'm all ears!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks.....:cool:

Skyler, sounds like you have a great plan!

That' the reason I don't want to buy a pedometer. I don't want to know how few steps I take daily. I KNOW it is very few, and I know that I basically lead sedantary lifestyle, so I don't want to rub it in. I kind of don't want to know how badly I'm doing, all I want to know is how to change that. :)
 
i hear you, NTL, but at the same time, it is like facing a fear....i know i dont walk enough and move enough even wtih the cardio i do - so this will truly show me in real number terms that i have to re-organize my life so that i am moving more....i cant be trapped in this desk job mentality and 'it is this way just b/c it is' any more...no more of that. i'm embracing change and challenge and learning and growing inside, while i get myself slimmer and stronger outside.

Skyler, that plan sounds awesome!! I think I will use you for inspiration. I've got only 10 weeks left, so.. I could use that extra week and I already blew one.. so keep up the good work girl.. ya got me depending on ya.. hahaha :D
 
oy! now, i am truly accountable for my daily actions....now i need to find the more hours in the day...they are there..i just need to find them!!!
 
Hahha.. you can do it Sarah you can do it!! :) Don't forget, I do that weight loss dance for you lol!! :) Y'know.. maybe as a reward I will do al ittle short video of my "dance" for you, and post it! :) That will surely give you tons of laughs!
