I agree with your comment about adjusting your diet... I must admit that I have been disappointed at progress so have changed things about... I have axed my weetabix/skimmed milk and sweetener every day and replaced it with 500g total 0% yoghurt with a tin of fruit in fruit juice...
My reasoning was that the yoghurt will be better food content and I have messed around with that meal in the past with good results...
500g total 0% Greek yoghurt gives 285 calories but they are very effective calories... it gives 51.5g protein and 520mg calcium... That is just over 50% of the calcium RDA...
I will continue to have 250g at suppertime with blueberries... I am often ready for it - especially on Tuesday and Thursday when I have done 2.5 or 2 hours of salsa since having my evening meal...
I have been neglecting my diary as I have been focusing on the challenge when I've visited the forum.
I am still spending time on another diet forum which has turned into a small group of old friends... I am running a challenge there and am making sure that I have 5-a-day (3 of which veg) all servings of a different fruit or veg... The good thing about running the challenge is that I can pick something that I know that I ought to be doing better and focus on it... The truth is that I know that although I was having 5-a-day I was inclined to have several servings of the same thing therefore not enough variety...
I have a lot of baked beans and am a firm believer in having a whole tin several times a week... they are tasty, inexpensive, high protein, high fibre and incredibly good for cholesterol... I was getting inclined to have a can of beans and class it as several servings so my veg for the day and be ok with that and some fruit...
A breakdown of exercise highlights since I last posted:
Wednesday - Walking during the day then zumba. I did always enjoy zumba 27,358 steps
Thursday - walking during the day then 2 hours salsa. There was no opportunity to shirk or get lazy with my steps and get them wrong as all eyes were on me since I danced with the teacher for the whole of the second class... 27,887 steps
Friday - treadmill... 22,179 steps
Saturday - 1 hour salsa private class where we work on building our routine, 1 hour zumba plus outdoor walking 30,646 steps
Sunday little bit of outdoor walking plus treadmill 17,955 steps
Monday - outdoor walking, 2 miles treadmill plus 1 hour zumba. I normally do aerobics on a monday but it was cancelled because of the snow... we didnt fancy doing outdoor walking in the evening so we got into the car and went to a zumba class in another district that I dont normally go to... We surprised our teacher as we do not normally see him on a Monday
