Phoenyx's Final 10 & Journey to Fitness

Well shit, my periods are going to lap yours eventually, they're 24-28 days apart, but usually 26--I remember we used to be on the same schedule, but I'm already on Day 4!

HOPE YOU CHEER UP AND HAVE A GOOD TIME!

I'm so excited, I'm going back to Livermore tonight to hang out with some of my closest friends from high school, and on Friday I'm going to THIS venue to see my homegirl LB spin on deck!

Its the part of 5th that is on the other side of N. Livermore. Close to the downtown area. I've walked around there at night with no trouble.

Funny, I'm hoping to get out there within the next couple weeks to visit my friends. Couple ol' Curmudgeons I completely adore.

LOL! Livermore does NOT have a tenderloin district! LOL!

Although I grew up in the "hardest" part, which wasn't very hard at all ;) It was MY hood, no one fucked with me.

Well have a great day anyway! Looking forward to starting climbing and hearing about your experiences, too :)

Hey my BD teacher was inspired by my "gypsy-wildness" and is choreography a dance because of me! Isn't that cool!!!????

That is too cool!

Soooo, I took a bit of a break from the computer for a couple days after Christmas. That is, I wasn't on nearly as much as I usually am.

Last week was pretty stressful with Xmas looming, trying to get some things wrapped up at work since they've put me on 'furlough' for about a month or so, PMS, etc.

Christmas Eve & Day were both pretty chill, and that's a good thing. Getting to hang out with the family is usually a good day, thankfully. Most of my family, the ones I choose to have anything to do with (except for a couple uncles who are in other parts of the state) are in the SF Bay Area... so luckily I don't have to do a lot of traveling.

I haven't been overly diligent about what I've been eating, and kinda slacked off on working out last week. So yep, I put on a couple pounds. But I'm not overly worried about it. This week I've picked back up on the workouts. Did a Tae Bo Amped workout that kicked my ass, then some yoga today. Got my ass kicked in MMA last night. Neck's a little sore from last night too... likely didn't fall quite right when I got flipped. Probably do some weight lifting tomorrow, or some extended belly dance. Haven't decided yet. Maybe a quick walk, then some weights, followed by some yoga. Depends on what I feel like doing tomorrow.

I've really been enjoying the slower pace the last few days, but I know I will start going stir crazy soon. That's ok, I've got plenty to keep me busy around here... playing catch-up on things that I have neglected, so some very early spring cleaning, get rid of a bunch of stuff I don't use anymore, make another run to Goodwill with more clothing that is too big, maybe start painting again.

I figure since I'm not going to be at work for a while, this will be a good time to focus on getting those last 5 (7?) pounds off and work on whipping my ass in to even better shape. Hopefully there will at least be some part time work in the interim (those pesky bills and all), or the furlough won't last too long... I can do about a month or a month and a half, but any longer than that is going to hurt.

I found out one of my best friend's brothers is opening up a gym in my town very soon. I think his projected date of opening is Jan 2. Don't know if he's going to make it or not, but if he is, I'm going to crash the grand opening. Cool thing is, its in a location where there was a gym I used to belong to a long time ago. It was a pretty cool gym then. Looking at the pics of what they've been doing to the place, its going to be a pretty cool gym when they are finished.

Thing is, unless I can get a screaming 'friend/family' membership, I'll probably still join the rock climbing gym. Between the two, I think it will be easier to access in my daily routines. Then again... you never know. Maybe I can do a month at one place, then a month at the other, see which one I like better.

Ah well, gotta get back to working full time before I do any sort of gym membership.

I'm doing a very low key NYE this year.

And just for fun a few recent pics...

First one is in front of the Jack Daniel's/Clint Bowyer merchandise hauler that I caught up with in Emporia, KS the day after the race in Kansas City.

Second is Halloween.

Last is Thanksgiving. Unfortunately I am so pale as to be reflective. Ah well, I have Jack on the rocks, so its all good. :willy_nilly:

Fair? Yep, pale!

