Phoenyx's Final 10 & Journey to Fitness

Hahah agreed, you guys can come up here to Canada if you like...We're getting 30 cm (a foot) of snow overnight apparently...Although that's nothing like what Karl's got!

whine away whine away :D its good to whine every now and then.
i hear ya all about the weather. is there a part of the world where its normal????
here the rain hasn't stopped in weeks, Karl has storms, snowing at Val's... hibernation anyone?

Wanna trade weather?

Um... how about hell no? Like I said... I know its colder elsewhere... but I HATE cold. I swear I must be a reptile... Can't function in the cold and all I want to do is find a warm sunny rock to bask on.

Heh... thanks, I'll pass. Freaking BRRR!!

I'd hibernate in a heartbeat if I could. Until mid February when Speed Week starts up.

Normally this time of year maybe averaging in the 40s and 50s. This is just one of those cold snaps that happens. We rarely get snow here, but I think there was some falling at about 1000 feet.

Bleh. Ended up not getting home from Xmess shopping until almost 11 so no yoga last night. Did some this morning though just to loosen up. Gotta go back out into the battle zones tonite to try to finish up the shopping.

I really hate what they did to the Toys R Us out here. They put in a Baby's R Us in the same building, and rearranged the rest of the store. Now the non baby side is all crammed together, barely enough room to get through the aisles, crap stacked on the floor in those aisles which makes piloting a cart through even MORE fun. :banghead:

Ah well, still holding at 159 :D

Hmm, it actually has not snowed at my HOUSE yet, but this morning and yesterday I had to scrape ice from my car's windows and the porch has frost on it so I have to be very careful walking down the steps (remember a few months back I slipped and hurt my tailbone?)

Last night I built a fire in our stove for the first time, and thought that it would keep the house warm--it didn't! It was so cold I turned on the central heating (yes we have it even on the generator) but felt bad because it uses a lot of propane :(

YAY for 159! :hurray:

Too bad about no Yoga, I went last night but was weak from kickboxing.

Hehe, I'm with you on the Christmas shopping madness.... I have been clawing my way through stores and markets in search of gifts... left it a little late I think :p

This morning's weigh-in:

Weight: 160.7 (ACK!!! :ack2:)
% body fat: 21.7 (that's more like it!)
BMI: 23.7

Hmmm, gained a pound since my official weigh-in last week, but my body fat is down 1.6%. Wonder if I put on more muscle?

When I weighed myself at home this morning it was 159.6 like its been all week. I guess the extra pound must be clothing.

The doc is going to be closed for the holidays, so no more official weigh ins until January 9. I see this as a challenge to get back down between the 155-160 range so I can phase off the phentermine and start really dedicating myself to maintenance and fine tuning.

Last night was the last yoga class of the session. Next series doesn't start until January 8, but I don't know if I'm going to sign back up or not. First concern is financial since my work is putting me on furlough for a month or so. Hopefully I can find some part time stuff in the meantime.

I found a gym I want to check out once my work situation gets straightened back out. Its not a conventional gym... its a rock climbing facility!! They have a HUGE area set up for learning rock climbing and teach rock climbing lessons there. The reasons I want to join? They have a full gym with cardio equipment, weight machines and free weights (and a squat rack!!), yoga and other types of classes along with the rock climbing. And a steam room! $60 a month for all that. Who knows, maybe I'll take a rock climbing class, just for the heck of it. Its also easy to access on my way home from work, close enough to home to go to when I'm not working (weekends, etc.), and close to my husband's work so he could go there too if he decides to join.

They also do a boot camp class at 5:30 am a few times a week... if I join I may do that for a while to strip off more of the fat.

Holy shit that gym sounds badass.

I would love to have a rock climbing wall in my gym!

It totally sounds badass... that's why I am thinking of joining it. Not your typical meat market gym.

Check out the pic on the front page of their web site...

There's a video tour of the gym too, but I haven't looked at that yet.

Damn, if you don't join this gym I will murder you.

The weight room looks hot too.

WORD I am joining Pacific Edge, a rock climbing gyn just like that with ACROYOGA on Mondays! I think it's $540 for 6 months and I'm gonna use my resources to get assistance on that, but yup--same deal PLUS there are a bunch of hot, young, hippie boys that climb there :beating:

Heh... no need to murder me. Like I said... once my work situation straightens itself out, I'm probably going to join. In the long run it will save $$ because I won't need to take yoga elsewhere. And learning how to climb? That would be a big bonus for upper body strength.

AWESOME!!!!!! :hurray: That's excellent! :eek2:

COOL!

So... now we are both going to add rock climbing with yoga, martial arts and bellydance? That's funny!

Bah, humbug!

All I gotta say is...

I hate Christmas Music!!!!

:cuss::rant::smash:

Its just another reason to want to hibernate... to spare the assault on my ears.

Thank goodness for having an iPod in my truck so I don't have to listen to that crap when I'm driving.

They were playing some Xmess song at Barnes & Noble the other night that had me go from 0 to Kill in record time. :ack2:

I need to go to a drag race... that's some sweet music right there.:driving:

I know, I used to work retail :ack2: I haven't shopped at all this year, so I've been spared--also the natty food stores out here don't play that stuff....

I'm so counting the days 'til East Bay Fla. I can't wait to rejoin the slinging of clay and 800 HP Aluminum blocks stressed to limit.

I haven't shopped at all this year, so I've been spared--

My entire 'holiday shopping' comprises of one trip to the Hallmark Store and the ATM. Dead Presidents is always a big hit with the kiddo. No complaints and no exchanges ten years running.

Busy lately? ;)

Yeah, Been in kind of a funk the last few days too. PMS and all that rot, plus I generally can't stand this time of year because of the rampant idiocy. I'm really looking forward to Dec. 26. Maybe I should start celebrating Boxing Day. :biggrinjester:

More in a bit.
