Hi Risty; I looked at your pictures and you look great. You're so pretty!! Hilarious about the candle in the front and the one of your bum SWIMMING in your jeans. You are doing incredibly well and I know you're going to take it all the way.

P.S. I hate cottage cheese too.
 
Well, today I had a pretty crappy day at work. The people I worked with were getting on my case, the patients were getting mad that we were booking so far in advance, even a couple receptionists were EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional to me (one even sweared) because I didn't have something "soon" enough. I didn't get a lot of sleep last night so I was NOT in the mood to have people treat me that way. I was so angry and aggitated by lunch I just HAD to go for a walk. Now since I started my CK and UBC program I haven't walked at lunch because it's a lot of exercise just doing the program. But, today was so horrible, I just had to go for a walk (and I brisk one) just to relieve my stress and anger and it worked great! Unfortunately the afternoon was just as horrible as the morning and made me angry all over again, but then I had my resistance training class tonight and I feel good once again :D I know that exercise helps me feel better when I'm stressed or angry and it works so much better than doing nothing, watching tv, or eating.

OH, and some good news, I was doing the short tube exercises today with the red band (like always) and it was now way too easy so I get to increase it to blue next time, WOO!

Hey Llama, I totally agree that it's encouraging to see that others go through the same problems and understand! It helps me feel like I'm not alone and I really can push forward!

Hey Jogger, thanks for posting in my diary :) Yeah, I'm kinda glad my expectations were so high, cause now I don't even want one at all because it wasn't that great :D

2Skinny thank you so much for the compliments. Yeah the bum pic and candle pic are so funny! I couldn't even believe it when I saw the bum pic... I was like man and my ass used to fill those!

Good for you for getting out and getting that walk - I agree, it is such a stress reliever!

Sorry to hear you had a bad day at work. The walk was a brilliant idea - it may have been even worse if you hadn't gone for the walk. You got a chance to de-stress before coming back and carrying on. I tend to do the same during my lunch breaks, not just to de-stress, but also to show people that I can ignore their e-mails and endless tasks and just go off and do my own thing, at least for that hour. I think it's empowering.

I don't understand all this talk of blizzard. To be honest I don't want to know what it is in case I begin to crave it too!
 
Let's hope today isa better day -but I don't have a lot of faith - i'm convinced the majority of the planet is just o the rag this week - and has acase of the grumps :)

I'm going to start a campaign to bring back tar and feathering for people who's crime is annoying someone else... but it will be tar and feathering 21st century style... Imagine that person being dunked in a vat of hot wax - and having helga the hot waxer, fresh off the boat from Minsk.. putting cloth strips all over them, twisting their bodies into ways bodies don't ordnarily go and RRRRIIIIIIIPPP !! Ahhhh good therapy :D

i had a blizzard last night too!! heh strawberry cheesequake. i ate really good yesterday, so even with the blizzard i was still above my defecit goal!
 
So I finally decided that yes, after two weeks of craving this stupid blizzard I was gonna have one. So my bf and I went to DQ and it was sold out!!! So we went to a diff DQ for it. We ate supper there too, then had the kit kat blizzard after, SO BAD! However, him and I did split a blizzard, so at least I didn't have one to myself. About the blizzard, I would rather eat a kit kat alone. The blizzard was good, but when the chocolate gets cold like that it's not as soft... or something. So yes, it was tasty and I don't ever need to have it again, thank god that's over, lol.

i tried the kit kat one, but i wasn't crazy about it, because i don't like cold chocolate. my new favorite one is the mint oreo blizzard!!! love it!!!

Today was a better day at work, I got to do the slack shift, woo! Unfortunately it was secretaries day and so we got pizza, and I ate my fill let me tell you :p I just can't resist pizza! :p On top of that I didn't go to CK today either, I'm gonna go to the sunday one instead. I'm beat tired and my legs are so sore from the lower body resistance class yesterday, lol. So I'm not skipping a day, I'm just taking a diff day off this week, lol.

Hey Rho I did explain blizzards up above somewhere, probably on the previous page... lets just say soft ice cream and whatever candy you want, all mixed into one. And it doesn't have to be candy, it can be cookie dough, brownie chunks, etc etc. LOL, now ya know!

Daisee, I totally agree with the whole cold chocolate thing, it just takes away from it, that's why I didn't care for the kit kat one, or the recess one either. The only one I would get that's actually a chocolate bar is crispy crunch because the chocolate layer is such a thin one, it doesn't get affected like the others, lol. I loved getting the cookie dough/brownie chunks one, that was soo good.

you can google them! i found the calories for a small mint oreo, and i think it was somewhere around 500.

yeah, i don't like cold chocolate at all! :)

have you ever tried coldstone creamery? it is AMAZING!!!
 
the dairy queen site actually has the nutrition info. Its nice when places actually have it. makes me less likely to avoid it.
 
Thanks Daisee and RJ. It's good to know of places where you can actually find calories for what you're going to be eating. Makes thing a lot easier and it helps you know what you're in for ;) lol.

haha no I meant that I didn't like the texture of cottage cheese, sorry for the confusion. I do like smoothies, very much so actually. I just got finished posting the disaster I've created in the past few days in my diary so I have to say that I'm not a positive person at the moment. You do amaze me. You are positive and motivated, and you're doing really really well. It is always inspiring but at the moment I'm just in awe! Your workout regimen is fantastic but I have to leave your diary right now because you guys have been discussing ice cream blizzards and such and I cannot observe any more temptation. Have a good night :)

Hi Risty!! :) Seems I picked a good night to pop in your diary. All this talk about pizza and blizzards, MMMMM my kind of people! :cool: I can truthfully say it's been a few years since I have had a blizzard, not because of calories or anything like that, they just closed all the DQ's down in my neck of the woods. :mad: Now, they have these Marble slabs instead. My favorite place to go is Rusty's frozen custard. MMMM they have low calorie/low fat and I don't feel so bad if I have one every now and then. I hope your doing well, and I wish you much success in your weight loss ventures. I'll be stopping by to check in. ;)

As you all know, I do my CK 3 days a week and my resistance 3 days a week, yet I need more cardio. I was doing cardio at least 5 days a week, so I'm going to start doing more cardio. I'm still stuck at 167 so I need to add a lil' somethin. I'm sure I gained muscle, but I still feel I need more cardio. So for the first time ever *drum roll* I'm getting up early to go for a run with my lil' sister! She can't run much either and has always wanted to learn to run well, and I've always wanted to learn to run well plus it'll help me with my weight loss! SO WOO! I'm scared and it's gonna hurt, but I can't wait.

Hey Rho, you're not the only one facing disaster, I described mine on your diary. I didn't go into the full length of it in my own, I know I'm bad! Basically I did mention I had 3 pieces of pizza but that wasn't it, I forgot to mention the ice tea and the cinnastix (which counts as a cinnamon bun with the amount I ate) so that was a HORRIBLE but tasty lunch. Plus now today they give me leftovers. So I vowed to not eat it all in one night, only had one piece tonight, and I'll eat the other 2 tom.... so 2 meals instead of 1, still bad, but better.

Congrats on the running! I started to do that but running in 100 degree weather is not my cup of tea. So I just do my bike!

Congrats! Every time I look at your ticker I get sad and wish I lost that much too! how long again did it take you to lose 49lbs?