And I weighed in at 158 this morning... so I must've gotten rid of that PMS water weight. WooHoo!!! 158... that's a new low for moi.

New LOW!!:hurray:

You are fucking FINE :drool5: I want to kiss the tops of your boots! LOL!

I'm in the same boat, but I'm lucky--Chris is going to take care of my climbing gym membership :beating: Isn't that sweet of him? He used to be a climber so it's also a fun way to spend time together and for him to take his mind off of pain. Instructing me will help him not be bored and depressed--and I get to learn, too! :hurray: You'll have to tell me how your new gym experience goes!

 HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!
Let 2009 be the IT year for us! :cheers2: :waving: :grouphug:

heh... thanks! I'm needing to find more places to wear those boots. Mebbe I will just have to go to the Fetish ball in March. :reddevil: We'll see. It would be a fun experience.

Somehow I don't think my work would want me to photograph it for the magazine... but the thought of doing so is hilarious in my mind.

Here's to 2009 being just the beginning of the IT years for us! :willy_nilly:

Well, I was naughty last night, but I've done worse back in my heavy days.

Got into the chips and guacamole, had a few drinks, ate more potato at dinner than I usually do anymore. The worst of it was probably the sugar involved in the drinks.

Today is just a kick back type of day.

One thing I've noticed is the heavier influx of the 'lose weight now' type of commercials on TV. The ones that all but scream "Happy New Year, Fatass!!! why not buy OUR product so you can lose some weight?"

Now its time for all the Resolutioners to take advantage of and get sucked in to a gym membership that a large percentage of them will ultimately stop using after a couple months (if that) yet still have to pay for because of the 'screaming deal' they got for joining.

I'm just hoping the Rock gym has some screaming deal that I can take advantage of... at least I know I'll use it.

So I was flipping through the channels earlier and came across the show "Inside Brookhaven Obesity Clinic". I could only watch a couple minutes of it... I found it very disturbing. I mean... shit... at 241 I was considered obese, and that was only 80 pounds overweight. It was STILL physically taxing. I can't begin to imagine what it would feel like to have 200, 300 even 400 extra pounds on the body. I don't want to.

Speaking of disturbing... anybody see the movie 'WALL•E'? Really cute movie about the robots. But there's a few underlying messages there that I found disturbing as hell. (spoiler alert...)

Ok, bad enough with the planet covered in garbage. Buy N Large must have been modeled after WalMart.

So with the planet covered in garbage all the humans get into a giant ship and head for space while they wait for the planet to get cleaned up by the WALL•E robots. Meanwhile they have every need taken care of by yet more robots. On their floating chairs that convey them everywhere, food in a cup, constantly talking to others on screens projected in front of them. All the humans in the chairs uniformly obese.

Is this where humanity is going to take itself? Are we all getting so accustomed to having everything handled by machinery and computers that life is led from an easy chair? Is this why the growing percentage of the population is already, if not morbidly obese, on its way, or at least seriously overweight?

Alright so the movie does have a happy ending with the people returning to the planet, cleaning it up, living consciously and losing the weight... but still. Wow. Gotta love the folk at Pixar.

Definitley not going to let myself fall in to that trap again. I just got 'here' from 'there'... I don't want to go back. :ack2:

WOW!!! You look fantastic (and I absolutely LOVE the boots!) :)

I also hope that this is the IT year for you and Val, although I'd also like 2009 to be my "IT" year, too!

Oh yes, please do go the fetish ball! I'm hoping to attend with at least Matt in tow, and then we could all post our pervy pics :D

Val, you can volunteer and not pay? Oh I certainly need to know all about that ... :p

Last year, that's what I did, but I don't know the details this year. The chick who's throwing the party is busy in Texas and she broke up with her boyfriend, who owns Madame S. He also makes porn, my friend told me I could make one with my boyfriend but I declined--but I said I'd do a foot fetishist one! LOL!
