Risty's Diary (Christina)

Hey Risty :)

Boxer skipping takes some serious fitness! I have no doubt you'll get there though :D

Hey Risty and everyone else,

Hope you're cool.

I don't mind losing the boobs. I've had these big bazonkas all my life and it'll be nice to be able to jump and run without thinking of them. :D It'll be easier buying tops anyway, not having to make sure they're V-necked and this and that...all the camouflage a bigger person has to go through just to get normal clothes is tiring!

Well done on your CK class - I've got cardio today and I'm not looking forward to it.:(

Hey Cerella! Hope you'll get some spare time soon! :)

M2M it totally does. I really hope to be able to do it for a full class (well almost a full class, you don't boxer skip while you're punching, but you do it while your partner does and while the instructer gives instructions....basically you're doing it when you're not doing anything else, lol). It'll be such an achievement once I can!

Rho, I've never had HUGE boobs ever so I wouldn't know what it's like. The biggest I've ever had was a C and that's at my heaviest, so yeah... I don't wanna lose too much. And I know how much of a horror cardio can be, just get through it and you'll feel awesome after for doing it!

I wasn't feeling very well today, I woke up (at 6am  )with a bad headache , head felt really weird and I was dizzy. I felt like that ALL morning, so I didn't go to my 4 hour work shift (which started at 1pm). Finally the dizziness went away at about 4pm or so, so I did go to my lower body class at 6:30. I didn't feel so good still, but at least the dizziness was gone and I made it through the class (barely). I'm glad I went though!

OH, and right now I'm having a mango and strawberry smoothie made with vanilla protein powder. SOOOO GOOD! Who needs a blizzard now! Not me!! (I was craving one, but not anymore... lol).

 Im sorry I just didnt realize how late it was - it is my thought that counts...good for you on no blizzard and a smoothy instead !!! :D ;)

Even though I don't really like smoothies, I have to say yours sounds YUM!

I hope you're feeling better - do you have any idea why you were feeling dizzy?

About zee boobies, hmmnn, I'm currently a G cup (yep, I said it, a 36G). If I could get down to a C I would be the happiest girl in the world!

I got through the cardio! It was great! I had to really push myself but I feel better for it, just as you said..

i add a tablespoon of natural peanut butter to my vanilla protein shake, and it tastes like a reeses blizzard!

Hi Risty

I miss a couple of days of your diary, and now I'm totally behind! First I'd like to address the boobs discussion. I was always a small b cup and I was so unhappy with that (cause I'm pear-shaped ya know) and I felt my body was imbalanced, but now that I have these massive boobs, frankly I just wish they'd go away. My definition of beauty has been obliterated and reworked in the most refreshing way, I no longer crave that generic blonde big breasts orange tan :vomit: I think small breasts are beautiful and you're absolutely right, the most attractive thing about a women is her health and on top of that self-confidence, which directly correlates to her level of fitness-also applies to guys. When you feel healthy, you feel happy, and that is what beautiful is. I cannot wait to lose the boobs and fit into all those shirts that only small-breasted women can rock.

Whoever mentioned Beatrix Kiddo, that's awesome! I love it! That's reason enough to start the kickboxing routine, she's so amazing. I'm sorry about your poor knuckles though :(

My mom has always tried getting me into cottage cheese, she swears by it. I just don't enjoy the texture or smell and that's so important, I'm happy you're not forcing yourself to eat it. Everyone else mentioned really great alternatives, and your smoothie sounds amazing, makes me want to go out a pick up a blender and yummy ingredients too. I was craving chocolate SO FREAKIN BADLY yesterday so today I went out and picked up blueberries and raspberries and some light whipped cream. Can't wait to indulge! Well I just wanted to say thank you for helping me through my little rough patch and you're doing so great, it's reinforced my little spurt of positivity. (is that a word?) Well you're fantastic, hope you had a nice day aside from the bad headache, I hope you're feeling better ;)

Well Rho, I don't blame you for wanting to lose your boobs at all! I was always a small B before I gained my weight, so when I did gain weight and became a C I was like WOO! Cause a C I think is an awesome size, so that's why I don't want to lose too much. Lukewarm, I can understand the whole small B thing, like I mentioned above, I've never been massive though so I don't know what that's like. I never wanted to be massive either, I just want a good size and I think a C is a good size. When both of you lose the weight, you'll be around there and you'll be so happy. I had a friend who was at least a G and she had to have a reduction because it was painful for her back (she wasn't an overweight girl, just VERY top heavy.. poor her) so I've seen what she's been through and I'm glad my boobs never got that big.

Hey Lukewarm, why don't you like smoothies? I find it hard to imagine someone not liking them! You can make so many different kinds, different thicknesses and all that. I like mine really thick like a milkshake! The one with the mango's, strawberries and protein shake (with water) it was thick like that, which was awesome! That's one reason I like using frozen fruit, the smoothie is awesomely cold and it keeps it's thickness. However, if you don't like thick you can add more water, juice, anything! There's so much you can do!

