It's FRIDAY!! YAY!


Offiicial weigh in - 116.5! I lost 4 lbs this week!!!! =) Omg it feels great knowing that my efforts are paying off!



Day 07 - Do your friends and family know you’re trying to lose weight? Do they support you?

- There aren't too many people that know I am trying, because I think it's very personal. I have told my mom, my sister, and my boyfriend. My mom isn't the best support system, never has been. She is more critical than anything, so i don't talk about it too much with her. My sister I only talk to occasionally but she is all for it and wants the best for me. My boyfriend is my biggest support system. While I was at the gym last night I left this diary up on accident, and he read thru it! He said he wants to be the biggest support and said he will do it with me, NO MORE junk food for either of us. I am so happy. He even wants to start going to the gym with me every day. =)
 
Yay well done on the weight loss:) and thats so sweet that your boyfriend is being so supportive of you trying to lose weight:):) I think its so cute that he got to read through your diary and wants to start eating healthier too:)

Thank you! I'm so happy I started off with a big number because it's keeping me motivated!

& I know, I want to be that size again more than anything! I've wanted to talk to more people on here but i'm being shy! Lol
 
Challenge question 8: Your workout routine.

I have been trying to workout every day, if I go to the gym I do the 35 min weight loss program, which burns around 350 cal if I keep the pase, then I do the bike for 10-15 mins, burning around 100 cal, and then I do stairs or treadmill for a bit. Lastly, I do strengthening exercises like the ab machines, arm machines or free weights. I spend at least an hour at the gym. If I do workouts from home, I do them on my tv. There is one called Butt bible that I love they have upper body and lower body routines, for about 25 mins, and then i do a cardio routine.

Goals today: 1300-1400 cal, 100 g protein, 100oz water.

Workout- burn atleast 500 cal.




Food diary- 9-24-2011


Breakfast: Half a bagel, with light butter. -250 cal

Amanda, your gym routine sounds SO HARDCORE. Well done chick, you are doing fantastic. Im hoping to do an exercise dvd later, hopefully i will be able to do this now!! I always tend to get lazy in the evenings!!

Ahhh just killed it at the gym! burned almost 500 cal! Elliptical- 35 mins (gluteal workout) 2.6 miles. Bike-15 mins, 5.2 miles!! Treadmill, 5 mins .14 miles, and stairs 3 mins OMG KILLER!

Day 09 - Did people ever make comments about your weight in a negative way?

- I have heard negative comments about my weight my entire life. Even when I looked as good as I did in the pics above, my family STILL talked about me in a very rude way. My cousin that is closest to my age was always WAY too skinny, and could eat whatever she want, well my aunt (her mom) would babysit me when I was little. I can still remember , eventhough it was years ago, she would call me Ms piggy, or call me chubby all the time. Then as I grew up my step dad and my mom would always make comments about how much I was eating, or what was on my plate. I think that is what effected my eating so much, I felt like I had to hide food because I would get judged or critisized in my own home! They always had junk food in the house because THEY could eat it, but if I ever was tempted to eat it or wanted any of it, they would say, "Amanda, Do you really need that? or tell me I couldn't have it. I BEGGED them to buy healthier food but they always said just because I was on a diet, THEY didn't have to be.

The pictures of my body that i liked, in the pictures was me freshman year of high school. Even though I look back and wish I was that small again, people in school STILL thought I was fat.

(Mind you, I live in COLORADO, the thinnest state in the U.S.)

I am so excited to be making changes for myself, and really feel as though I am finding myself for the first time. This is definitely a lifestyle change.



Todays goals: 9/25/11


Burn 500 cals at the gym.

Eat 1200 cal, 70-100 g protein, 100oz water.
 
Well done, you are doing great! :) It's good your boyfriend is your biggest support. :) I think I know how much 4 lbs is, (I'm using kg) but if it is what I think it is, it's really great. You should be happy. :):)
 
Thank you! I am eccstatic! I can already tell my body is changing and it's only been a little over a week. It's a great feeling and very motivating. I hope your journey goes well!

