Checking In... :)

Wow, what beautiful pics Margaret!

Makes me want ta go have a pick-nick. ;)

I hope you have a Goal Reachin' Monday/Week! :hug2:

Thanks for visiting. I am pleased that you both like my Hatchlands photos - it really was very pretty.

Sweatpea
I have taken better control of my honey shreddies this week - but have to admit that the sudden weight decline is fully down to my body cycle in that I worked otherwise consistently hard during the gain from my low weight. I am coming to the end of my monthly dead fortnight and will get my real weightloss for the month over the next two weeks. It will then all effectively stand still for two weeks.

Stacy
I hope that you have a goal reaching Monday / week too. A picnic can be a brilliant way to spend a day - and it neednt mean too many calories at all. It is one of the best ways of getting Rod to do some walking too.

Take care
Love
Margaret

There are some paths through the woods there - and we cut off to the side when we saw this amazing blue patch while we were on one of the walks.

I agree Margaret, pick-nicks do not have to be fatty foods and empty cals. You can do so much re: pick-nick foods that are healthy and yummy!

We pick-nick a lot in the summer.

I cannot wait to start swimming!!! :hurray: We always pack a pick-nick basket for those days as well.

Our pool will be open here by Memorial Day/My B-Day..

As well as our local wave pool called Surf & Swim. We love that place!

I'm counting the days!

Hope your Monday is going well. :hug2:

Hi Stacy

My Monday is going fine - I hope that yours is too.

It is great that the pool is opening for your birthday. Does that mean that you are going there on a picnic that day?

I tend to go for lots of fresh fruit for picnics these days. Since I eat a lot of fresh fruit normally - they would not show up different in my food log.

Yesterday we went to watch our nephew playing rugby - my husband and I, plus Rod's brother and his wife (our nephews parents). I made sure that I had a bag of my fresh fruit with me so when everyone else opted for less than healthy choices - I had something good to eat. It was an enjoyable afternoon out and cost nothing as we got complimentary tickets.

Take care
Love
Margaret

Milestone

Today's weight (on empty, after walk) was 10st3.8 which is 143.8 pounds.

This is a new low weight - meaning that I have finally got below my pre-TOM low weight. With luck I can now start my two weeks where I have a chance to get some weightloss.

It also brings me for the first time to the situation where I have lost 150 pounds.

Woohoo!!!!!
150 pounds, I just can't believe it!!! Well done, Margaret! You have lost one of me plus one newborn baby ;)!!!

Anyhow you seem to have caught me in your weight loss... now the challenge begins... who will be at 120 first?? (probably you...)
Camy

:party::party:CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR 150 LB LOSS, MARGARET!!!:party:

What a fantastic goal to have reached! And to know that you did it all - every single pound - without some magic formula. You decided you wanted to change your life and enjoy better health, and you have done just that! OOOOH, I am so pleased and happy for you, my friend!

AWESOME JOB MARGARET!!!:sifone:
You really are an inspiration to all of us. Knowing that you did all that with just good old fashion "hard work"!
Keep at it girly and before too much longer you will have reached that final goal.
YOU ROCK!!!

Stacy, Camy, Janice, Kimberly, Dawn - Thanks for visiting and congratulating me on my milestone. I was aware that it was looming a couple of weeks ago - then my weightloss stopped as happens every month. I was just so relieved to get a new low weight that I didnt notice that I had hit the milestone at first. It was only after I changed my ticker that I realised that I had got there.

I am happy to report that the milestone still holds today - in fact I got another new low after my walk. Today's weight was 10st3.0 i.e. 143 pounds. My BMI is sitting at 25.3 - so my next milestone will be when I become "normal". That should be an intriguing milestone in itself because I am sure that there will be people that will argue that I have never been normal.

Take care
Love
Margaret

Well - I had my WW meeting today. I had logged my food accurately - so I could fill in the forms as accurately as possible. Everything fitted into their programs just fine.

I dont often do this - but while I was getting everything sorted out I fed everything into fitday just to see how the last week had panned out.

The result is as follows for the week ending Monday as a whole:
Average Calories Total: 1499
.... grams cals
Fat: 17 155
Sat: 4 36
Poly: 3 28
Mono: 5 48

Sodium mg 1543.6 --- ---
Potassium mg 3055.4 --- ---

The only things highlighted as having a problem are in bold.

Checking my Centrum Performance multivitamin - it contains
268% RDA for vitamin E
50% RDA for zinc
70mcg Selenium
100mg Calcium - but I also take a 400mg Calcium supplement
45mg Magnesium

It therefore would appear that I am not getting any deficiencies.

My calorie spread over this sample week were as follows:
Tues 1600
Wed 1488
Thur 1400
Fri 1406
Sat 1353
Sun 1735
Mon 1508

I am pretty pleased with that.
Also with the way that I was good and controlled my calories on Sunday (Rod's birthday). I managed to avoid all the treats.

Conrats on another new low!

I'm surprised that your calories were so low in general. With as much walking as you do, I would think you could get away with eating more than that. I thought your calories were averaging more like 1800 a day.

Good to see you're getting all your vitamins and minerals. :)
