Omega's journey

Since I weigh every day - I know to expect daily fluctuations and therefore will not be surprised to be heavier over the next few days / weeks.

Having said that - I weighed myself after my walk on empty today and my weight was 10st0.6 i.e. 140.6 pounds. This gives me a BMI of 24.9 which is the first time that I have had a BMI in the "normal" range in over 20 years.

WOO WOOOOOO

Congrats
your hitting these milestones will full force and knocking them aside

We have put off the idea of Greece until September. There are some good festivals then and anyway - I want to be able to join in everything and not worry about whether my stitches are as fully healed as I would like.

I love Greece, absolutely amazing place to be. I stayed in Athens, had to see the Akropolis and the temples to quench my art history thirst. You're going to have so much fun! Take me with you! hehe Just kidding, but do have a good time!

Sarah - thanks. I have to admit that I am rather delighted about it all.

MissJellyBelly - We adore Greece too. If I had my way we would all go there and hardly ever go home. We have spent whole summers (May to November) on Rhodes and love so much about life in the villages.

I am sure that you would love life on the islands too. The history is not limited to Athens. It sounds like you had a wonderful time yourself. You need to start planning your next trip.

Thanks Judy. This project has pretty much taken over my life for the past 15 months - but I have hit some amazing milestones recently (halved my start weight, 150 pounds lost and now getting to a normal BMI). These brilliant milestones really make it all worthwhile.

Congrats on being NORMAL!!!!!!!!

Although I'm sure I could insert some quip in here about how you could never be "normal." ;)

:D

Well done, dear. That is really quite something. I'm looking forward to no longer being "obtuse"--I mean "obese". :D

Sorry your bank holiday weather forecast isn't so hot. I can tell you one thing, you should have sunny, warm weather between June 17th-24th, as England always has that kind of weather when I'm there in June. :D I always find it amusing when Brits apoligize for the good weather--as if they are disappointed it's not cold and rainy...lol.

:hurray::hurray:CONGRATULATIONS, MARGARET! Wow, I can't wait until I, too, am "normal" BMI! Well done. Ooh, I hope you are absolutely reveling in it!

Your goal is just getting closer and closer! Keep up the great work! :biggrinjester:

:grouphug:Well done, girlfriend!
Janice

Ooo got distracted by the BMI (yippie!) and forgot why I came here in the first place.

I really like sugar free jelly aswell! its quite low syn on SW, 1.5 for one sachet or 0.5 for those pre made pots. Jelly just goes right through you aswell it doesnt really need to be digested =D
I know what you mean about the revision but at least these are my last lost of exams for my A-levels, when they finish on the 17th of june im free all summer so I can really concentrate on working to earn some money and getting FIT for university in september.

Well done once again on the new low and normal BMI - you will be at your end goal soon!

Hiya! Just came to check out your diary as we're in the PURPLE TEAM together :)

Forgive me for not reading it all... hehe, I think I got the gist of it though!

Well done on your amazing progress, you're a prime example of living healthy!

Thanks for your congratulations Kimberly, Janice, Becky, Anke. I must admit to being very pleased with myself. You know how I thought that I must have looked odd when I went around saying "I am overweight" as my BMI went from "type 1 obesity" to "overweight" at the start of the year. Well I have come to conclusion that nothing makes you look less normal than the desire to say "I am normal" all the time.

Normal again today after my walk (total drowned rat impression in torrential rain - well it is a bank holiday!) 10st0.4 i.e. 140.4 pounds.

Kimberly - I really hope that you bring some good weather. I would hate for you to travel all that way and get the kind of weather we have today.

Becky - I have just had some more sugar free jelly. I had forgotten how much I like it. You are doing so well with your own weight loss project. You will be so slim by the time you start university in September.

Wow! You are sooo close to the 130s!! :hurray:

I also hope we have good weather, as we'll be doing a lot of walking, and like you, I prefer not to do the drowned rat impression thing. :D Thank goodness for umbrellas...lol

It's funny you're eating sugar-free jelly (we say jello or gelatin in the States, as we call jam jelly sometimes--why I have no clue!), as I've been eating some of it myself lately. It's filling and has hardly any cals so why not, eh?

Thank you Margaret! I practically skipped out of my class because I was so excited =D

I remeber you saying as christmas it seems so silly to be happy about being overweight but ever since I found out what a BMI was mine has been above the 30 mark so its nice to finally see it resting just under it.

Synonyms for Normal
ordinary, usual, standard, regular, typical, natural, average, common, run-of-the-mill;

In case of a conversation you feel the urge to drop the word normal a few dozen times you won't feel like you have over used the word!!!!
CONGRATULATIONS M!!!!!
Your Awesome!

I feel like i need to say congrats again :)

Hope your having a good day and your weekend was ok

Sarah

Thanks for visiting.

Kimberly
I'm still hovering there - but surely should be there soon. Thankfully "normal" again today after my walk - (but have to admit that I wasnt before my walk so I am still hovering just under that milestone).

Make sure you pack that rain poncho that you spoke of a week ago - because you certainly cannot trust English weather.

I have suddenly got hooked on sugar free jelly again. I really had quite forgotten how nice it was for the calories involved. I dont know that I find it that filling - but it tastes nice, has next to no calories and the act of eating takes a few minutes. I know a number of years ago I hit them big time on a weight loss campaign that ended badly. I suddenly was reminded of them when reading the WW bits and got some. I have been eating them every day. I have had some today and made up another couple of sachet's worth and got them chilling in the fridge.

Becky
None of us enjoy being obese (although I have to say that it is a lot nicer than being morbidly obese - I enjoyed getting to obesity too!) I think that we can all understand your delight. It really was better than any present (or indeed calorie full treat) that I had over Christmas. I am so pleased that you are enjoying it - you have worked hard to make it happen.

Dawn
Skinny people that have never been big cannot possibly appreciate how we feel when we appear (at first glance) to be similar to them. I love the list of alternative words. I suspect that I will never appear "normal" in so many ways - lets face it - going around saying "I am common" doesnt quite send the right message either.

Sarah
I'm having a pleasant day thanks. I am pleased to report that the weather has been much better today. I will be so pleased when I get to goal and feel that I have an element of choice in whether I go out walking every day or not. There are some days when I would like to skip the walking and give myself a day off. Horrible wet days when all I do is a drowned rat impression would head that list. I hated walking every step outside yesterday - and if you walk over 11 miles - a lot of them end up being outside. I know that Newcastle had quite nice weather yesterday. I hope that you fared better than me with the weather. The joy of the north/south divide!

Take care
Love
Margaret