Today's Goals:


Workout- Burn 400 cal.

Eat- 1300 cal

Drink- 100oz water.


Weighed myself this morning, and was still the same. I still haven't measured myself, because I have no tape measure but I think I am losing inches. I bought workout pants right before I started (about a week and a half ago) and they are already falling off around the waist.



I have already gone to the gym, got back at 7:30 this morning. It really helps that my friend is coming with me every day, definitely holds me accountable.

Today I was very sore, so I only did the elliptical 15 mins- burned about 150 cal. Bike- 10 mins- 80 cals

Then we sat in the steam room for 20 mins and my hair was soaked, and my clothes were completely stuck to me. Lol

It felt amazing.


Off work today so running a ton of errands. Great news, both people that contacted me for daycare want to use me! I am now taking care of 5 kids plus my own! Talk about a handful, but I'm glad to be making the extrra income!

Day 10 - What was the hardest thing you gave up during your weight loss journey?

I haven't really given anything up completely. I realized that if I say i'm completely cutting it out, I end up failing, so this is the first time I have kept all the things i used to eat in my diet. The only difference is that I eat much less of the bad things (small portions). The funny thing is, I don't miss them! I don't really even want those unhealthy foods very often because I don't want to sabotage my workouts at the gym!




Today's diary- 9/26/11


forgot to eat breakfast, busy morning..tisk tisk..

Lunch: subway sandwich- 6inch turkey on white, pepper jack chesse, pickles, olives, lettuce, mayo. -420 Cal/ 19 g protein

( white choc macadamia nut cookie ) ahhh. - 220 cals..
 
Amaaaaaaaaada my darling, you are doing incredible:):) You are doing so so much exercise, i am majorly jealous:( I think you have the right attuide about not giving up anything completely, im the same as you, if i know im not supposed to have something i'll eat the world of it:)

My dearrrrr, I have been going to the gym a lot and I love itttt. I must have lied in my post yesterday because I woke up craving bad stuff!! My boyfriend decided he was going to go get coffee and I gave in. I'm sitting here drinking a grande salted caramel creme frappacccino as I type this. Hahaha It's delicious but was a horrible decision on my part. I did look at the calorie content online before he went and got it...


400 calories! I guess this is my breakfast..I promise I'll work it off at the gym tonight. =D I wish you lived here and I would make you come to the gym with me every day! Since you don't I'll just encourage the crap out of you. Lol.

I weighed myself this morning and it said 215! That is a little over 5 lbs lost! Ahhhh so freaking exciting! I think I may need a more accurate scale though because i can never read the small little lines. My next 2 purchases towards weight loss will have to be a tape measure (i'm always forgetting to buy it !) , and a scale.

I am starting to feel great and even though its not a huge loss, my boyfriend is making me feel so sexy! He's been feeling on me and telling me how tight my body is starting to feel and tells me how hot I am. Hahah It feels good!


Day 11 - Your favorite fitspo blog and why?
 
Oh my weight loss buddies I haven't done so great the last 2 days, I fell off the good eating and was so mad at myself, but then I realized I just need to get back on it!

I have been doing the wii sports as workouts, and I sprained my ankle doing it yesterday. =/ Hoping for a fast recovery so I can get back to the gym!

Omgosh! I think we all had an off week/weekend. I ate really bad which is why I haven't been on as much. My ankle is feeling better and I can walk on it now. tomorrow is DEFINITELY back to healthy eating and working out!!!!
 
Ok girls, back on my weight loss mission! My dad just told me that he's taking me and my boyfriend on a carribean cruise for my 21st birthday!!

I HAVE to lose atleast 30 lbs by then! The cruise is on the 27th of January so I have almost 4 months to lose 30 lbs. 185 or so by then will be good for me! I am so excited. This has definitely upped my motivation! =DD


Today's goals: Workout hard ! burn 500 cals!

Eat healthy, 1200 cals.
