Happy St. Patty's Day to all!!!

Good morning. Let's see, I weighed in at 138.5 (and feel like i've been eating a lot - calories are 1250 ish, but it is different with even 200 calories) so I'm happy there. I'm not changing my ticker until I see a full pound go away though! :)

My ankle is okay. Iffy, i guess. yesterday I spent the whole day w/o the aircast and it was okay - swollen by the end of the day. I had pilates last night and had to be careful but got in a great exercise which was good. Today it is a little sore, but nothing I can't handle!

Tonight I am headed to Vegas for my bachelorette party! :D I am very excited. It is me and 3/4 of my bridesmaids. Let's say the diet might get thrown out the window this weekend...obviously going to try not to binge and go nuts, but I'm going to have FUN.

Q for yall - i know i am getting the girls presents to be in the wedding, but do you think I should get them something for going to vegas and spending the weekend?? If so, any ideas? (thanks)

Hi, Skyler, I'm happy your anckle is better. Am a little worried about it being swallen again - that means you're not icing enough and you're not keeping elevated as well as it should. I think you should bring aircast and wear it when you can, as well as keep it elevated/ice.

Great on Pilates, I'm glad you're able to do that even with the ankle. HAVE FUN in VEGAS!!!
As far as bridesmades - if they are spending a lot of money to be with you in Vegas, I think giving them something would be a nice gesture. I don't know all the right wedding etiquette tho...
 
i know, ntl, you are right. i havent been icing as much as i should hte past two days and that is why it swelled again. i brought my aircast with me and i put it on today. i also brought ziplocs so i can ice it in the hotel room. what a mess!! :rolleyes: oh well.

Good idea! Sounds like you have everything you need then. :)

BTW, congrats on 1/2 lb loss! The important thing is that it is moving down, so I think your calorie increase is working!

hey girls!! I'm back. Wow, Vegas is something else. Everytime I go, I am more amazed by the amount of craziness there. We had a great time. Spent it with 3 of my best friends and really had so much fun. The diet went out the window, and the alcohol was insane. So, needlesstosay, I am back on the wagon today. It was interesting though b/c I was SO thirsty for water the whole time...i guess b/c I am used to drinking so much of it these days...

Ankle is okay. I am wearing the aircast again b/c thursday (w/o it) it was swollen again, so I brought it and wore it and I think I am close to recovery. I hope so!!

Otherwise, feeling beyond exhausted from the trip and trying to get back to reality. I did write down everything I ate and funny enough over 3 days, I averaged 1300 calories (i had one day of barely anything and one day of total pig out!!). I'm ready ot get back to a regular schedule again for sure!!

Unfortunately, it is 12.45pm here and I have been so busy that all i've had all day are 2 eggs. Yikes. Gotta start eating more!!

How's the diet going? Are you getting enough calories and allowing yourself a cheat day? What about training? And how are YOU in general? Get in here and post! :D
 
sorry yall...i was not totally computer accessible yesterday due to a funeral i had to attend...

The diet is going okay. i am having problems getting all my calories in and that worries me. For example, the other day, i got so busy, i clocked in at 1000, so yesterday, i had 1500 to make up for it - is that still confusing my body??????

My ankle is much better. i was able to do 45 minutes painless on the elliptical yesterday so i am happy about that. tonight will be weights and shorter cardio.

In general - i'm okay. I'm stuck at 139, but its not the number that matters ;). Okay, it kind of does. People are saying I look slimmer, but I am dying for "cut" arms for the dress....ugh..

Life has been hectic and depressing due to family drama but overall, i'm hanging in there...I'm finding the exercise helping, so that is very positive. However, I do think i am stuck again. I need to go to the grocery so I can get back on Paula's diet perfectly...

i have no eggs...and need more protein sources..

so, that's that....nothing major, just cant believe i have 11 weeks to my wedding & i feel like i have a lot to do (physically).

You have tons of time! :) I love the great feeling you get from exercising too, I'm having some problems with my family also and it does help to get active. My problem is that I can't get enough protein sources during the day - it's so hard to diet on a student budget! hehe.. but I think you are doing awesome, don't get down on yourself because you're got lots of time and you can do this girl! Hope today treats you well m'dear - I wish you the best :)
 
Skyler, take a deep breath. Don't let yourself stress out. Stress is a number one killer of festivities and enjoyment. I was also stressed out about my wedding, but things will turn out ok. All the little things that seem really important now won't matter that much once the event is over. Things will never be perfect, something will always go wrong, so you need to relax, accept it, and concentrate on ENJOYING THE MOMENT!
11 weeks is still a good amount of time. I think you need to up the calories by upping protein, and keep us your routine of building muscle. The little number does not matter, all that matters is inches lost!!!
