Rubber_duckie diary

Have changed my birthday goal to 30th Spetember as thats when I am having my party and main celebrations. Not sure if that amount of weight loss is doable but i'll give it my best shot and hopefully I can lose at least some of it :)
 
Had a fairly good day today, feeling good about getting back into the diet routine although I have been feeling quite hungry. Been trying to replace the hunger pangs with water, and I had breakfast this morning which I thought was an achievement.

Breakfast
Cereal (113 calories)
Non-fat milk (68 calories)
Earl grey tea (0 calories)

Lunch
Green olives and feta salad (200 calories)
Strawberries (56 calories)

Dinner
Chicken pasta bake (415 calories)
Mixed farmhouse vegetables (100 calories)

Snacks
2 dried fruit bars (82 calories)

Total = 1034 calories (166 for evening snack)
 
Just to own up - I had 3 cans of diet coke today - eek. Had really bad cravings for something sweet so went for the coke. Thinking I should have really tried some fruit but whats done is done now!
 
nothing wrong with diet coke, it has less calories than the fruit lol :D

i would expect you peed yourself silly with that much caffiene though being a duretic!

LOL :) its true I spent most of the evening running up and down to the toilet - does that count as exercise? :)

I know its tempting as hell to go lower and pretty easy to do, but its not worth it in the long run and doesnt teach you healthy eating really either i suppose lol.

Ahh I call it the 'pee yourself silly' diet!
When im having a downer day i drink 3 cups of coffee in the morning and loose a couple lb in water weight overnight to make myself feel happy!
Of course i have to drink a fair bit of water to make it up - but its a great way to get past some silly mental issues! and get out of doing half my work because im in the toilet most of the day!

Had one can of diet coke so far today, but I couldn't resist the free tea and coffee they were handing out at the morning meeting (the perks of being a medical student!) so will be peeing again all day! Doing well food wise and the cravings have got less and less since the beginning of the week.

Done 3 miles of walking aswell, decided that it is so difficult to find a parking space at the hospital that I park at the local supermarket and walk, its a 3 mile round trip so that is adding to my exercise total. Still not feeling up to much more after being on my feet all day, but I am sure I can make up for it over the weekend

Boiled potatoes (144 calories)
Mixed farmhouse vegetables (100 calories)
Mature cheddar cheese (200 calories)

2 dried fruit bars (82 calories)
3 tea/coffee with non-fat milk (20 calories)
1 can diet coke (2 calories)

Total = 1004 calories (196 for evening snack)

Now I have added it up, it doesn't look too bad! Still enough calories for my evening bowl of cereal - brilliant.
 
I jumped on the scales this morning (should have waited till my weight in day of monday - eek) and have lost 4 pounds. Really pleased because that puts me not far off where I left when I fell off the wagon, feels great to be back into losing weight and am hoping this 4 pounds will give me a big push for my birthday challenge. Feeling really good about everything today!

There is exactly 29 days (4 weeks 1 day) till my party/birthday!

Great job on your 4 lbs!!! I'm so happy for you and a weee bit jealous!! You are on fire heading towards your birthday goal 1/3 of the way there!! Yipeeee!!:)

I am really excited about the weight loss at the moment and am giving it 110% to reach my goal. I know I can do it! Good calories again yesterday and a 2 mile walk for exercise. Need to start doing a bit more cardio intensive stuff so am trying to incorporate that into my day.

Been a tough day, for some reason I have more cravings on a Saturday. Might be to do with the fact that I tend not to do that much and watch a fair bit of TV! Managed to hold back though so really pleased with myself. Also had an interview and have got a voluntary job for Saturdays working for a childrens charity - all in all a successfull day!

2 Low fat leek sausages (250 calories)
Mashed potato (145 calories)
Mixed vegetables (100 calories)

Total = 970 calories (230 spare for TV snacks this evening)

Decided to weight in Sunday mornings because Monday morning is always a bit hectic! Don't expect much of a weight loss since Wednesdays weigh in but just want to get into the weighing once a week routine.
