My weight loss transformation (A work in progress)

sheet, your doing pretty well (to say the least).

What are you doing for exercise and diet?

Thank you. I dd alot of research on everything. I had to start from scratch.

Excerise....recently I've had to do HIIT (high intensity interval training) to break through my pleteau. It worked very well. I do it 3 times a week. I used to ride my bike 8-9 miles a day to the gym 5 days a week....sometimes I do marathons. I rode my bike 45 miles from chandler to apache junction....then 20 miles before that.

Diet is the most important. I plateau'd for 6-7 months AT LEAST because my diet was bad. I thought I was eating out healthy. But I wasn't...I didn't realize "healthy" fast food was full of salt, sugar, and other bad stuff. Mostly salt. They inject the stuff with sodium! Its crazy...anyway, I dropped 7 lbs of water rententino just from cutting out fast food and not eating out. I learned how to cook. I went to bodybuilding.com and learned how to do excerises...

I try to do interval cardio when I can.

This is my food journal:

Should also note:
I used to crave bad foods all the time...since I changed my diet around the past month and a half I do not crave them at all anymore...its quite odd. My parents even buy all types of junk and I just don't crave it at all. So I can suggest trying to clean up the diet with lots of whole grain, fiber (30 grams, fills you up), lots of water, protein, a good amount of carbs (for energy, carbs are your fuel source), low saturated fat, high in poly and mono fat, and low in sodium.

I'm 166.0 today. This is my final weight. I don't need to lose anymore.

The loose skin is deceptive...it looks like fat but it's not. I'm at 14-15% bodyfat (that was when I was .5 a lb heavier)

UPDATED with final pics.

Amazing man im so proud for you. Now enjoy you're life!

Thanks man. I'm beginning to even doubt the body fat meter...because I didn't do it exactly right (didn't fast before doing it, etc). I've been seeing a downward thread (17%, 16% for freakin forever, 15%, 14%, consistently and body changes)....But if you think about it for my height (I looked it up) the recommended weight for an army person who is 5'7'' and male is 169. I'm 3 lbs lighter than that. The loose skin is deceptive. But I can't let that hold me back.I have to like me for me. Its difficult sometimes coping with that. I still feel obese/fat because of the skin.

It's a body image problem I Have. More importantly, I could not have done any of this without all of the support from you guys throughout the years. So thank you all very much!

Congratulations on reaching your goal, I cannot even imagine how good you must feel. Incredible job!!

I doubt you post here or read here anymore but I have to say its people like you who inspired me to keep going.

Thank you

I hope you're going to stick around here because you're my biggest inspiration on these forums.

I'm at 176 now still have quite a belly on me though >_<

Congrats Spark! You have been an inspiration to me and my weight loss as well. I've been busting through yet another plateau (plus losing post-holiday weight), so seeing there is light at the end of the tunnel has been great

You look amazing! You have done beyond an amazing job and it is awesome that you have kept up with eating and exercising, I hate that I always just kind of fall out of the habit... and then gain weight back. You're my source of inspiration :D I am going to start kicking the junk out of my life and start hitting the gym more.

Thanks for the support! I should change this avatar....I don't like it. Was trying to find a new picture instead of the old one when i was really fat.

I don't look as good as you!...you're gorgeous!
