RJ's Diary

thanks :)

I got my bodyfat below 15 for a couple of days. past two days i have been eating a little too much tho :) back on track tommorrow

Kick ass job!

How are you measuring your BF%?

Whats up Matt? thanks for the kudos, I'm using an omron handheld bf% measurer. Love the little tool man its awesome. last time i was in the 170's i was in the mid 15's, this time around im in the low 14's. so i think a little lean mass made it on me during my off time :) Without this tool, I wouldnt have the extra data to motivate me. very worth the small investment

Wow... I'm not even going to the gym

Its all in the diet :) I haven't really been inputting my activity so those numbers are obviously off. intake is mostly on except for cheat days.

I haven't been to the gym since i started this program, but I have been moving an awful lot more tho. I'm always doing something, I have recently taken to other physical activities such as rock climbing, which turned into me wanting to climb everything. I started walking more, and running a little bit.

It goes a little something like this...
I alternate daily between "strength days" and "endurance days"

Strength Days.
Am - Deck of cards workout my own personal design, that has left out two important factors, which i need to make sure i address with supplemental training.

PM - Rock Climbing Gym after work approx 30 mins

Endurance days.
Am - walking, with bouts of jogging/running approx 50 mins
*Every other endurance day includes running up and down the sides of the wash

PM - walk 45-60 mins

Strength training comes from a body weight training via a deck of cards. throughout my morning as i do yard work, or house work.

Driving to my gym takes nearly 20 mins each way. which is 40 whole mins, of low activity. not to mention wasting gas. So.. I simply walk through my neighborhood to a nice walking path next to a wash to expend some energy.

None of this seems like exercise to me... its not something I "have" to do. Its everything that I enjoy doing. And everything I do transfers over to the other activities :)

Wow! I apologize if I have never complimented you on your weight loss. I would like to see some photos. You are quite the fighter to lose so much and you are still going! Great job!!! :coolgleamA:

Fluctuations

Yesterday was mothers day. For some reason, I love to just ravage the snacks, and food on family gatherings.

I started the day off at 165.8 (The lowest I've been thus far )

Breakfast 4 scrambled eggs

Knowing, I was going to be taking in a lot of energy I woke up early and headed to the gym in effort to earn the amazing amount of calories, I was no doubt going to devour.

It was pretty informal training. Just hitting a few things I haven't been hitting using bodyweight routines/ or climbing ( took a break from lifting for a month or two)
15 min warm up on stairs
5 sets of Cable rows
5 sets of front squats
5 sets BB OH Press

30 on stairs
10 on rowing
30 on crossramp

I think I had burned 1500 calories before noon even

Post work out shake 320 cals

Then the carnage began.

I woke up bloody and naked with evidence of having slaughtered 5 beers, a can of almonds, 2 big slices of lasagna, and a nice big piece of strawberry jello cake.

Activities included, playing tag with my 5 year old cousin, and playing some wii sports with the fam.

The result

168.8

Not a bad peak for a day like that :)

Now sticking with my plan. I follow up up re-feeds like that with Lowered carbs and calories (if you lower carbs, the calories go down pretty low naturally) So By friday I should reach a new low, how low will depend on if we do wing night on tuesday :)

Wow, incredible job, congratulations, all your hard work has definately paid off. I am just starting and needed some inspiration. I am glad I looked.
