Well you see I thought I'd try a wee experiment to see if I could continue weight loss while introducing (though only as occasional treats) the food that brought me down last time. In all honesty I thought I was going to struggle getting enough cals in yesterday as I can easily burn 900cals in a double swim/gym session.

Today has been quite good, I was amazed to find I was very full after a tea of just a quorn fillet and some spinach. Before I'd quite easily scoff the fillet, some veg, some chips and maybe some beans too. My stomach must be getting used to smaller portions. Tomorrow is the start of my drive to do well in the group challenge! ;)

Crunchie ~ I don't know anything about what the time difference is between here and there but I'll do whatever I need to do to make it easy on you to get checked in with us in the beginning and at the end. :D

No problem hypo, as I'm in the FSD it'll be a bit difficult but what I'll do is post my weight on the Monday but not shift my ticker until Friday as I'd normally do.;)

MMM CURRY!! LOL Love curry! IN ANYTHING! LOL Now, about that fried pizza.. um, DON'T want to know!! LOL *shudders at the thought*

You're doing great! YOu'll do wonderful in the challenge :D

Hi Crunchie, How do you feel about reintroducing the foods you have a hard time with? I haven't really been able to do that, considering the foods I have a hard time with are so unhealthy anyway. I'm not sure I ever want to "reintroduce" them. I don't need processed white flour, white sugar pastries and cookies anyway. Chocolate bars I can handle (but only super dark, super rich chocolate that overwhelms you if you eat very much of it at all). Good work on the moderation & exercise. Keep it up!

I've made a slight alteration to my goal weight for just now and put it up to 136. This will give me a healthy BMI index (at first Ithought 135lbs was going to be the first number for this). When I get to my goal I may well decide to loose a bit more, my body might decide to continue loosing due to my lifestyle changes anyway. The BMI index lists 122lbs as my average weight but as this doesn't take into a account my weight lifting I'm sure it won't matter if I'm even a fair bit over, at the minute I'd be very happy with a healthy BMI index even though the method isn't a fool-proof way of checking weight.

Hey Crunchie!! Firstly I'd just like to ditto the whole Ewan McGregor thing!! ;) Not only is he a fabulously talented actor ...... but he is super cute too :D

I wouldn't worry about missing out on exercise because of your long nap ... you obviously needed it, plus we put on the muscle and lose the fat while we are sleeping, so good on ya!!

That is such a good idea introducing treats every now and then. That should really help with maintenance, as it won't be like you aren't allowed choc now, and then suddenly the flood gates open. Good thinking ;)

I think the BMI is good... but it should be used as a guideline. As long as you aren't too high or too low, you should be fine. And I do agree the BMI does not take into account of muscle mass probably. Just weight.

the bmi..... well everyone I have seen at their "proper" bmi always seems overly thin. Its just me but the think the bmi goes a little low...

I think it is really good that you are just using the BMI has a "starting point" and then are planning to listen to your body and go up or down from there. That is a great idea. :D

Crunchie, I just love how sensible you are about these changes. Everything I've seen with you from working out to eating really seems to be moderation and permanent lifestyle change. Keep it up.

Here's my food for today! I went shopping with my aunt and gran in the afternoon and forgive me but I did treat myself (see pic at end of thread).

Anyway we spent ages wandering around this big shopping center looking for a present for my wee cousin. Eventually we decided she had everything in the place already so agreed to stick money in a card.

Anyway on the way home I expressed dissapointment at there being no pet shop as I was looking for new water dishes for my lizards and snake. My aunt offered to take me to an exotics pet shop on the way home so I did that. When I got there I spotted some nice scorpions for a good price so I treated myself to a pair (this treat is not for eating ;) ).

The pictures here are of the male, they are both big but he has bigger pincers than his girl friend!

Please excuse my obsession with odd bugs!

treats you can't eat are the best kinds... :) but in looking at them - i was gonna say- mmmm lobsters.. get the butter :) guess that'd be bad though :)

I think it's adorable that you like bugs...

OMG Girl - those pictures should come with warning labels!!!

And they're IN your house?

Like I mentioned in another diary, my daughter would LOVE to live with you!
The only critter I've allowed in was a DEAD Giant Hairy Scorpion she found in the desert while camping last year.

I'm ok if they don't move ;)

BTW, Cannon is right, I really like your logical and practical approach to moderation!

Good Job :)

I was thinking the same thing that Mal was when you said you "decided to treat" yourself. I thought what the heck, did she eat those things? I thought them to be some sort of exotic, Scottish Lobster.

I'm glad you got some new babies. What do you feed those things?

You know what I love about Ewan McGregor? He's like Mr. Naked! You watch one of his movies and all of a sudden BOOM! Naked! :)

You are so sensible about things it's nuts. You're my idol!

Hey Crunchie :) Your food looks fantastic! Keep up the good work... now that Im back(for good :) ) I'll stop in more often :D

Great job on "treating yourself" with non-food!! that deserves a cheer!! Awesome!! Enjoy your new little guys!!!!!!!!! Food looks good too! Keep up the great work!