Speaking of Beatrix Kiddo, I so bought Kill Bill 1 and 2 just recently. I've been meaning to buy it forever and finally got around to it. I just LOVE it. I love anything with martial arts or anime, and this had both! At least the first one had some anime, lol. But yeah, once I get more in shape I think I'll join up for Kung Fu at the place I'm doing my UBC program at now. I used to take Kung Fu when I was a kid, and I loved it so I would love to get back into it and learn stuff! YEAH!

OH!! And during my upper body workout today, we were doing our chest first and as I was doing the exercise I was thinking to myself, man, this seems harder today! I must have no energy or something. At the end of each muscle group we write down the resistance we used, how many reps we did, and how hard we tried at them and when I looked in the book ... I realized I grabbed the wrong band! I grabbed the red instead of the green (green is easier)... no wonder it was harder!!!! BUT I did it, and so I'll be sticking to red for the chest ones from now on!

Good for you with the higher resistance band...Oh and I dont like smoothies eother - LOL...Hope your weekend is going well and Im looking forward to talking to you soon

Hey Cerella, smoothies rule! Just buggin ya, lol. I hope you're having a good weekend too.

Hey Sophie, I do a combination of cardio kickboxing (on mon, weds and fri) and then we do resistance training with bands (on tues, thurs and sat) in which we alternate working out upper body and lower body. Sunday is our rest day in which we don't exercise and don't have to monitor our eating. The other 6 days we have to monitor our eating though and get so many carbs, proteins and veggies a day. I really like that program, and it's a 10 week program. After the 10 week program I just have the cardio kickboxing part which I will supplement with the gym for more cardio and weight training. In our program we get weighed, measured and have a flexibility test, push up test and sit up test at the beginning, middle and end of the program to see how far you've come. The middle stuff is in May sometime, so I'm excited to see the results :D However since I started late, I got my tests and stuff done late, so I might have already improved some by that time, but that's ok.

Like I said today is our eat what ya want kinda cheat day thing which I really wanna get a blizzard however last night I had a crappy supper. Huge portion of lasagna, garlic cheesy finger and a piece of garlic toast :O That could have fed 2 normal eating people :p So I kinda feel like I don't deserve the blizzard, but man do I want it, I've been wanting it for ... I think... 2 weeks now, lol.

It sounds like an intense program Risty! I can't wait to see your results :D

As for the blizzard, I say, go for it ;)

So I finally decided that yes, after two weeks of craving this stupid blizzard I was gonna have one. So my bf and I went to DQ and it was sold out!!! So we went to a diff DQ for it. We ate supper there too, then had the kit kat blizzard after, SO BAD! However, him and I did split a blizzard, so at least I didn't have one to myself. About the blizzard, I would rather eat a kit kat alone. The blizzard was good, but when the chocolate gets cold like that it's not as soft... or something. So yes, it was tasty and I don't ever need to have it again, thank god that's over, lol.

Sometimes I think the worst part is the build up in our minds when we start deciding we WANT something!

Good for you for splitting it and getting it out of your system!

what on earth is a Blizzard? im guessing something like a sundae?

Sounds yum, i havnt had any cheat days in 9 months :O
I think i might arrange for a 'maintaince' day where i eat what calories i use lol - effectivly a cheat day, only without the guilt! :D

I felt the same way - I only ate 1/4 of mine - that was what I got as well and it just didnt seem right...the chunks of chocolate and the icecream itself wasnt satisfing...the chunks threw me - I prefer the oreo one...but I had it and that was it - I dont need to have it agian...Isnt it so true what they say abt great minds :):):)

Hey Risty,
first of all: you are doing amazing and your pictures are beautiful, you look thin and beautiful already, I can't imagine when you lost the rest!
And second of all: what is a blizzard?? I want one!!!!! No just kidding, I know what you mean with the need to have something... at the moment I have redirected my foodcraving towards other things that are silly and needless... but anyway... I am gonna buy some baby clothing (although I have no babies)... I really REALLY want soem baby clothes though!! They are so cute!!
I am silly I know!..
Well anyway, you are a huge inspiration for me and you are still giving so much support to everyone, that is just great,
love, xxMilaxx

Yeah Cerella I do agree with what they say about great minds ;)

A blizzard is a soft ice cream and it's kinda blended with whatever you want, usually candy or things like cookie dough, and so you have this yummy soft ice cream with bits of whatever you wanted in there. I love having cookie dough and brownie together. The kit kat was disappointing, I like plain old kit kat's better.. I think the anticipation did make it seem like it would be better than it was. Hehe.

Hey Mila, thanks for the compliments. I can't wait until I lose the rest of the weight too! I look thin on the pics, but I still have a bunch of fat to lose, so I wanna lose that and get toned. I've never been toned, so I can't wait to see what that's gonna look like! I'm glad I can be an inspiration to you and any others, it makes me feel great. I love to help people because I know how hard it is to do it alone, so the more support the better!

So since I have a half work day today I went to my CK class this morning. I'd much rather do it in the morning! I'll be able to do this on friday too so I'm excited. I had a good workout and feel awesome!

Thanks for posting in my journal. It's encouraging to me to see that other people sometimes just HAVE to have a certain food.

Congrats on the great progress!

Risty,

Funny story about the blizzard. When we only have so many calories to spare per week we want to make the most of them! I guess our expectations get pretty high.
