Paladin-Clerics Weight Loss Journey

Ahhhh!! Well done! I'm so happy for you. Insanity is such a good program to follow.. it pushes you to your limits but also gives you a chance to catch your breath. The two weekly fitness tests are also handy as its a good way to track your progress.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. I love the feeling after finishing it but during it I feel like ripping his voice box out /: (I swear I'm normal)

I hope you see the results you deserve :)

Oy, insanity...good luck! I'm too chicken to even try it. I'll be following your progress with interest.

Phew, second day down and sweating like a pig. Man it's hard to do this, but feels good when you finish! I'm really committed to it now. Even if I'm not going to be as fit as the one's in the video I am determined.

Tomorrow is day three and another Zombie run! Yay!

went waaaaaaay over on calories today! two sandwiches, big bowl of pasta, cereal and way to many snacksized crunchies! such a bad person today. Ah well. sigh. still, exercise, so that's good.

I always have to be careful with overdoing it on the exercise because it seriously makes me too dang hungry. I end up going way over calories and undoing the whole day. Remember, weight loss is mostly diet and exercise is the topping on the cake. 90/10. There is a saying, you can't out-exercise and bad diet.

Weird thing is I did twice as much exercise on Monday but wasn't as hungry. It was weird. And then yesterday... I think my mistake was going to the shop at lunchtime... Won't be doining that again in a hurry!

So I found this
basically it's supposed to tell you how many calories you may have burned doing the Insanity Workout. I'm not going to take it as absolute fact, but I do like the idea of recording some form of calories burned from the workouts.

So, what I intend to do is set it at the lowest setting, and then divide the result by 2. I think that will probably be more realistic that way, and if I do burn more calories then it'll be a welcome surprise rather than me just assuming I've done that many to begin with.

So, Lets carry on. Next workout ready to go!

That sounds like a good way of doing it, chick. I do the same with swimming, kind of. Even if I feel like I've busted my butt and done an "intense" workout, I always work out calories burnt using the lowest intensity bracket. That way, if we've done more than that, we're winning!

Yup. sweating like a pig again. wow these are hard workouts. I'm thinking a nice long soak in the bath once my mum goes out is just the ticket! stave off some unpleasent soreness before having to go into work tomorrow.

If I don't drop at least two dress sizes by the time these 60days are up I will actually cry! Trying to eat better, exercise more. I don't start seeing some real results soon I'm not going to feel as motivated. I mean, I feel motivated today, but Ii know myself, and I'm very easily demotiviated if things don't work as quickly as I expect them too.

I would love to be able to put on a swim suit and go to my local pool, but I actually feel like a whale even looking at swim suits. Need to tone up! Need to loose weight! Need to look good in a dress!

I know how your feel about swimsuits. I have a tankini that I bought for a vacation to hawaii and it still has its tags on it!! I wear the cover up that I bought to go with it all the time as a nighty though. HAHA When I bought it I couldn't decide between the regular bottoms or the skirt bottoms so I bought both...what a waste so far.

I haven't bought a swinsuit in nearly... 9 years? I think... lol.

Wow, day 4, still going strong. Whew.

I made the mistake of going to the shop again during lunch yesterday again. So on my way home I stopped into Tescos and picked me up some tuna and wholemeal wraps so for the next however many days I'm gonna be having tuna mayonaise wraps for lunch, which is waaaaaay better than going to the shop and buying stuff! My card and money will remain at home as well!

Need to be stronger about what I eat, I really do. Is it werid that I don't feel hungry on the days when I do lots of exercise? I mean, the days I do my zombie run and Insanity I haven't felt hungry at all. I ate, because I knew I had to, but I wasn't hungry... Maybe it's because I have breakfast and then exercise, whereas the days I'm working I work, eat all day and then come home and exercise... If it wasn't for the fact that getting up early enough to do my exercise before work would mean I'd be up at like 4 in the morning I would consider it.

Thoughts

Ok, so my calorie consumption is still on high at the moment. I am trying to curb it down but it is a hard thing to do.

I have noticed, as I mentioned previously, that if I do my workouts in the morning before doing anything else I feel less hungry during the day. Maybe I feel hungry for exercise as opposed to food and the two cross wires if I wait to exercise I don’t know. I have a week of late shifts coming up (well, three days at the start of next week) so I will test this theory of mine seeing as I’ll have to exercise in the morning of I won’t get the chance!

I had to skip my session of Insanity yesterday due to simply not having enough hours in the day, so I’m doing it today to make up for it, which means there’s an extra session for next week’s exercise info.

As to exercise, Insanity is going well so far, feeling the burn. All sweat and sore muscles afterwards, so it must be working. I have also decided to only show half of the regular calculated burned calories for it simply because there is no way for me to really calculate it. I’m still doing the Zombie runs, still enjoying them immensely. I think my running is getting better, I don’t have the stamina for more than minute run drills at the moment, but I do think I’m getting better.

Even with my calories being over again this week I still managed to lose 2kg. I am so pleased! If this keeps up I could be at 100kg by the time my brother’s wedding rolls round, the lowest I have seen in many years! And from there it’s only another 41kg down to my ideal weight. If I keep working hard, exercising and doing my best with my calorie consumption I could be as fit as I always wanted to be.

Goals

Keep pushing myself in my exercises
Do better with my calories, fewer snacks, more healthy meals!
Drag boyfriend out to some mountains to get in some mountain walking practice!

I know! I can only hope it continues! I like seeing such progress! It makes me feel like what I'm doing is really working. If it continues like this I might just keep this up for much longer than I ever have before!

I feel so good about myself today!

What you are doing is working & the fact that you feel so good about yourself is telling you how important it is to keep on going. Feeling good about yourself is half the battle! You are doing so well PC. Well done! Cheers, Cate

Thank you!

Day one of my expiriment of "early workouts" down. feeling hungry now, but managed the whole day without feeling hungry. Interesting. I'm gonna head to bed without eating anything now, just lots of water to drink and see how tomorrow pans out.

You're doing great P-C. Keep up the hard work. I sweat like crazy biking (I literally look like I just walked out of a swimming pool) and I drink a minimum of 3 liters of water each day. It's roughly 5 20oz bottles per day, so I pace them out through the day. On weekend long rides, I drink 2 liters just during my ride, so those days it's usually 4 liters total. I also drink decaf coffee at work through the day.

Looks like you are doing great so far. 2kg loss is great! Early workouts can be great, to get it done and over with, but it's hard to get up that early!

I don't drink nearly enough water. I'm trying, but its hard. lol.

My problem is that I do a workout in the morning then have waaaaaaaay too much energy all day. yesterday I was iterally bouncing off the wals in work I was so jazzed up after my session in the morning. lol. If today is the same I'm gonna start feeling sorry for my work colleagues. lol.

Well, day two of early workouts started. now to see howit goes!

I also did somehing I wouldn't normally do and checked my weight today... it says I've lost another kg... I don't know how accurate that is, bt wow anyway.

Forgot my lunch today so stopped and bought some.... I need to stop shopping for my lunch, it's awful the way I buy things I shouldn't!

I did pick up some healthier snacks, but I also devoured a whole 5 mini rolls. I am a bad dieter! So much for losing a kg lol. Must work harder for the rest of th week!
