Conrats on another new low!
I'm surprised that your calories were so low in general. With as much walking as you do, I would think you could get away with eating more than that. I thought your calories were averaging more like 1800 a day.
Good to see you're getting all your vitamins and minerals.
Thanks for the congratulations.
I'm sure that my calories were averaging at that when I worked it out a while back. As you know - I hardly ever work them out. The last time that I did was when you made me work them out across a week for the challenge in February just after I changed my food plan. I have just checked and the result then was:
Calorie range for week 7: 11,340 to 12,340
Min average daily calories = 1620
Fri=1554,Sat=1656,Sun=1603, Mon=1664, Tues=1635, Wed=1659, Thurs=1584 TOTAL= 11,355 This is within the range.
I know that I went into that week weighing 162 pounds and since I did not know how many calories I had been having (and was changing things about anyway) I basically came up with the notion of 10 times weight being a reasonable multiplier a year into a weight loss project. They always say about the rule of thumb multiplier being between 8 and 12.
I found it really interesting to see that I had naturally brought things down as my weight had dropped whilst still getting a pretty good level of nutrients. I found that quite encouraging.
In fact - I notice that - if I remove Rod's birthday from the equation - and average of the other six days is 1459. Since my weight varied between 147.6 and 143 during the week - I could hardly have thought of a better amount of calories to shoot for if still aiming for a 10 times weight multiple.
Also - my protein level was pretty much on target!
I do a lot of walking - but I suppose my PCOS works against me. Across the last challenge I got a rate that averaged 1.5 pounds a week - and I am happy with that - but I wouldnt be too pleased for it to drop so that I can have more calories or walk less. Indeed - I am not too keen on the notion of monitoring my calories on an ongoing basis so that I can tinker with them.
I find it interesting how much food that I can eat and come in on those calories while hitting all the nutrient levels.
