Omega's journey

Thanks for visiting.

Kimberly
Hatchlands would be really easy for us to go to. It is about 20 miles away from home by car. If you headed out of the centre of London by train we could pick you up and go there in the car.

Kelly
Hatchlands is near Guildford. When we went last week there was a really pretty bit. There was a little clearing in the woods that was all bluebells. There was so many of them that it seemed like a hidden pond. I think that Rod took a photo but I dont think that he has dealt with it yet - if he loads it up I will post it.

Janice
The WW leader was really nice. I thought that she might be a bit funny about me having lost the bulk of my weight already - but she was so positive about it - more positive than I ever thought possible! It is apparently 17 years since she joined WW. I really think that joining them has been such a positive move for me. I have been logging my points at the end of the day and have been pleased to note that I have had points left over at the end of each day.

I also checked and my eating fits perfectly within "core" too. At first I thought that the way that I like to graze all afternoon and night on fruit would be a problem with core because you get charged points for core foods than you have at other than mealtimes. Then I a/ realised that it was ok to have fruit snacks from the core list and b/ realised that my pedometer points covered it anyway.

That points pedometer makes a huge difference to the points that I get. I am getting 6.5 or 7 points from the pedometer every day. That is enough to cover a lot of food. It really makes the difference between how easy or difficult it is to bring my food in at a basic setting of 17 points.

Take care
Love
Margaret

Wow Margaret... 148.4 lbs

You're doin' just wonderful. Congrat's! :hug2:

Sorry it has been so long since I've checked in with ya.

My life has been a complete mess...lol

How are you feeling now-a-days? :)

I hope you're all well.

Hi Stacy

Thanks for your congratulations. I am actually a few pounds up from my low weigh (which was 144.8) due to TOM.

I know that things have been difficult for you (what with you needing an operation) so wouldnt expect you to pop by too often at all. I am recovering well - in a way a bit too well - as I am inclined to forget that I am still heeling on the inside. I keep having to remind myself.

Take care
Love
Margaret

That's good news that the WW leader is so thrilled to have you even though you've already lost most of your weight. I'm happy that you are so pleased with the program, and that is doesn't interfere with your current menu. :)

I would love to go to Hatchlands, and I'm sure H would also. I would love to see that pic of the bluebells once Rod gets it uploaded. I read about them on the website, and was slightly annoyed that they wouldn't be there by the time we arrived..lol. The description sounded beautiful.

I understand that Margaret..

It can be easy to forget when you're still healing, but you feel so much better u just want to stay active/busy.

When I've been sick or something to that degree and start feeling better, I'll start going 100 mph again and then knock myself back to a relapse..lol

You don't want to do that. ;)

:hug2:

Thanks for the info on hatchlings i will have to mention it to my mum and see if we can go for a walk there sometime! it would be lovely to see you pics when you can upload them :)

Hi margaret,

I did think about going to another meeting, but the nearest one (which would be a train journey away) is also on a monday, and then there is a meeting at my usual place but its on a wednesday mornig when I will be in college.

We dont really get a lunch break in work, its more like whatever you can eat in 5 mins when its a bit quiet. Im okay going next week though, I have been sticking to the plan so Im sure it will pay off!

Those pics of that estate are really nice. You and Kimberley will have a nice time walking around there. My mom lives in a town called Guildford, which was settled in 1612. You probably know we have a lot of towns with English names.

Hope you and Rod are doing well Margaret :)

Thanks for visiting.

Kimberly and Kelly
Rod hasnt loaded up the photos yet - so I have dropped some subtle hints.

Stacy
We all do the same daft things! We know that we shouldnt do things - and yet we catch ourselves doing some of them!

Becky
It's a shame that you will have to pay and not get a meeting for your money. I am sure that you will stick to the plan and get a really good result the following week.

Claudia
We are doing fine thanks. We have had a pretty busy day. We went into Kingston and were looking at treadmills. We didnt buy one - but found out lots of info. Rod is having extra food treats because tomorrow is his birthday so he has started celebrating early. This means that there is even more temptation around me than normal.

It is a coincidence about your mother living in Guildford.

Organisations like the National Trust have a lot of nice places (nothing spectacular but nice, interesting and old) that you can visit. Every so often we pick one for a walk in the grounds.

Take care

:hurray:Hi Margaret
Hey, looks like you've been able to knock off another couple of pounds - good for you! I was VERY disappointed at my weigh in. On my home scale post workout/pre shower it showed me at 154 - then at WW an hour or so later they said I HAD GAINED and put me at 157.2!!! I made sure when I showered that I didn't wash my hair, but I have to wonder if just plain showering would have made my skin absorb back so much water??? I am very tired of dancing around 157. *sigh* I wonder if I need to be eating MORE food, as my workout level is pretty intense. Also, there is a chance that now my body is too "used to" my routine, and I need to tweak it. I don't want to. So there!:reddevil: hee hee

Anyway, glad to see that at least YOU are moving in the right direction! Keep it up, my friend.

Cheers:cheers2:

Hi there!

I see you're nearly back to your lowest weight, so I'm sure you'll be back there and hitting new lows any day now. :)

I've noticed you haven't been doing all of your creaming regimes. Is it b/c of your surgery?

H wants me to find out how much it would cost to change our ticket so that we can spend more time there--and go to Scotland for a few days. His mother's family have Scottish ancestry, so he's interested in taking the train up. If we do this, it won't affect our planned visit with you, though. :)

Margaret,

SW do usually make you pay if you miss a week but if you are a shift worker then you don't need to - as long as you let them know in advance.

It is a good incentive to go to meetings though knowing you have to pay for missing one!

Thanks for visiting.

Janice
Thankfully my weight is heading back down towards my pre-TOM low. I really dont like the way that TOM literally takes 2 weeks out of my month as far as weightloss goes. There is always about 2 weeks before I get back to my pre-TOM low so that I can start really losing again (instead of losing recently regained weight). Every so often I have to tweak things a bit to get back to losing again if things seem to otherwise have ground to a halt. We all hate doing it - but accept it as a fact of life. I am sorry if you are looking at doing that. Surely our skin cannot be as absorbent as you are seeing. We would be human sponges. Is it possible that the ww scales are positioned slightly different from normal to give you that apparent gain? Ignore it and stick to your own scales. At least you have a good idea that your scales are in the same place as normal.

Kimberly
I am certainly pleased to be heading towards my low weight.

I did stop doing the creaming with the surgery. It is mainly laziness now. My worst bit is my abdomen - which I cannot do because the stitches are still healing (inside and out) and boobs - which I have really got round to accepting will not go right without surgery but it looks like that will happen. That kind of leaves me with my upper legs, upper arms and bum. At first I was giving it a miss because I did not want to be balancing and reaching much - but really now it is pure laziness. I will have to start doing it again. Once I get started - it will all get done automatically as a habit. Thanks for the reminder.

Kelly
Hints normally work - but often not immediately.

Becky
It is good that you will not get charged. That makes it a bit better if you miss the meeting.

Take care

Margaret

So do I need to start nagging you everyday about the creaming? :D

Thank you for all the support you give me day in and day out. You are a gem! :)

A bit of nagging probably never goes amiss!

You support me every bit as much if not more than I support you.
