Phoenyx's Final 10 & Journey to Fitness

Very cool! We are so close.

There are quite a few of us here in CA. One of these days we should throw a celebration party and all meet up in San Francisco.

I'm in SJ, but work in SF.

For my Halloween costume this year, I had originally planned on a 'Deranged and Homicidal Bridesmaid' idea, even found a somewhat hideous bridesmaid's dress at a 2nd hand store for $7 a couple months ago. Not nearly as godawful as I would have preferred, but still not something I would be happy to wear if I was in a wedding. Then again, I think most bridesmaid's dresses suck anyway. I was going to find a mannequin head, put a veil on it, and paint up blood at the neck, and walk around carrying it and an axe.

Then I changed my mind. Decided I wanted to do something more risqué. Maybe not as original as my first idea, but something like a witch or a devil. Well, getting to the Spirit Halloween Store, and seeing the riding crop pitchfork decided me... devil it is. :reddevil: Started looking through the devil costumes, found this one red dress that was simply smashing! Sort of victorian, sort of goth. Decided I'd need to fix the waist cincher I had made a few years ago to give it more of a dominatrix flair too.

In an email conversation with Colleen, I was telling her about my Halloween costume, so she sent me a some pics from hers a couple years ago. I simply fell in LUST with the boots she was wearing. Knee hi, black vinyl with red flames, 5" heels... instant lust! I found those and some plain black patent ones that I thought about ordering, but I've always had muscular calves, and even in my thinner days tight boots were a crap shoot.

So it was off to Sarah's Bare Necessities after work last night. Figured why not? My wonderful hubby gave me a gift certificate for Sarah's, and there were a couple other things I could look for while I was there. It was a good opportunity to see if the corset I was waiting for to come in had shown up too.

Let me tell you a bit about Sarah's. It is, first and foremost, a lingerie store. It carries bras & other undergarments up to 52 J, corsets, teddies, lace, leather, latex, vinyl, some clothing, costumes for Halloween and other occasions. On the other hand it carries various & sundry lotions, etc. and in two lovely antique armoires in the back of the store... toys. Lots of toys. Just discreetly placed in the cabinets instead of all over the store like other similar establishments. Next to the armoires is a glass cabinet with a few different B&D & fetsih goodies. Nothing hardcore, just some collars, cuffs, a mask, etc.

They had the boots I was lusting after too. Decided to try them on just in case they would actually get around my calves. AND THEY DID!!! :willy_nilly::willy_nilly: I'm going to need to practice walking in them so I don't break my head while wearing them. But oh my GAWD are they sexy!

I also picked up a really cool waist cincher, so I don't need to fix the one I made. Laces up in back, and has a zipper on the side. Made my stomach look FLAT!! Gave me some pretty awesome curves too.

Rounded it off with a narrow leather collar with a ring in the middle of it. Gonna probably find some red fishnets to wear over black stockings, and I have some black leather lace up wrist gauntlets. I picked up a red & black crazy Goth wig that I was planning on restyling and adding more black length to, but I'm beginning to lean towards a more 'Lady Heather' type of look. It would mean figuring out how to attach the horns in my own hair if I go that way, and figuring out how I want to wear it... probably upswept. I don't know yet. Have to alter the dress a bit too, I want it to be backless.

My husband was properly stunned when I modeled my purchases last night. :reddevil: Rendered him speechless. Its funny because I got a text from him this morning saying he realized he didn't convey how awesome I looked in my purchases from Sarah's. That's ok honey... your look spoke volumes. :biggrinjester: I'm going to tower over him by about 3" in those boots.

So here's a pic of the boots, and the dress. I'll be posting pics after Halloween too.

Very nice. I'm looking forward to seeing those Halloween shots. :reddevil:

I've got the same thing with my calves. 18" and there's no fat there to lose. ( :( ?) Any boot that is above ankle it becomes a problem. Even my snowboarding boots get up where it's big. This year I'm dressing like a pirate, and the pants that I got are lace up around the calf and it's still real tight. The boots too. I might just rip the pants and go with the tattered look.

Well, we can all go to March's Fetish Ball this year then :D

Hey Phoenyx, where's the lingerie talk? Hmm? :toetap05:

LOL! Is that where those pics in your diary came from? That looks like a lot of fun! Where can I get one of those latex alien costumes. lol

Maybe we could do Bay to Breakers together. You'll run right past me, but we can party afterwards!

Good show!!! :hurray:

LOL! I kissed those very boots before, at the Fetish ball (on my knees of course). HAHA! Beautiful, just beautiful. All of it!

So its been a bit since my last update.

Last few days have been... interesting.

First, I know some will be asking 'where's the Halloween pics?'... Halloween has been postponed. Yes, postponed. Until this Saturday. I know that sounds really crazy, but that's my family. My brother in law's entire family got sick the day before Halloween... we were supposed to get together, then hit another friend's house for a little partying for the adults and the typical trick or treat for the kids. Nov 1 was also my youngest niece's 1st birthday so there was supposed to be a party for her that weekend too.

So we're doing a modified version of it this coming Saturday. My sister in law is talking about still dressing up just for the hell of it... we'll see. Regardless, I put some time into getting my costume together... I'm still wanting to put it on and get some pics. Like I said I would. :biggrinjester:

---------

Its been kinda hard to be motivated lately. Part of it must be the changing of the season, the time change, it getting darker sooner. Part of it is stress at work.

Then I managed to put on 2 pounds since the 10th of October... that didn't make me feel very good about things. Only thing that has kept me from going totally ballistic about that is the body fat content has gone down a little bit more.

Then TOM hit again. Not fun.

Don't worry, I'm not giving up. Couple weeks ago I started going on a lunchtime walk a couple times a week. Originally with a group of coworkers, but they've boobied out on me the last couple times. Which doesn't bother me because I seem to make a lot better time alone. Its a good couple miles, very hilly. Whether anybody joins me tomorrow or not remains to be seen.

Last week I managed to run/jog part of the walk. Not a lot of it... but for at least a couple minutes. This may sound strange coming from me... but I want to eventually run the whole thing. This coming from a person who has claimed to hate running. Ah well, I guess I see this as a challenge.

These outdoor excursions during lunch are making me realize I don't have any decent outdoor exercise wear. I need to find something that won't be too warm, but keep me warm enough when exercising outside in California Bay Area fall/winter weather. It gets pretty cold, at least to us spoiled Californians.

I also need to find a decent pair of shoes. I'm thinking trail running shoes because there's dirt and pavement in my walk, and I'd like something with more support for my feet if I'm going to be running.

I have never really looked for running shoes before. I have no idea what to look for. They all look so space age nowadays.

ok, more later... way later than I thought it was and I need some sleep. :willy_nilly:

Hey, Phoenyx. I'm with you on the running. I hate it before, during and after. Unfortunately it's one of the best things for me losing weight, so I do it. You can't have everything, I guess. :cheers2:

Hey! Sounds like a good habit, that lunch time walk... wish we had the space where I work!

No worries about the 2 pounds if, as you said BF% is lower, whoop whoop!

Still hope to see your devilish photos after this weekend!!!

Hola stranger. :)

This time of year is killing my drive too. Dark at 5 pm now just completely twists me. I'm driving to the gym and it feels like I should be crawling into bed!

I will adjust.

The ironic thing is I used to be a night person. Not so much anymore.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention, I'm starting a yoga class tonight. Decided I liked it enough to take a few classes, at least for now. That way I can learn how to do the postures/breathing correctly.

Just got back from my lunchtime walk... it was GOOD! :willy_nilly:
